                                                    많은 사람을 위하여 흘리는바 나의 피 곧 언약의 피니라

                                                                                   (마26:25~45)

마26:25   예수를 파는 유다가 대답하여 가로되 랍비여 내니이까 대답하시되 네가 말하였도다 하시니라

Mat26:25   Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

마26:26   저희가 먹을 때에 예수께서 떡을 가지사 축복하시고 떼어 제자들을 주시며 가라사대 받아 먹으라 이것이 내 몸이니라 하시고

Mat26:26   And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

마26:27   또 잔을 가지사 사례하시고 저희에게 주시며 가라사대 너희가 다 이것을 마시라

Mat26:27   And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

마26:28   이것은 죄 사함을 얻게 하려고 많은 사람을 위하여 흘리는바 나의 피 곧 언약의 피니라

Mat26:28   For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

마26:29   그러나 너희에게 이르노니 내가 포도나무에서 난 것을 이제부터 내 아버지의 나라에서 새것으로 너희와 함께 마시는 날까지 마시지 아니하리라 하시니라

Mat26:29   But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

마26:30   이에 저희가 찬미하고 감람산으로 나아가니라

Mat26:30   And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

마26:31   때에 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 오늘 밤에 너희가 다 나를 버리리라 기록된바 내가 목자를 치리니 양의 데가 흩어지리라 하였느니라

Mat26:31   Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

마26:32   그러나 내가 살아난 후에 너희보다 먼저 갈릴리로 가리라

Mat26:32   But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

마26:33   베드로가 대답하여 가로되 다 주를 버릴찌라도 나는 언제든지 버리지 않겠나이다

Mat26:33   Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

마26:34   예수께서 가라사대 내가 진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘밤 닭 울기 전에 네가 세 번 나를 부인하리라

Mat26:34   Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

마26:35   베드로가 가로되 내가 주와 함께 죽을찌언정 주를 부인하지 않겠나이다 하고 모든 제자도 이와 같이 말하니라

Mat26:35   Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee, Likewise also said all the disciples.

마26:37   베드로와 세베대의 두 아들을 데리고 가실쌔 고민하고 슬퍼하사

Mat26:37   And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

마26:38   이에 말씀하시되 내 마음이 심히 고민하여 죽게 되었으니 너희는 여기 머물러 나와 함께 깨어 있으라 하시고

Mat26:38   Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

마26:39   조금 나아가사 얼굴을 땅에 대시고 엎드려 기도하여 가라사대 내 아버지여 만일 할만하시거든 이 잔을 내게서 지나가게 하옵소서 그러나 나의 원대로 마옵시고 아버지의 원대로 하옵소서 하시고

Mat26:39   And he went little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

마26:40   제자들에게 오사 그 자는 것을 보시고 베드로에게 말씀하시되 너희가 나와 함께 한 시 동안도 이렇게 깨어 있을 수 없더냐

Mat26:40   And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

마26:41   시험에 들지 않게 깨어 있어 기도하라 마음에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다 하시고

Mat26:41   Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

마26:42   다시 두 번째 나아가 기도하여 가라사대 내 아버지여 만일 내가 마시지 않고는 이 잔이 내게서 지나갈 수 없거든 아버지의 원대로 되기를 원하나이다 하시고

Mat26:42   He went away again the second time, and prayed, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

마26:43   다시 오사 보신즉 저희가 자니 이는 저희 눈이 피곤함일러라

Mat26:43   And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

마26:44   또 저희를 두시고 나아가 세 번째 동일한 말씀으로 기도하신 후

Mat26:44   And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

마26:45   이에 제자들에게 오사 이르시되 이제는 자고 쉬라 보라 때가 가까웠으니 인자가 죄인의 손에 팔리우느니라

Mat26:45   Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

* 무교절(ἄζυμος, 아쥐모스) ‘아’(부정접두사)와 ‘쥐메’(누룩)의 합성어. ‘누룩이 없는’ 이란 뜻. 유월절(니산월 14일 저녁) 다음날부터 일주일동안 누룩 넣지 않은 떡을 먹으며 출애굽을 기념하는 절기.

* 내 때가 가까이 왔으니( ̔Ο καιρός μου ε̕γ ̄γύς, 호 카이로스 무 엥귀스) ‘카이로스’(때)는 하나님이 정하신 특정한 때. 결국 본문은 하나님께서 예비하신 때, 곧 예수님의 십자가 죽음의 때가 가까이 왔다는 말이다.

* 앉으셨더니(α̕νάκειμαι, 아나케이마이) 원뜻은 ‘기대다.’ 당시 유대, 헬라, 로마인들은 한쪽 팔을 받치고 비스듬히 기대어 식사하는 것이 관례였다.

* 언약(διαθήκη, 디아데케) ‘계약, 유언’ 이란 뜻. 이 단어는 인간을 향한 하나님 편에서의 일방적인 약속이나 계약을 의미한다. 계약 당사자간의 상호 협의에 의한 언약을 뜻하는 ‘쉰데케’와는 구별된다.

* 겟세마네(Γεθσημανί, 게드세마니) 아람어 ‘가트 쉐멘’(기름짜는 틀)의 헬라어 음역. 예루살렘 동쪽 기드론 시내 건너편 감란산 서쪽 기슭에 있는 동산. 예수께서 십자가를 지시기전 마지막으로 기도하신 곳.

* 마음(πνευ̑μα, 프뉴마) ‘프네오’(호흡하다)에서 파생. 선악을 분별하는 양심의 좌소. 한글 성경에서는 영(靈)으로 번역한 경우가 많다.

* 군단(λεγιών, 레기온) 로마의 ‘군단’을 뜻하는 라틴어 ‘레기오’의 헬라어 음역. 로마 군대에서 가장 큰 부대 단위다. 1군단 병력은 약 3,000-6,000명 정도.

* 여종(παιδισκη, 파이디스케) ‘파이스’(소녀)의 지소사(指小辭). 나이 어린 여종을 일컫는다.

* 말소리(λαλιά, 랄리아) ‘랄레오’(말하다)에서 파생. 당시 갈릴리 사람들은 후음과 치음을 구분하여 발음하지 못했기 때문에 다른 지방 사람들에게 쉽게 식별되었다.
