Understanding of justification from faith and the law
Evangelist ・ 2021. 6. 26. 5:35
Hallelujah! Heavenly Father, full of love and mercy! Thank you for always being with us in a dizzy and turbid(confused) world, comforting us, giving us strength, and leading us on the right path. Corona shows no sign of ending, and our brothers of faith, who have to gather together, fellowship with each other, and praise God together, are earnestly praying that we will gather again soon.
This year there is a lot of rain and there are many days when the sky is clear, and June is coming to an end, and the weather is cool in the morning and evening. Corona has an impact on the world's climate. There are no signs of an end, with new variants appearing again. Still, let us spend this time patiently with prayer and preparation so that we can praise God more and more when we gather again! Corruption and injustice can only be discerned by the standards of the Bible, but we are trying to overcome this age with the laws of the world and our own opinions without the law(the law of Moses)
Please let 50 million people and 10 million believers learn well and keep the law, the greatest law in history given by God! We pray fervently in the name of our Lord Jesus. amen!
Shalom! I am coming back here after a long time. Recently, I have collected and organized the articles that have already been posted to organize the 50 million Bible Summary. And as a preface to this article, I wrote an article titled above and upload it.
We know the belief in justification from faith from what we learned in the church that all believers are justified by faith. Along with this, I told you that I met Jesus, repented, was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and received the gift of the Holy Spirit after receiving the remission of sins from God. And as I continued evangelism, I later explained that I came to understand justification through the testimony of 'justification from faith shown to the evangelist'. The main contents are expressed as shown in the figure below.
Based on the understanding of Acts 2:38, I drew it as above. And I said that the process of justification is important. I thought that if there was forgiveness of sins worthy of receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, it would be so. However, recently, while organizing the warm-up part of the study of Romans, Galatians and Habakkuk, I came up with the following. This is the most recent understanding.
Until I reached this understanding, I understood justification from faith as the process shown in the picture above. And based on this again, through understanding Habakkuk, which is a preceding step in understanding Romans, I have been able to adjust the time when justification from faith takes place for believers. That time is when the saints receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and live by faith. The article below explains that.
All the writings are on Fifty Million Romans Blog and Daum Cafe, so you can refer to them. If you need any materials, I will send you the materials I have compiled into a book, so please send me your address to receive them. It has been organized into two volumes. Please apply at jkdavid@hanmail.net. The cost of copying is more than 40,000 won for 2 copies (approximately 550 pages) because of the high color, but 50,000 won including shipping, so if you need it, please apply. And all the materials are in the blog and cafe, so please refer to it.
Understanding the faith of justification from faith (the faith necessary for justification from faith) and the law(Moses’s law)
The faith in Romans 1:17 is a faith with two meanings. At the same time, it is an explanation related to the faith of the two people. It is not about mere belief.
First, the two meanings are beliefs with temporal continuity. This means that in order for the faith to be justified by God, it must not be a temporary, instantaneous, or just-started faith, but a faith that does not change over time. This is explained in Romans 4:17-22 through the faith of Abraham.
Next, the faith to become another justification is to trust God and live righteously even in the midst of suffering. This can be confirmed through the words of Habakkuk 2:4.
In order to become a justifying faith, we must first have a consistent faith that does not change over time. Along with this, even if the country perishes and all the people of one's own people commit injustice, the rightousness must always look to and believe in the righteous God, and even if the whole world does injustice, they must have faith that will never waver and live righteously. Not only must our faith in God not change over time, but we must believe in God even if there are hardships, and we must have faith in living a righteous life day by day.
The Bible testifies clearly, decisively and without compromise that this is the faith in which the believer is justified by God in Romans.
Now, for this argument, let us understand the true meaning of faith by examining the lives of the two figures who are examples of faith quoted in Romans through the Bible. First of all, Abraham, the ancestor of faith recorded in Genesis, firmly believed in the Creator, Almighty, and Righteous God and His word of promise without changing over time. He believed in the fact that Almighty God would surely put into practice God's word of promise, which was impossible to realize or even think about as a human being. This faith was unwavering no matter how old and time passed. Eventually, when he reached the age of 100, he received the son of promise and became the ancestor of countless believers like the stars in the sky, as well as the ancestor of Israel. The words of Romans 4:17-22 prove this.
Abraham's faith was not a momentary, temporary, or beginning faith, but an unchanging faith in an impossible promise and in God who fulfills that promise. It was through this faith that he was justified. We must never forget this meaning and background behind the word faith.
Romans 4:17. As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed -- the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.
18. Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be."
19. Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead -- since he was about a hundred years old -- and that Sarah's womb was also dead.
20. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,
21. being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
22. This is why "it was credited to him as righteousness.“
17. (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
18. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
20. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness(NIV, KJV)
Next, let's look at Habakkuk's faith in the book of Habakkuk. In Romans 1:17, it is translated as “Only my righteous will live by faith,” so it seems that the righteous survive or live because they have faith. However, these words are not the words of the prophet Habakkuk, but the words of God who justified Abraham to the prophet Habakkuk in Habakkuk 2:4.
However, under what circumstances God spoke these words to Habakkuk, we must know the circumstances before and after chapter 2 in order to understand the exact meaning of these words. Therefore, readers who want to understand all Romans accurately and deeply must open Habakkuk and read the whole text carefully. Fortunately, the book of Habakkuk is only three chapters, so anyone can easily read it.
After Israel was divided into North and South, Northern Israel was first destroyed by Assyria in about 722 B.C. Prophet Haba-guk ministered in southern Judah when even the only remaining southern Judah ignored the warnings of many prophets and walked the unrighteous path. He is a prophet who predicted the destruction of southern Judah, which is about to be destroyed. He prophesied from about 609 to 605 BC. South Judah was destroyed by Babylon in 586 B.C., but there were already 1st and 2nd invasions of Babylon in 605 and 598, so it can be said that he was the last prophet of South Judah.
At the time of the prophet Habakkuk, the fall (corruption) of southern Judah was so serious that people who wanted to live righteously could no longer live. The law was gone, and the priests, the dignitaries, and the whole people were doing iniquity. At this time, righteous people like Habakkuk, who wanted to live righteously against such injustice, reported this unrighteous misery to God even though they were their own people when they could no longer lead a righteous life. Habakkuk asked God, “Why does God, who is just, not judge the corrupt people like this?
