Metaverse

Talk about the concept of metaverses.

A metaverse is a 3D virtual world where social,

economic, and cultural activites take place,

just like in real life.

The word combines "meta," which means

"beyond," and "universe."

A metaverse goes a step beyoun virtual reality(VR).

Its defining trait is that people can perform

the same activities in it as they would in the real

world.

I recently say a live performance by John Legend,

filmed witha motion camera and recreated in real

time in a metaverse.

Watching that, I thought that metaverses will soon

fuse with VR elements and really take root in our

lives.

Metaverses may become an even more powerful

medium than our current social media.

I would like to take part in these metaverse worlds,

exploring the possibilities for myself.

메타버스는 현실 세계와 같은 방식으로 사회, 경제,

문화 활동이 이루어지는 3차원의 가상 세계를

가리킵니다.

이 용어는 '초월'을 뜻하는 단어 '메타'(Meta)와

'유니버스'(Universe)의 합성어를 가리킵니다.

메타버스는 가상 현실(VR)보다 한 단계 더 진화한

개념으로, 사람들이 실제 현실과 같은 활동을

메타버스 안에서 할 수 있다는 특징이 있습니다.

저는 최근에 존 레전드의 라이브 공연을 모션

카메라로 촬영해 실시간으로 메타버스 세상 속에서

재현해 내는 것을 봤습니다.

그것을 보면서, 가까운 미래에 이러한 메타버스가

VR 요소와 결합되어 우리의 삶에 깊숙이 스며들

거라는 생각이 들었습니다.

메타버스는 현재의 SNS보다 어쩌면 더 강력한

매체가 될 수도 있습니다.

저도 메타버스의 세상에 참여하며 주체적으로

그 가능성을 탐구해 보고 싶습니다.

메타버스가 요즘 사람들 입에 많이 오르내린다.

메타버스는 현실 세계와 같은 방식으로 사회,경제,

문화 활동이 이루어지는 3차원의 가상 세계를 가르킨다. 

이 용어는 '초월'을 뜻하는 단어 '메타'와 '유니버스'의 

합성어이다.

- Metaverses are on everyone's lips these days. 

  A metaverse is a 3D virtual world in which social, 

  economic and cultural activities take place, 

  just like in a real life.

특징이 있다.

결합되어 우리의 삶에 깊숙이 스며들 거라는 생각이 들었다.

메타버스는 우리 삶에 큰 여파를 끼치면서 현재의 SNS보다 

어쩌면 더 강력한 매체가 될 수도 있다. 

나도 메타버스의 세상에 참여하며 주체적으로 그 가능성을 

탐구해 보고 싶다.

+ medium : 매체( media : medium의 복수형태)

+ set foot in : ~에 참여하다, ~에 발을 들여놓다

+ explore : 탐구하다,탐색하다

+ on one's own : 혼자서, 스스로, 맘대로

+ make waves : 여파를 끼치다, 파장을 일으시다​

난 신경 안 써

*for all:'모든 것을 위해;~에도 불구하고(in spite of)'

*for all I care->직역:'내가 신경 씀에도 불구하고'인데

그럼에도 지금 우리가 언급하는 내용은 전혀 신경쓰고 

있지 않다는 의미.즉 '난 신경 안 써/내가 알 바 아니야'

정도로 해석. 주로 문장의 뒤쪽에 배치되어 활용됨.

A: You can do what you like,for all I care.

   당신은 당신이 좋아하는 걸 해도 돼,난 신경 안 써.    

B: Why are you acting weird today? 

     Did I do something wrong? 

   오늘 왜 이상하게 굴어?
