A man and two children are finally safe after surviving a night on the wing of a plane that crashed this weekend.
Terry Godes wast first to spot the plane that was partially submerged in an icy Alaska lake.
He set out Monday morning to join the search after seeing a Fcebook post about the missing plane.
He spotted what he thought was a wreckage in Lake Tustumena near a toe of a glacier.
AS he got closer, he saw three poeple on the wing.
The people, a pilot and two children had gone sighseeing on the Kenai Peninsula.
All three were rescued by the Alaska National Guard.
Authorities say they were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