Regarding this, God says that he will never look at it, and he answers that he will judge South Judah by using the evil country Babylon, which conquered the whole world at the time, as a tool of judgment. In response, the prophet Habakkuk said, "Even though Judah is evil, it is not as evil as Babylon. How can the God of justice use Babylon, which is more vicious, as an instrument of judgment?" and ask God again.
God's answer to Habakkuk's question is in Habakkuk 2:4, which is quoted from the well-known Romans 1:17, "Only the righteous will live by faith.“ Looking at this situation before and after, let's look at the words of Habakkuk 2:4 and understand its meaning correctly.
Habakkuk 2:4. "See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright -- but the righteous will live by his faith --
4. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
4. "Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith.(NIV, KJV, NASB)
God said that he would never look good on such a arrogant Babylon. And God said that Babylon would also be destroyed terribly in return for its evil deeds. Also, according to the word of God, Babylon was destroyed by the Persians as prophesied by the prophet Habakkuk.
If you look at this sentence, it is said that such a babellon will not be recognized or loved by God, but the righteous people who are loved and recognized by God will live a life by faith. Faith here is clearly faith in God. However, the God here is not the Almighty God who blesses Abraham and fulfills the promise, but the God who judges the unrighteous fellow countryman, Judah, and the God who judges Babylon, who destroyed Judah.
And it is trust in the righteous God who judges the unrighteous world where the righteous who want to live righteously can no longer live, even if it is God's chosen people. Not only that, but it is trust in God who always and everywhere protects those who live righteously. It is also the belief that God is the one who judges this unjust world and ultimately creates a just world where those who want to live righteously can live happily.
Habakkuk 2:4 and Romans 1:17 say that the righteous live by this faith. The meaning of living, as translated in the revision of the revision, will also partially imply the meaning of surviving because there is such faith. However, a more precise meaning is that they will live a life of faith day by day, just like the English record will live. At the time of Habakkuk, it became a difficult world for a truly honest and just person to maintain his or her chastity and live uprightly.
The injustice of own(one’s own people) people is rampant, the country is destroyed, the invasion and exploitation of the great power Babylon, and death and captivity are waiting in succession.
Habakkuk 3:16. I heard and my heart pounded, my lips quivered at the sound; decay crept into my bones, and my legs trembled. Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us.
16. When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
16. I heard and my inward parts trembled, At the sound my lips quivered. Decay enters my bones, And in my place I tremble. Because I must wait quietly for the day of distress, For the people to arise [who] will invade us.(NIV, KJV, NASB)
As Habakkuk put it, the world has become a world where people who really want to live righteously cannot live normally and peacefully. However, the righteous recognized by God believe in God who will always solve all problems even in the midst of these tribulations and hardships. In addition, they firmly believe in the God of love and power who always Protects them like an eyeball(faith in God). Along with this, the righteous recognized by God never compromise with injustice. They will surely live a life of faith, enduring each day unshakably, steadfastly, righteously, and chastely. (The reasonable life of those who have faith)
Habakkuk 2:4 is the word of God about those who live a righteous life with this kind of faith.
Both believers and non-believers can easily understand the original meaning of this sentence by looking at the text through several translations in English and other Korea languages(Korean versions). No room for excuses, no sense of shallow faith, no room for imperfect understanding is now available to everyone.
There is only the fact that the meaning of justifying faith in Romans 1:17 is a consistent and unchanging faith with continuity of time, and the fact that it is a faith that acts by looking only to God and believing in God in any circumstance and living a righteous life. Abraham's faith and the contents of Habakkuk prove this, and the recognition of the righteousness of such faith is always God's sovereignty. Hallelujah!
It is clear that God allows us to understand this content not to criticize or condemn anyone, but to correct anyone who is wrong in understanding this part. We must know that God wants repentance, not condemnation and punishment.
Let us now discuss the relationship between law and faith, a subject of greater and incomparably greater importance than justifying faith! Someone proclaimed that the Bible, in one word, is the law. Another saint who graduated from Korea University Law School said that God gave the law to rule the world. It's an amazing insightful word.
Not only law students majoring in law, but all human beings believe that law must exist for the maintenance of human world order and the happy life of the community. Humans have established laws and rules for the existence of communities in any age and any human organization.
Without laws and rules governing the community, each individual would be free to live according to his or her own views, and in the end it would be a world of the law of the jungle, where only disorder, chaos, destruction and death would continue. However, human beings maintain order by making laws and pursue the stability and prosperity of the community, so the ancient Hammurabi law, Roman law, the 8 laws of Gojoseon, and modern constitutions and subordinate laws of each country exist in codification.
Unlike their laws, which are human laws, the law does not come from human heads. It is the most perfect, just, and the best and only law that enables all members to live happily among all the laws that exist in the world that Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth, gave to the Israelites through Moses.
And about this, God, who gave this law to Moses, said these facts directly.
Deuteronomy 4:8. And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am setting before you today?
8. And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
8. "Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole law which I am setting before you today?
Nehemiah 9:13. "You came down on Mount Sinai; you spoke to them from heaven. You gave them regulations and laws that are just and right, and decrees and commands that are good.
13. Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:
13. "Then Thou didst come down on Mount Sinai, And didst speak with them from heaven; Thou didst give to them just ordinances and true laws, Good statutes and commandments.
Psalms 19:8. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
86. All your commands are trustworthy; help me, for men persecute me without cause.
142. Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true
151. Yet you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true.
172. May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous.
Matthew 23:23. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices -- mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law -- justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
23. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
23. "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.
Why is the law the best and only law on earth that enables humans to love each other and live happily by maintaining order? This is because the attributes of God are revealed as they are in the law. God's love, justice, and faith are reflected in the law, so anyone who has majored in the law can discover this truth if he or she studies with a little attention.
Likewise, if all the saints pay attention to the text of the law a little, they can see that the attributes of God are revealed in the law (the Pentateuch). God, who gave this law to Moses, said these facts directly.
It is only natural that God, who is loving, just, and rich in grace, wants people to love each other, maintain trust, and live righteously in the world. And it would be rather strange that the laws given for that purpose do not reflect such attributes of God and do not contain regulations for the establishment of the kingdom God wants on earth.
