유명화

새해 아침

검은 호랑이

등을 타고

찬란한 빛이

솟아오른다

희망의 태양을

왕관처럼 쓰고

두 손을 모아

저마다 간절한

소원을 빈다

골골이 흘러 흘러

억만년 굽이쳐온

우리의 생명 샘

온 땅을 적셔온

화합의 바다

붉게 솟아오르는

태양 빛을 받아

평화와 번영

자유와 포용의

새 물결이 출렁인다

The Harmonizing Sea

On the morning of the New Year,

riding upon a black tiger,

the radiant sun

rises.

Wearing the sun of hope

like a crown,

people offer

their earnest prayers,

their hands clasped together.

The spring of life,

flowing through every corner of our existence

for hundreds of millions of years—

the harmonizing sea,

moistening the whole earth—

Beneath the crimson glow

of the rising sun,

the newborn waves of the sea dance

with peace and prosperity,

with freedom and generosity.
