화합을 이루면서 가지런히 정돈되고, 공경하면서 고요한 사람은 氣(기)가 위엄을 갖춘 것이다.

  A person who achieves harmony while remaining neat and orderly,

  and who shows respect while remaining calm and composed,

  possesses dignity in their Qi(vital energy / spirit).

사사로움을 돌보지 않고, 재화를 사사롭게 다루지 않는 사람은 義(의)로움이 위엄을 갖춘 것이다.

  A person who does not pursue personal interest and does not handle wealth 

  for selfish gain possesses dignity in their righteousness(Ui). 

옳고 바름을 존중하고 청렴과 결백을 존중하는 것은 말이 위엄을 갖춘 것이다.

  Respecting what is right and proper, as well honoring integrity and purity,

   means that one′s speech possesses dignity.

和而整하고 肅而靜者는 氣嚴也요 (화이정하고 숙이정자는 기엄야요)

  One who achieves harmony while remaining neat and orderly,

   and who shows solemn ewspect while remaining calm and composed,

   possesses dignity in their Qi(spirit / vital force);

不顧私不私財者는 義嚴也요  (불고사불사재자는 의엄야요 )

  One who does not care for selt-interest and does ant appropriate wealth

  for personal gain possesses dignity in their righteousness(Ui);

主正直하며 主廉潔者는 詞嚴也니라. (주정직하며 주렴결자는 사엄야니라.)

  One who values honesty and uprightness, and prioritizes integrity and purity,

  possesses dignity in their speech(sa).

 [Explanation, 풀이]

福(복)을 이루는 일에 嚴(엄)함이 요구된다는 것은  의미심장한 의미가 있다.

  The requirement of dignity(or strictness, Eom) in achieving good fortune(Bok)

   holds a profound significance.

기본적으로 福(복)은 마치 태풍의 눈처럼 모든 움직임의 중앙에 스스로가 위치할 때 그 자격이 부여된다.

  Fundamentally, good fortune is granted when one positions oneself at the very center

  of all movement, much like the eye of a storm.

다음 그 움직임을  영원하게 하기 위해서는 시작과 끝을 제거해야만 한다.

  Next, to make that movement eternal, one must eliminate both the beginning and the end.

시작과 끝을 제거하기 위해서는 갖가지 禍(화)를 추방하여 야만 가능한 것이다.

 Eliminating the beginning and the end is possible only by banishing all kinds of misfortune(Hwa).
