Summary:
When the church gathers, various gifts may be offered, but all must be done for edification. Tongues should be limited to two or three speakers with an interpreter; otherwise the speaker should remain silent. Prophets should speak in turn, with others evaluating, and if a revelation comes to another, the first should yield. The spirits of prophets are subject to the prophets, for God is not a God of confusion but of peace.
Teaching:
When we gather, each of us should bring a psalm, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be for building up the church.
The church is the body of Christ, and each of the holy people of God is a member of that body. The members of the body each carry out their own functions. In the same way, when the holy people of God come to worship, each person must faithfully carry out their role. Whether the role is prominent or unseen, all must be done with the principle of building up.
Those who hear the Word need two attitudes: an attitude of hearing and obeying, and an attitude of discerning whether this Word is truly from God. The benefit of the Word comes when I read it, understand it, and grasp its meaning.
All the holy people of God must be learners, and all the holy people of God must also be able to teach.
