Bible Reading - Colossians 2:11~23

2:11 In him you were also circumcised, 그 안에서 너희는 또한 할례를 받았다.

in the putting off of the sinful nature, 죄악된 본성을 벗어버림으로써

not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ,

사람들의 손으로 행해진 할례가 아닌 그러나 그리스도에 의하여 행해진 할례로

2:12 having been buried with him in baptism 세례로 그와 함께 장사됨으로 

and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

그를 죽은 자들로부터 올리우신 하나님의 능력 안에 있는 너의 믿음을 통해 그와 함께 올리우심을 받았다.

2:13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, 

너희들의 죄와 너희들의 죄악된 본성의 무할례로 너희가 죽었을 때 

God made you alive with Christ.  하나님은 너희들을 그리스도와 함께 살리셨다.

He forgave us all our sins, 그는 우리의 모든 죄를 용서하셨다.
2:14 having canceled the written code, 쓰여진 증서를 기각하심으로 

with its regulations, 그 규정과 함께 

that was against us and that stood opposed to us; 우리를 반대하고 대적하는

he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 그는 그것을 십자가에 못 박으심으로 그것을 치워버리셨다.

해석 - 우리를 반대하고 대적하는 그 규정과 함께 쓰여진 그 증서를 기각하심으로 그는 우리의 모든 죄를 용서하셨고 그것(그 증서)을 십자가에 못박으심으로 치워버리셨다.

2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, 그리고 권력과 권위를 무장 해제하심으로 

he made a public spectacle(공개적인 구경거리) of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

그는 십자가로 그들을 이기시고 그들을 공개적인 구경거리로 삼으셨다.

2:16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 그러므로 아무도 네가 먹고 마시는 것으로, 혹은 종교적인 축제에 관하여나, 새로운 달을 축하하는 것이나 안식일로 인하여 너를 판단하지 않게 하라.

2:17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

이것들은 앞으로 올 일들의 그림자일 뿐이나 실체는 그리스도 안에서 발견된다.

2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. 거짓된 겸손과 천사 숭배를 기뻐하는 사람이 여러분의 상을 받을 자격에서 제외시키지 못하게 하라.

Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, 

그런 사람은 자기가 본 것을 아주 자세하게 설명하고

and his unspiritual mind puffs him up(~부풀리다) with idle notions(헛된 생각으로).

그리고 그의 영적이지 않은 마음은 쓸데없는 생각으로 그를 교만하게(부풀리게) 만든다.

2:19 He has lost connection with the Head, 그는 머리와 연결을 잃었다.

from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments(인대) and sinews(근육), grows as God causes it to grow.

머리로부터 온 몸이 힘줄과 인대에 의해 지지되고 결합되어 하나님께서 자라게 하시는 대로 성장한다.

2:20 Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules:너희가 이 세상의 초등학문에 대하여 그리스도와 함께 죽었거든 어찌하여 세상에 속한 자로서 세상의 법칙에 복종하느냐?

2:21 "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"?

"잡지도 말고 맛보지도 말고 만지지도 말라" (는 세상의 법칙에 복종하느냐?)

2:22 These are all destined to perish with use, 이 모든 것들은 사용함으로 멸망되도록 운명지어져있다.

because they are based on human commands and teachings.

왜냐하면 그것들은 인간의 계명과 가르침들에 기초되어져있기 때문이다. 

2:23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom,

그러한 규정은 실제로 지혜의 모습을 띠고 있다.

with their self-imposed worship, 자의적인 숭배로

their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body,

그들의 거짓된 겸손과 그들의 신체를 괴롭히는데

but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

하지만 그것은 감각적 방종을 억제하는 데는 아무런 가치가 없다.

해석 - 그러한 규정은 자의적인 숭배로 그들의 거짓된 겸손과 그들의 신체를 괴롭히는데 실제로 지혜로운 모습을 띠고 있으나 그것들은 감각적인 방종을 억제하는 데는 아무런 가치가 없다.
