Summary:
Paul teaches that while all things may be lawful, not all are beneficial or should gain control over us. The body is not meant for immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. Just as God raised the Lord from the dead, He will also raise believers through His power.
Teaching:
We are saved through our faith in Jesus Christ. Both our soul and body are saved. The kingdom of God is being established among us, so we are already living within the spiritual kingdom of God. Therefore, when we live for the Lord with our bodies, our lives become spiritual.
We do not live to eat, but to live for the Lord. Our bodies exist for the Lord, and God does not lead us to harm. Look at the figures in the Bible—though they suffered, their lives shone brightly through their trials. Use your body and your money for the Lord. Our bodies have been brought to life through the death of Jesus Christ; therefore, use your body for the Lord. And use it for the benefit of the church.