The foundation of the kingdom of God is the law, and it is very clear that the law becomes the basic law of the kingdom of God. God, who gave the law to Israel through Moses and commanded Israel to teach, learn, and keep it, now sent Jesus to this land when the time was fulfilled. And he put him to work for evangelism and the building of God's kingdom. And Jesus obeyed His Father's will, preached the gospel of the kingdom of heaven, and shed His blood to create (save) a new people of God and died on the cross. And he was resurrected and ascended to heaven. In addition, when he was in the world, he said that no disciple, scribe, or theologian could distort the law.
Matthew 22:35. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:
36. "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
37. Jesus replied: "`Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
38. This is the first and greatest commandment.
39. And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor as yourself.'
40. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.“
35. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36. Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38. This is the first and great commandment.
39. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 5:17. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
18. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
19. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
After Jesus, that is, after the four Gospels, all the writings of the apostles who wrote letters for the establishment of the kingdom of God in accordance with Jesus' will should be understood within the scope of the Word in light of Jesus' words about the law. And it is also very reasonable as the order of the Bible to be interpreted that way.
In order to build the kingdom of God, Jesus, the God himself, came and personally spoke the words of the law, and his disciples also wrote letters inspired by the Holy Spirit to build the kingdom of God that Jesus wanted to build.
However, if the theologians of later generations misinterpret this and cause even a little damage, ignoring, or contradicting the words of Jesus' law, it will absolutely not be the fault of the apostles who received the Holy Spirit. Rather, wouldn't it be the result of the later theologians, people who specialize in studying the Bible, or preachers not understanding the Epistles correctly?
Of course, with regard to the part of faith in justification, those who read Romans must read Habakkuk first and understand it well before proceeding to the understanding of Romans.
The reason why we must read Galatians first before reading Romans is because Galatians, which has six chapters, is called a small book of Romans and contains many of the same parts as Romans. And since Galatians was written before Romans, it is essential for a correct understanding of Romans to read and understand Galatians before reading Romans.
For more details on this, please refer to the Naver blog of 50 million Romans and the warm-up section of the study of Romans in the Daum Cafe, so please refer to the newly organized 50 million Bible summary first Habakkuk summary and second stage Galatians summary.
Here we will only briefly review the important issues. Now, with this understanding of the law, we should read Galatians first and then Romans.
Galatians 2:16 says, know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.
As this word says, it is no longer the age of the law of the past, that is, the age when Israel alone had the law and kept the law. It is a message to realize that we are living in the age of faith in which Jesus came and completed the work of salvation. So now, it is saying to put aside the past Israel way of being saved and justified through the law and believe in Jesus, the only way of salvation and the way of righteousness in the whole world.
The Lord Jesus came and completed the work of salvation for all mankind. First of all, He shed His blood to save all mankind, who were sinners, and died on the cross. After resurrection and ascension, He sits at the right hand of God and reigns with all authority in heaven and on earth. Now, what all Jews and Gentiles have to do is to believe in Jesus because they are saved and justified only by believing in Jesus. Just this word.
Now, the method by which man can be saved from sin and justified has been presented by God in common to all mankind. So, since the one we must believe in to become like that is Jesus, the Savior of the whole world, now we are told to believe in Jesus regardless of Gentiles or Jews. Because there were people in the Galatian church at the time who still refused to believe in this Jesus, who wanted to be justified and gained salvation through the law in the way of the Old Testament, and who insisted that it was possible, the Apostle Paul spoke like this through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
At that time, the Jews who caused problems in the churches of Galatia did not even believe in Jesus. They did not even practice the law, but just like the apostle Paul in the past, who did not know Jesus and did not believe, but believed in the law and wanted to fulfill the righteousness of the law, they were forcing the law on believers and hindering them from believing in Jesus. So, to prevent this, God said the above in the letter (Galatians) through the apostle Paul.
Therefore, it is not a word spoken to us (for example, Gentiles without the law, such as Koreans) who just believe in Jesus without the law and want to be justified by faith. Of course, in the end, we believe that the words apply to us as well.
Now, there is a problem of what should be the standard of behavior for believers like us who have to believe in Jesus and live in the world without the law and Gentile believers at the time. Of course, we can think the same about the standard of behavior of the Jewish believers in Jesus, namely the apostle Paul, and the believers in the book of Acts, who accounted for most of the church members in Jerusalem at the time. The question of what should be the standard of life for believers who have already believed in Jesus, received salvation, and been justified still remains now and then. Up to this point, there will be no one on earth who will claim that it is only faith.
At this time, the words of Jesus' law in the four Gospels will first become the standard for our actions (guided by the Holy Spirit). We have already seen in Matthew 5:17-20. Jesus' words about the law said that the provisions of the law must be observed well, and furthermore, the fulfillment of the provisions of love, justice, and faithfulness is more important. Therefore, we must be careful not to act contrary to the provisions of love, justice, and faithfulness in order to fulfill the provisions of the law. And he said that those who keep the law well and teach them to keep it will become great in heaven, and those who break even small provisions or teach them to break them will become very small in heaven. Who in the world can challenge the stern words of Jesus? Those who challenge like that and ignore the law and do not keep it, or who prevent others from keeping the law (the law has been abolished in all areas, or those who teach that faith is sufficient in all areas and works are not necessary) will be extremely small even if they go to heaven. will have to live forever
Still, the law is alive, it is the basis of action, and it must be so. The saints of the New Testament have only the duty to fulfill the law by receiving the Holy Spirit as promised and walking with the Lord or under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
It is absolutely not the word to live a life completely immersed in the laws of the world without the Holy Spirit (without being baptized by the Holy Spirit) and without the law (without learning or practicing the law) by misunderstanding this meaning. The word that explains whether it is faith or the act of the law is the word that is said while discussing the problem of how unbelieving Gentiles and Jews are saved and justified. We firmly believe that these words are not about the lives of saints after salvation.
In other words, to believers who have been saved by believing in Jesus or believers who have been justified (regardless of whether they are Gentile believers or Jewish believers), the law of the Bible, which is the basis for all of your correct life decisions as you live in the world, The Bible never says that you don't have to learn or keep the law of Moses. And the Bible certainly does not say that you do not have to do(action) what is necessary to love and live righteously in the world. Rather, God so earnestly wanted the Saints of the New Testament and Israel of the Old Testament to learn and keep the law of Moses. Truly, the coming of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit are for the saints to keep the law of Moses well. We will undoubtedly testify about such a God at the end of this article.
There will be no believer in the world who will refute this saying, "No, you're misunderstanding.“
We firmly believe in this. God earnestly wants all mankind to believe in Jesus, love each other, and live righteously in the world, yesterday and today.
