칭찬은 피상적이고 두루뭉술하기보다는 구체적인 이해에 기반해야 합니다. 자유로운 관계가 아닌 권력 구조 안에서의 칭찬은 진정성이 사라지고 아첨이나 아부가 됩니다. 인격적인 관계 안에서 주님의 행하신 일과 성품을 알고서 자원하여 칭찬과 경탄을 고백해 드리는 것이 찬양입니다. Praise should be based on concrete understanding rather than superficial and crude. Praise within a power structure rather than a free relationship loses its authenticity and becomes flattery or flattery. It is praise to know the Lord's deeds and character in personal relationships and volunteer to confess praise and admiration.

이스라엘만이 아니라 온 땅을 찬양으로 초대합니다. 여호와 하나님은 이스라엘만의 지역 신이 아니라 온 땅을 창조하고 다스리는 주권자이기 때문입니다. 그 하나님의 사랑과 돌보심을 기억하고 즐겁게 찬양하고 기쁨으로 섬기라고 초청한다. 섬김은 종으로서 하나님의 통치에 복종하라는 뜻입니다. 앎이 예배의 필수 조건인 겁니다. 성문에 들어갈 때는 감사하고, 성전 뜰에 이르러서는 여호와의 이름을 찬송하라고 명령합니다. 시인에게는 하나님의 백성들이 그래야 할 이유가 차고 넘쳤어요. 무엇보다 하나님은 그런 대접을 받아 마땅하신 분입니다. 그는 선하십니다. 그는 인자하십니다. 그는 성실하십니다.
