3) 부모 마음의 흐름 - 2

사랑하는 부모가 볼 때, 자기 자식이 병자가 되어 있고 병신이 되어 있을 때에는 높고 깊은 사랑의 심정이 그 병신 자식에게로 흐르는 게 원칙입니다. 그게 틀렸어요?

그런 불구자의 심정은 계곡입니다. 부모의 심정은 꼭대기의 큰 자리입니다. 그러한 부모의 심정이 꼭대기로부터 그 깊은 골짜기로 흘러갑니다. (147- 166) 

자식을 위하는 부모의 품에는 나쁜 것이 없습니다. 어머니 옷이 누더기면 누더기일수록, 비참하면 비참할수록 그것이 눈물의 깊은 골짜기를 파 내려가고 있다는 겁니다. (173-263) 

사랑하는 자식을 대하는 부모는 자식에게 결점이 있더라도 그 결점을 먼저 들춰내지 않습니다. 자신의 좋은 점만 닮기를 바랍니다.

자식의 악한 면을 보고 뺨을 때렸을지라도 동정하고 후회하는 것이 부모의 심정인 것입니다. 그것은 그때의 악한 여건을 기준으로 해서 때린 것이 아니기 때문입니다.

자기를 닮은 작은 부분이라도 있으면 그것을 악한 면보다 크게 보려는 기준을 중심 삼고 이해하려고 하는 것이 자식을 대하는 부모의 심정입니다. (16- 172)

3) 父母の心の流れ - 2

愛する父母が見るとき、自分の息子が病人になっていて、障害者になっているときには、高く深い愛の心情がその障害のある子どもに流れるのが原則です。違いますか。

そういう身体障害者の心情は渓谷です。父母の心情は山頂の大きな位置です。そのような父母の心情が山頂からその深い谷間に流れていきます。（一九八六・九・七、ベルベディア修練所）

子どもに尽くす父母の心には悪いものがありません。母親の服がぼろぼろであるほど、悲惨であればあるほど、それが涙の深い谷をつくっているというのです。（一九八八・二・二一、本部教会）

愛する子どもに対する父母は、子どもに欠点があってもその欠点を先に指摘しません。自分の良い点だけ似ることを願います。子どもの悪い面を見てほおを引っぱたいても、同情し、後悔するのが父母の心情なのです。

それは、そのときの悪い与件を基準にしてなぐったのではないからです。自分に似た小さい部分でもあれば、それを悪い面より大きく見ようとする基準を中心として、理解しようとするのが子どもに対する父母の心情です。（一九六六・三・一三、前本部教会）

3) The Flow of the Parents' Heart - 2

When loving parents look at their children, and one of them were sick or disabled, the high and deep love of parents also flows to the disabled child, that is the principle. Is that wrong?

The heart of the disabled child is like a glen. The heart of the parents is like a high peak. So the parents' heart flows from the peak to the deep glen. (147-166) 

There is nothing bad in the hearts of parents living for the sake their children. The more worn out the mother's clothes are, the more miserable they are, the love of the mother flows down the valley of tears. (173-263) 

Even if the children had some fault, a loving parents would not point it out at first. They want their children to inherit only the good points.

Even if the parents hit the child on the cheek to scold them, they feel sorry and regret it, that is their heart. They did not hit the child because of the bad incident.

If there is any small way in which the child has taken after the parents, the parents appreciate it more than the bad point and on that basis they try to understand the child, that is the heart of parents raising children. (16-172)