And in the matter of the saints' observance of the law, it is not necessary to literally keep all the laws, but among the provisions of the law, it is not necessary to keep the sacrifices, offerings, regulations for priests, and regulations for the tabernacle that Jesus came and fulfilled himself. And in order to practice the more important things of the law, righteousness, mercy, and faithfulness, when a provision is made, in each situation, it must be practiced beyond the letter rather than the literal fulfillment (Jesus' words Matthew 23:23).
And all believers in the New Testament must learn the law as the basic law of the kingdom of God from childhood like the Israelites, and parents must teach their children and make them keep them. Therefore, it should be the standard for all religious life and conduct of the saints. If we receive the Holy Spirit and are guided by the Holy Spirit, and if we walk with the Lord, then it is certain that the Holy Spirit and the Lord will guide all our actions toward carrying out and fulfilling the requirements of the law.
Never will the Holy Spirit or Jesus cause believers to live in this world breaking the law. In other words, it is clear that they will not lead the saints in a direction that violates the contents of the law. How could Jesus, who spoke the words of Matthew 5:17-20, lead the saints in a direction different from the contents of the law? It is unimaginable. However, the saints living doing injustice differently from the law would be ignoring the Holy Spirit, abandoning the will of the Lord, and living by doing privately to satisfy their own greed.
The words of the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus are all one, and so is the law. There is no contradiction between God the Trinity and the words of the Bible, and the law of the Pentateuch of Moses is also the word of God, so it is clear that it is in accordance with the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
With 10 million believers, Korea, which is a condition that can undoubtedly create a just, fair, and happy world by correcting all Korean problems biblically, is the most difficult place where injustice and inequality exist that is difficult for so many people to endure and live in anymore. The fundamental reason comes from the absence of the law(Moses’s law)
It presents biblical evidence that anyone has no choice but to admit that no one can refute.
All serious problems in Korea originate from housing problems and land problems. The gap between the rich and the poor that ruins the country also stems from this. It is only natural that people can no longer live in inequality and injustice under the present Constitution, which allows people to freely own houses and lands according to the logic of capitalism, which does not acknowledge the sinful nature of human beings at all. However, few people knew this, and everyone was intoxicated with liberalism and capitalism. And few teach the importance, necessity, and justice of the law. Because of this, many believers today follow the laws of the world, going the path of sin, without knowing that this law (the law of the Pentateuch of Moses) is the only law for the heavenly people that all 10 million believers must learn and abide by before the national law. Of course, it is by no means denied that many worldly laws are sound, orderly, and of great help to people living in peace. However, this is a man-made law, and unlike God's law, it is never equal or just for everyone.
Since the Moon Jae-in administration took office, house prices and land prices have risen more and more, causing many problems. Let's say that among Korean workers, a worker earning 150,000 a day is working together. A worker who does not own a house and land of his own earns only 150,000 won a day. However, the case is completely different for those who own houses and lands in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The same goes for those who own houses and lands in the provinces. The same goes for the Moon Jae-in administration and the previous government as well, with house prices rising. Nevertheless, if you look at a recent example, if the price of an apartment in Seoul has increased by 800 million won in 5 years, it has risen by about 160 million won in a year. And if you calculate this every day, it rises by about 450,000 won a day, so the income of the person who owns the apartment increases every day. He earns 150,000 won a day, and apart from this, he earns that way every day through his house. 48% of the people do not have a house, so their income is only 150,000 won on working days, but those who own apartments or houses in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do earn 450,000 won in house price increase every day, including days they are not working, plus 150,000 won on working days. of income is generated.
The current situation in Korea is that only about 30% of the people own all of the land out of 100% of the available land, and about 70% of the people do not have a single pyeong of their own land. Therefore, 30% of the people who have land also have income due to the increase in land price, unlike the 70% of the people who do not have land as the land price rises separately from the increase in house prices. This unmistakable reality of Korea makes it difficult to guarantee all rights guaranteed by the Constitution, including the right to liberty, the right to pursue happiness, the right to equality, the right to property, the right to education, the right to vote, and the dignity of life. It is a ruinous reality that makes the constitution useless (explaining the state of having a name but having no practical benefit).
From the point of view of justice and fairness, where income increases after sleeping without any labor or effort, something very unjust and unfair has occurred, and the fall (disaster due to sin) that could cause the collapse of the country exists by our side. Who will point out and correct these unfairnesses and injustices under the capitalist system? Anyone who owns a house or owns land will never want anyone to point it out. It is clear that 52% of the people who have houses and land will dance every day counting them. They will be engrossed in what to do with the rising house and land prices and how to spend the money. However, for 48% of the people without a home and 70% of the people without a single pyeong of land, sighs, lamentation, and resignation and abandonment of life will become their daily lives. Among them, more than 40 people take their own lives every day because it is too difficult to live and they do not want to see people around them. That country is Korea, where we live.
The work of correcting this is what all believers must do with a proper understanding of the Bible. This is the mission of all believers in Jesus.
And even in the midst of such an unrighteous world, we do not let go of hope, and it comes from the soundness of the law(the law of the Pentateuch of Moses). We lived at the bottom of the world and experienced many injustices, sometimes disappointed and sometimes enraged. We couldn't appeal anywhere and became like a hopeless existence without a place to lean on as We was defeated by the power and the strong. However, by God's grace, we paid attention to the law of the Pentateuch and saw great light and hope. We saw that there is true justice and equality in the law of the Pentateuch of Moses, and that if this law is followed in the world, all human beings will be at peace and happy. And finally, We was relieved, and we had a hope to make this land a heaven. Indeed, we saw that 40 years of painful life was worthwhile and blessed because of the Lord, and that it was a life that must be endured. We can't help but give thanks and praise to God.
Hallelujah!
We have no doubts that the law of Moses is the only, just, and fair law that will fix such a ruinous problem in Korea. It is also clear that this law will be the sword of the word that removes the factors that hinder the establishment of the kingdom of God around the world. It is the law of all people in this world, given to humans by God, who is almighty and just, who created the heavens and the earth, and especially the law of the all people who believe in Jesus around world. And later, when Jesus comes to judge the whole world, the strict law that becomes the standard for judgment is the law of the Pentateuch. And it is a strict law that no human being can invade even one jot or one stroke, and even if the sky, the earth, and all things disappear, they will exist as they are. Because there is such a great law, we always praise the law with hope. Now let's look at how this law speaks of the house and land issues. Now let's look at the scriptures related to this law.
