1974년 Terry jacks가 불러 대단한 인기를 기록했던 노래.

키안 이간(Kian Egan), 마크 피힐리(Mark Feehilly), 브라이언 맥파든(Bryan McFadden),

셰인 필란(Shane Filan), 닉키 바이런(Nicky Byrne)으로 구성된 아일랜드 밴드 '웨스트라이프(Westlife)'가

1999년 리바이벌해 다시 한 번 사랑을 받게 된 곡이다.

원래 이곡은 벨기에 출신 시인이자 작곡가인 자크 브렐(Jacques brel)이 부른 'Le Moribond'.

테리 젝스(Terry Jacks)가 노래를 부를 당시 베트남 전쟁과 연계되어

죽음을 앞둔 군인의 이야기로 와전되어 큰 반향을 일으켰다.

내용은 한 남자가 죽어가면서 친구,아버지,딸에게 인사를 하는 가슴아픈 이야기다.

I really liked this song when I was young in Korea. At that time, I did not fully understand meaning of the lyric; but just liked the tune. Understanding meaning of the lyric while listening the song provides me with much stronger feeling.. I am not sure if you can get the same feeling from the translated Korean Lyric. One can't translate the feeling^.^
