Pan은 Camera가 좌우로 움직이는 기능이고,
Tilt는 상하로 움직이는 기능이며,
Zoom은 확대 축소하는 기능입니다.

팬(Pan), 틸트(Tilt), 롤(Roll),
팬(Pan) : 좌우 방향 틀기 움직임, yaw에 해당

팬 틸트(Pan Tilt)는 카메라가 좌우로 움직이는 팬(Pan)과 위아래로 움직이는 틸트(Tilt)를 의미합니다.
팬 틸트 줌(Pan Tilt Zoom, PTZ)은 팬, 틸트, 줌 기능이 모두 가능한 카메라 시스템을 말합니다.
PTZ 카메라는 원격으로 조작할 수 있어 텔레비전 방송 제작, 스포츠 이벤트 등 다양한 분야에서 사용됩니다.
PTZ 카메라를 선택할 때는 다음과 같은 사항을 고려해야 합니다.
이미지 센서: 이미지 센서가 커지면 해상도가 높아지지만, 카메라의 크기와 무게가 커집니다.
초점 거리: 이미지 센서가 클수록 초점 거리가 짧아지기 때문에 수동 또는 자동으로 초점을 조절해 주어야 합니다.
줌 배율: 줌 배율이 높을수록 더 비싼 줌 모듈을 채용해야 하기 때문에 원가가 상승합니다.
화각: 사용하고자 하는 공간의 크기와 피사체들이 배치된 상태를 고려해서 화각을 선택해야 합니다.

그리스 신화에 나오는 목신(牧神). 상반신(上半身)의 사람 모습에 염소의 다리와 뿔을 가지고 있으며, 음악·무용을 좋아함. 사람에게 원인 모를 공포를 일으키게 하므로, 공황(恐慌)을 의미하는 패닉(panic)의 어원(語源)이 됨.