First of all, the Bible clearly states that the earth is God's creation and that its owner is God.
It is clearly stated in Genesis 1:1.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
And in Leviticus 25:23, it is revealed that land is God's property and that buying and selling is restricted.
Leviticus 25:23 No land may be permanently bought or sold. It all belongs to me--it isn't your land, and you only live there for a little while.
Truly, the sky and the earth are said to exist because God created them out of nothing. And real estate, that is, land, is not owned by individuals, but is owned by God, and it is revealed that buying and selling is restricted. The Bible makes it clear that all human beings living on this earth are strangers who live on this earth for a while. Not only that, but God has clearly set the boundaries of each country. We will look at the example of Israel and then of other nations.
Psalms 74:17. It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.
104:9. You set a boundary they cannot cross; never again will they cover the earth.
Numbers 34:3. "`Your southern side will include some of the Desert of Zin along the border of Edom. On the east, your southern boundary will start from the end of the Salt Sea,
4. cross south of Scorpion Pass, continue on to Zin and go south of Kadesh Barnea. Then it will go to Hazar Addar and over to Azmon,
5. where it will turn, join the Wadi of Egypt and end at the Sea.
6. "`Your western boundary will be the coast of the Great Sea. This will be your boundary on the west.
7. "`For your northern boundary, run a line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor
8. and from Mount Hor to Lebo Hamath. Then the boundary will go to Zedad,
9. continue to Ziphron and end at Hazar Enan. This will be your boundary on the north.
10. "`For your eastern boundary, run a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham.
11. The boundary will go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Kinnereth.
Acts 17:26 From one person God made all nations who live on earth, and he decided when and where every nation would be.
27 God has done all this, so that we will look for him and reach out and find him. He isn't far from any of us,
Deuteronomy 32:8 that God Most High gave land to every nation. He assigned a guardian angel to each of them,
In this way, when God said that the boundaries of peoples and countries were set, he was saying that no matter how strong a country is, it should not cross the borders of other countries in order to recklessly expand its borders or to invade and plunder weak neighboring countries. From an early age, we are taught that a hero is a person who strengthens a country by winning a war with another country. We grew up thinking of Genghis Khan, Qin Shi Huang, King Gwanggaeto the Great, General Kim Yu-shin, Alexander, and Caesar as heroes. However, when we look through the Bible, we see that these people are never going to be heroes. In the Bible, we saw that God will surely punish a country that recklessly violates a foreign country, kills people, and takes captive. Inevitably, such countries are ruined or weakened, and we see that this fact is historically accurate. If China becomes strong in this era and harasses neighboring countries economically or militarily, We believe that China will surely be disciplined by God. This gospel must be preached to China.
And God says that it is a sin to move the boundary that has been set.
Deuteronomy 19:14. Do not move your neighbor's boundary stone set up by your predecessors in the inheritance you receive in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess.
27:17. "Cursed is the man who moves his neighbor's boundary stone." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
Of course, individuals living in Israel, including Israel, must keep the national borders and individual borders as God has set them. We think there is an important reason why God did this. And the priest and now the pastor were not allowed to own the land.
18:1. The priests, who are Levites -- indeed the whole tribe of Levi -- are to have no allotment or inheritance with Israel. They shall live on the offerings made to the LORD by fire, for that is their inheritance.
The Korean translation is ambiguous because it is called a portion, but the English language clearly says land. The pastor who owns the land will have to think about what he thinks of this word and whether he owns the land again.
And Israel is made up of 12 tribes. When all 12 tribes are gathered, all the members of the nation of Israel are gathered. At that time, Joshua occupied the land of Canaan and divided the land according to God's command. They also had to live while keeping these boundaries. There are national boundaries in Israel, and the boundaries of all living tribes have also been set. It says that even if the power becomes strong, it is not allowed to invade other countries and expand the territory, and the people cannot control their own territory at will and must live (live or die) in a designated area. During the time of King David, Israel had the most powerful military and economic power in the world, but the king and the people kept the borders that God had set. And the sold land could be reclaimed at any time, and at the 50th year, the jubilee, the land had to be returned to the original owner. Now let's look at God's word about people who want to own land and houses, ignoring their neighbors, like our country. It is in the book of Isaiah, and it is the word of God, the owner of the whole world, that must be applied to us as well. This is because the words of the Bible cannot be ignored no matter how much people try to ignore them, and they are words that are undoubtedly applicable to all mankind. It is a word about discipline for those who violate God's will.
Isaiah 5:8. Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field till no space is left and you live alone in the land.
9. The LORD Almighty has declared in my hearing: "Surely the great houses will become desolate, the fine mansions left without occupants.
10. A ten-acre vineyard will produce only a bath of wine, a homer of seed only an ephah of grain.“
The word of this warning came true. Unrighteous Israel (South Judah perished) was destroyed, and the high-ranking officials, priests, and royal families at the time (the king at the time, Zedekiah) died or were taken captive, and the houses and lands they owned became owned by the poor.
Jeremiah 39:6. There at Riblah the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes and also killed all the nobles of Judah.
7. Then he put out Zedekiah's eyes and bound him with bronze shackles to take him to Babylon.
8. The Babylonians set fire to the royal palace and the houses of the people and broke down the walls of Jerusalem.
9. Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard carried into exile to Babylon the people who remained in the city, along with those who had gone over to him, and the rest of the people.
10. But Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard left behind in the land of Judah some of the poor people, who owned nothing; and at that time he gave them vineyards and fields.
Indeed, something similar has happened to us. Japan occupied Joseon and conducted a land investigation project. Queen Minbi was murdered, the king was deposed, and the princes were taken to Japan. It was very difficult for the illiterate people to own their own land due to the previous idea of the kingdom of the land, but with this project, new things were created about individual land ownership. The Lee Dynasty, which had ruled the Korean Peninsula for 600 years, was disbanded and Japan took control of the Korean Peninsula, and the land in Korea was owned by individuals through a land investigation project. And in the Joseon Dynasty, the status system of royalty and nobles, middle class and lowly people, and common people and slaves was too strict, and slaves in the Joseon Dynasty lived with their human rights violated as much as the black slaves we know. The teaching that all people are sinners and equal before God of the Catholic Church, which challenged this evil custom of hundreds and thousands of years, and the idea of yangban and servants as brothers, were like daggers and poison to the king, the royal family, and the yangban. So they beheaded more than 10,000 Catholic believers for 100 years, torturing and killing them in so many different and cruel ways. And Joseon, where there were kings, royal families, and noblemen who perpetrated this, was destroyed by the Japanese invasion.
Even if everyone in the world is wrapped up in the real estate frenzy, 10 million believers should never snoop, look, or follow it. Instead, we will have to keep the regulations of the law (the law of Moses) and get away from the road that leads to the destruction of the world. First, we must admit that the land of Korea belongs to God. And we must keep the Word of God and the Word of the Law. In other words, we must never own a house or land that harms our neighbors. Even a child in Korea can know that 50 million people live in a small country, and if someone owns a lot of land and several houses, there will be neighbors who do not have land or houses. It is difficult for people without a house and land to live happily on this land under any circumstances. Marriage is also difficult. And they can never live a peaceful life. That is why they can never enjoy all the rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Therefore, the saints must know this situation well, fear God, and obey God's law. To truly love God and love our neighbors, we must learn and keep the Law of the Pentateuch.
Through this, Korea's problems are solved and Korea can survive. When the law is lax and unrighteousness is rampant, there will always be sighs of those who live righteously and abnormal behavior(Suicide, heinous murder, etc.) of those who have no more hope in this unrighteous world, and it is the truth that God destroys such a country, nation or group. This is the law that God, the ruler of history, governs this world. If we do not fix these problems and ignore them, the country will surely be destroyed by nuclear weapons from the North Korea, earthquakes from the east and south, or from the powerful China, Russia, and Japan. It is clear that the greatest damage will be those who enjoy unrighteous gains in the world, as we have seen above.
It is so important to learn and keep the law. Jesus came and told us to observe the condolences of the law, and to abide by the more important content related to justice, mercy (love or compassion), and faith. He said that those who neglect the law will never be able to become great in heaven no matter what kind of life they have lived on earth (a great church pastor, a great rich man, or a great elder, a great believer, etc.) It is the word of Jesus, and it will be so.
The way to establish the Korean church, protect the country, and obtain happiness and peace for the people depends on all believers learning and keeping the law (Moses law)well. And all countries, groups, and peoples in the world must live like that in order to be blessed and live well. We hope that Korean believers will precede all believers in this matter, and that Korean churches will take the lead to become the most righteous nation in the world and a nation overflowing with love. So, we hope to become a nation that is recognized by the Lord and protected by the Lord by creating a world worth trusting and living in. If you want more details about this, please refer to the summary of Habakkuk and Galatians in the warm-up part of studying Romans in Fifty Million Romans.
Summarize the discussion so far.
The problem of faith is understood by looking at the examples of Abraham and Habakkuk. Abraham was recognized as righteous because of his faith that does not change in time, and in the book of Habakkuk, we saw that God describes those who believe(belief that God used Babylon to destroy his unrighteous fellow countrymen Israel, faith that Babylon is also judged, faith that God protects those who live righteously) in God and live righteous lives as righteous people even in the midst of suffering. A faith that has both of these (the faith that acts justly and the faith that does not change over time) is the faith that is recognized as righteous. Old Testament Example
Coming to the New Testament, we must first believe in Jesus. Then repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and our sins will be forgiven. If we do that, we will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, and now the Holy Spirit gives us the fullness of the Holy Spirit and guides our steps. The Holy Spirit does this by softening our hearts. The expression of accompanying the Lord is also correct. This is how we live a life of faith.
However, if we apply the faith of the Old Testament era as it is modern here, the saints of the New Testament will have to live a life of faith that does not change over time, just like Abraham. Also, even if hardships like the book of Habakkuk come, we must not change and believe in God (God is the righteous one who eradicates injustice) and live righteously. It is certain that the Holy Spirit will lead us in this way as well. And like this, in our daily life of faith, we should not ignore the law and stay away from the law, but should always move in the direction of practicing love for the fulfillment of the law.
It is clear that the Holy Spirit will lead this way as well. If we are filled with the Holy Spirit and guided by the Holy Spirit, it is certain that we will always walk with the Lord and live in the direction of fulfilling the law. It is always necessary to examine the law and Scripture before we act to see if our choices or actions are right. This must be looked at while looking at the regulations of the law. Even in receiving the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we must also examine whether the inspiration that came to us is correct in terms of the law (the Pentateuch of Moses). That is why we must learn and teach the law well. And God will sovereignly recognize the saints who live like this as righteous at the right time.
This is the justification of the New Testament Romans.
We define justification from faith as “when a person believes in Jesus and receives forgiveness of sins and salvation, or after receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit or being sealed by the Holy Spirit, or after becoming a new creature, when it is appropriate, God looking at the person's faith(unchanging faith life and believing in God and acting righteously) and recognizing him as righteous".
This understanding, when am I justified? It could be said, but like Paul, meeting Jesus, repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, forgiveness of sins, gift of the Holy Spirit, sealing of the Holy Spirit, and becoming a new creation occur almost simultaneously, so there is no problem in terms of time.
In addition, looking at the example of Habakkuk, the world becomes more and more unjust, love cools off, and faith becomes difficult to find. In this situation, we look forward to the coming of the Lord and pray that He will come soon. When the Lord comes, all unrighteousness will be removed and judgment will proceed. And those who live righteously will receive rewards and consolation. We must live righteously in these last days with the same faith that Habakkuk had in the last days.
We must not get drunk on capitalism or get drunk on the sudden changes of the world, but only hold on to the Word, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and preach the gospel according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and live a good life. And God will always comfort and encourage all the saints who want to live like this in a place like this. It is clear that the standard of living righteously will always be the law of the Old Testament. All saints who live righteously! Let's be strong!!!
It is clear that the kingdom of the Lord will become stronger when the saints who live like this become one with each other. And the country will be expanding.
As for the matter of the law(Moses’s law), it is the believer's duty to live a life of faith in such a way that all believers learn and keep the law. No matter what theological argument may be, the saints should never be shaken and should not distance themselves from the law or neglect it. The only way to save the country, establish the church, and live righteously, peacefully and happily on this land is to learn and keep the law(Moses’s law).
Jesus came and made it possible for sinners to believe in Jesus, receive salvation, receive the Holy Spirit, become new creatures, and live by practicing love while receiving the guidance of the Holy Spirit. And along with the practice of love, He made us keep the law, one jot and one tittle. The specific practice of love is in the law, and the specific practice of justice is also well regulated in the law. And if the saints live like this in the world, it is certain that the kingdom of God will be established wherever these saints live. And through this, the law will be completed according to the word of Jesus.
A country where there is justice and fairness, order is maintained, and all members trust each other and live happily is the kingdom of God. For this, we are called, saved, and ministered.
Now, finally, together with the above information, everyone should think together what the contents of the fulfillment of the law that Jesus came and fulfilled for us are.
We are praying to God and meeting God right away without the blood sacrifices of animals and plants. We can always pray directly to God. When we pray and worship God, we should always begin by praising and giving thanks to the Lord, His precious blood, and the grace of redemption. In order to do this, we must deeply understand the laws and procedures that the Israelites practiced in the past to see God. The sacrificial system of the Old Testament can be seen through Leviticus, and there are many, and the representative one is that he brought an animal without blemish that he had raised to the temple, killed it, and shed blood. and dedicated to God. Only then was that man able to approach God. Jesus performed this role on behalf of our sins. Without understanding this, how can we give thanks and praise to Jesus? If believers say that the law has been abolished and Jesus has fulfilled it, but now they have no interest in, study of, or keeping the law, how can people say they believe in Jesus?
The purpose of Jesus' coming was to fulfill the law, and we must first deeply understand the fulfillment of the law for the part that Jesus shed his blood and became a sacrifice. And, thinking of the grace that reduced the need to keep all the laws through such a great sacrifice, we must devote ourselves with more strength. All God's people have the duty to practice love, receive the filling of the Holy Spirit, preach the gospel, and live a good life in order to create a world where all the remaining laws are kept.
All God's people have the duty to practice love, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to preach the gospel, and to live a good life.
But aren't the church leaders teaching all God's people that it is not the law, not works, but only faith? Aren't they teaching that the law has been abolished so that they do not even have the heart to keep the law while living in this world? Also, aren't they not teaching the specific conditions of the law, which are practical expressions of love in their lives, so that they can't even practice love? If the reality is like this, how can the saints live according to the law (the law of the Pentateuch that makes this world heaven) in the world?
Also, aren't they shouting only faith while preventing them from receiving the Holy Spirit by distorting the Holy Spirit? And while trying to solve all religious problems with one faith, aren't they making all the saints learn and follow only the laws of the world? By doing so, isn't it preventing us from keeping or fulfilling all the laws (Moses’ law)in the end? Because of this, isn't this land full of Christians who live in the world according to their own opinions without law or love? What would the world be like if the church truly taught this? When the time comes, it will surely be revealed whose fault this real situation is.
To love God means to love the Word, which means to love, learn, and keep the law. Jesus Himself fulfilled the obligation of the saints to abide by all these laws and fulfilled certain parts of the law. So, our saints no longer need to keep it. (The Old Testament sacrificial system) Now, believers whose burdens are so light must believe in the redemption of Jesus, receive the forgiveness of sins, receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, preach the gospel with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, and fulfill all the remaining laws by doing good.
The rule of Israel in the Old Testament was a rule of law. In the New Testament, what is the basis for the reign of the kingdom of God that Jesus wants to establish? You just have to love it! You just need to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit! That is undoubtedly exactly right. Again, some will say that it is enough to accompany the Lord. This too is undoubtedly true. If the saints live like this, all the laws are automatically completed, so living like this is the sure answer.
How should we act to love now? Or is the guidance of the Holy Spirit correct? Or, to see if the Lord's accompaniment is sure, we must first look at the Word that is the lamp to our feet and the light on our path, that is, the regulations of the law. And step by step we will have to go on the right path.
Suppose someone in your family is diagnosed with cancer and needs surgery. There will be a difference between heaven and earth (too big difference) between being operated on by a doctor who has learned well in medical school and has experience in cancer surgery as a doctor, and being operated on by an ordinary person who has no knowledge. But now you and your family have cancer. Now, surgery is the only way to survive. If so, would you entrust yourself and your family to a surgeon who is knowledgeable and experienced in surgical procedures? Or, since all you need is surgery, will you entrust the surgery to an ordinary person who has no experience or knowledge of surgery? 100% everyone will entrust themselves and their families to a doctor with surgical experience and knowledge. But what about our pastors, who send our saints out into the world, commanding them to love God and their neighbors? Does our church teach a law that explains so clearly, in detail, and precisely how to love what they will love? Even we will have to think deeply about whether we are teaching and preaching to them, saying, 'You just have to believe, the law has been abolished' so that they cannot even keep the law. We must think carefully about whether it is the duty of pastors with upright minds to teach their members how to treat the people of the world who are the objects of their love all over the world as they please.
It would be like doing the same thing as sending a medical student to deal with life to the world to have surgery, saying that all you need to do is to go and do a good surgery without teaching them about surgery (detailed procedures, methods, education and practice). The life of the human body only lasts 100 years, but the problem of the soul is related to the problem of eternal life. Therefore, all pastors and teachers must teach the saints to truly love according to the law (Moses Law), to believe according to the law, and to act according to the law. This law is the law of Moses, and it is the law that Jesus said all believers must abide by.
We earnestly hope that those who teach all the saints will understand this principle and teach the saints in detail how to love and how to do justice in the world. When the saints ask us what to do in this situation, it is not enough if we tell them to ‘pray and do it’. You shouldn't send the saints out into the world just like that. We firmly believe that we must first learn the law of Moses well and teach them well. We must guide all the saints to walk in the direction of building the kingdom of God day by day and moment by moment in the world.
Truly, each pastor, whether it is a large church or a small church, is incomparably more important and precious than the director of a large hospital or a professor at a medical school. And each believer is also more important and precious than a healer of bodily diseases who became a doctor and specialist because he studied well. This is because all of them receive a new life through Jesus, the Creator, and have Jesus in their hearts and are the light and salt of this world. And it is because they are the gospel workers who will save secular human beings who are only sinners in the eyes of God, no matter how good they look in the world. How can we compare those who preach Jesus to the dead and give them new life and present eternal life with doctors who heal the problems of 100 years of life? Those who obtain and enjoy eternal life! Don't be fooled by the world and don't be seduced by it. You are the people of heaven, envied by all things in heaven and on earth.
The fulfillment of the law is accomplished when the saints love God and love their neighbors. If the saints of the New Testament receive the Holy Spirit and receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, love will be perfected and the law will be perfected. The Holy Spirit makes us preach the gospel, which is the greatest expression of love. And he leads the saints to live good. And we have the law of the Pentateuch of Moses that accurately discerns the concrete practice of love and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. That is why the saints of the New Testament must learn and keep the law well. However, God enabled the saints to keep the law well. He sent Jesus so that if all mankind would believe in Jesus, their sins would be forgiven. And he gave the gift of the Holy Spirit, so that the Holy Spirit comes to those who have forgiveness of sins. And the Holy Spirit softens the hearts of those who have received the Spirit to keep the law. In this way, the fulfillment of the law is accomplished in the New Testament.
The basis of the kingdom of God is the law (the law of Moses), and the kingdom of God is the rule of law. This is a country where all believers must learn the law well and must receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all their actions. And it is a country where the saints must see and act in the light of the law to see if the guidance is perfect. We earnestly hope that the law (the law of Moses) will be well known all over the world and that everyone will keep the law so that the kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, that is, the kingdom of God, will come.
Testimony to add
Around 1986, God came to me through the Bible given by Elder Seongsu Kim. I was immersed in Buddhism and I was immersed in Buddhist monks(Bubjung) and Seungcheol, but God suddenly came to me and made me read the Bible. I was hesitant about what to do because God gave me fear, but I saw the Bible given by the evangelist. As I opened this book, the words of love in 1 Corinthians 13 entered through my eyes, becoming a mirror that reflects my heart. My true self, who firmly believed that I was righteous, moral, and good, was revealed through the Bible as if looking in a mirror. As soon as my true self, a perfect sinner with no good sides and a vicious human being, was revealed, I fell to my knees in tears. And I prayed to be made an instrument of God. And I could never live the way I was in the past. It's because I saw my wrong side too strongly. And I struggled to live according to the words of 1 Corinthians 13. It was so difficult to live like that after living on my own until now. After doing so for five years, on May 19, 1991, I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by Pastor Kyung Seok Kyung at Jangyu Banseok Church.
And one early winter day in 1992, while Pastor Ki-soo Park was preaching at Seonmin Church in Sillim-dong, Seoul, Jesus came as a vision. He came filling his temple, and he breathed red fire from his mouth into my heart. I saw several small candle-like flames in my chest. They were black and white images of Jesus, but the color of the fire was definitely red. My hands were sweaty and the belief that if I touched a sick believer, he would be healed came along with it. I forgot about studying for the administrative exam and spent three days as if I was in heaven, and returned to my daily life. And the various miracles recorded in Bibles happened without a break. When I prayed for people with various diseases, God healed them. Interpretation of dialects, constant evangelism, understanding of the Bible became easier, and the work of reading and arranging(summary) the Bible began. And my stone-like heart also melted when I received the Holy Spirit.
In 1983, 40 years after leaving the bank and about 30 years after receiving the Holy Spirit, I lived a very difficult life economically in the world. My ex-wife silently left the house, and I lived a life of insomnia and depression for four years. And I remarried, gave birth to a son, and recovered, but I still had financial problems and life at the bottom of the world. A person who graduated from two graduate schools received the Holy Spirit, lived righteously, and preached the gospel, but the world seemed truly unjust and hopeless. At this time, I was very glad to see the law of the Bible and finally felt relieved. Because I met the only, highest and best law to fix this unrighteous world, I had great hopes for building the kingdom of God. Through Bible arrangement(summary) and evangelism, the Holy Spirit greatly helped me understand the Bible, and God gave me so much joy in realizing the truth of the Bible without ceasing. And without rest, he was always with me, comforting me and encouraging me. Sometimes I committed serious sins and received great discipline from God. But the merciful God always forgave and embraced me. And since 2015, I have been working in the US military unit under the consideration of former Colonel Kim Hyeon-cheol, and I have studied English and understood the Bible in English as well. Based on this, about 10 books were organized into evangelism, church growth, the entire Bible Summary, understanding of Romans, writings of enlightenment, and the growth and future of the Korean church. I translated it into English and sent it to the seminary professors at Harvard, Yale, Oxford, and Princeton (title Report from Seoul Korea). Since 2018, I have posted this content little by little on my Naver blog and Daum Cafe under the title of 50 million Romans. Then, about 300,000 people from 100 countries saw it. I summarize the great grace that God has bestowed on heinous sinners and spread it to the whole world as above.
What happened to the vicious hopeless sinner like me coincided so well with what was recorded in the book of Acts. It was only after I witnessed and wrote my thesis at the theological seminary (around 2010) that I came to know about it. After receiving the Holy Spirit (1992), I came to know about it more than ten years later. I preach the verse that everyone should experience.
Acts 2:37. When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
38. Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off -- for all whom the Lord our God will call."
40. With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.“
1:8. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.“
The things recorded in the Bible are still happening today. And while I was discovering and preaching such a great hope for the law, God also made me know through the words of Ezekiel that all of my assertions above were in perfect agreement with God's will. Everything is happening in order as time goes by. Without a doubt, the kingdom of God will be established on this earth and the law will be fulfilled. And the completion has been happening without rest since the early church until now. The question is whether we are participating in the work of his country(Kingdom). Let's look at the contents of Ezekiel.
Ezekiel 11:19. I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.
20. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
34:23. I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.
24. I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them. I the LORD have spoken
36:24. "`For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.
25. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.
26. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
27. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
28. You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God
God, who is the same yesterday and today, wants Israel of the Old Testament and the saints of the New Testament to keep the law well. Israel was destroyed because they did not keep it well, and now Jesus has come and opened the way for all sinners to be forgiven of their sins through the cross, the shedding of blood, and death. This comes from the love of God who loves you, me and all mankind. Truly God loves you. When you believe in Jesus and your sins are forgiven, the Holy Spirit comes as a gift to anyone. The saints who have become like this will have a soft heart. So now the saints can keep the law well with the power of the Holy Spirit. In this way, the kingdom of God, where the law is kept and completed, is established. This is also the way for God's will to be fulfilled on this earth. Again, we emphasize, God loves you. He loves you enough to give his only begotten Son for you. If you believe in this love and believe in Jesus, eternal life is guaranteed. Let's all be brave!
John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Rome 5:6. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
7. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.
8. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
We pray that God's great comfort and peace will come to all of you.
May the great name of God be glorified forever and ever. Hallelujah!!
