이사야10장 말씀입니다.

1. 불의한 법령을 포고하고 자기들이 제정한 무거운 법을 기록하며

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness [which] they have prescribed; 

2. 궁핍한 자를 따돌려 공정한 재판을 받지 못하게 하고 내 백성의 가난한 자들로부터 권리를 빼앗아 과부들을

     탈취물로 삼으며 아버지 없는 자들을 강탈하는 자들에게 화가 있을지어다!

To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and [that] they may rob the fatherless!

3. 징벌하는 날에 멀리서 올 황폐함 속에서 너희가 무엇을 하려느냐? 너희가 누구에게로 피하여 도움을 구하겠느냐?

    너희가 너희의 영화를 어느 곳에 남겨 두겠느냐?

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation [which] shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

4. 나 없이는 그들이 갇힌 자들 밑에서 몸을 구부리며 죽임 당한 자들 밑에서 쓰러지리로다. 이 모든 것에도 불구하고

    그분의 분노는 돌아서지 아니하며 그분의 손은 여전히 펼쳐져 있느니라.

Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.

5. 오 내 분노의 막대기 아시리아 사람이여, 그들의 손에 있는 지팡이는 내 격노니라.

O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. 

6. 내가 그를 보내어 위선을 보이는 민족을 치게 하며 또 그에게 명하여 나의 진노의 백성을 쳐서 노략하고 탈취하게

    하며 거리의 진흙같이 그들을 짓밟게 하리라.

I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. 

7. 그러나 그의 뜻은 이 같지 아니하며 그의 마음의 생각도 이 같지 아니하여 그가 마음속으로 적지 않은 수의 민족들을

    파괴하고 멸절시키려 하는도다.

Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but [it is] in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

8. 그가 이르기를, 내 통치자들은 다 왕이 아니냐?

For he saith, [Are] not my princes altogether kings?

9. 갈노는 갈그미스와 같지 아니하냐? 하맛은 아르밧과 같지 아니하냐? 사마리아는 다마스커스와 같지 아니하냐?

[Is] not Calno as Carchemish? [is] not Hamath as Arpad? [is] not Samaria as Damascus?

10. 내 손이 우상들을 섬기는 왕국들을 이미 찾아내었나니 그 왕국들의 새긴 형상들이 예루살렘과 사마리아의

     형상들보다 뛰어났느니라.

As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

11. 내가 사마리아와 그녀의 우상들에게 행한 것 같이 예루살렘과 그녀의 우상들에게 행하지 아니하겠느냐? 하는도다.

Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

12. 그러므로 [주]가 자신의 모든 일을 시온 산과 예루살렘에 행한 뒤에 내가 아시리아 왕의 완악한 마음의 열매와

      그의 높은 눈의 자랑을 벌하리라.

Wherefore it shall come to pass, [that] when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. 

13. 그가 이르기를, 내가 내 손의 힘과 내 지혜로 그 일을 행하였나니 나는 분별 있는 자라. 내가 백성의 경계를 옮기며

      그들의 보화를 강탈하고 또 용감한 자같이 거주민들을 낮추었노라.

For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done [it], and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant [man]: 

14. 내 손이 새 집을 얻듯 백성의 재물을 얻었으며 사람이 버려진 알들을 줍듯 내가 온 땅을 거두어들였으나 날개를

      치거나 입을 벌리거나 지저귀는 자가 하나도 없었다, 하는도다.

And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs [that are] left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.

15. 도끼가 도끼를 가지고 찍는 자를 향하여 자기를 자랑하겠느냐? 톱이 톱을 켜는 자를 향하여 자기를 높이겠느냐?

      이것은 마치 막대기가 막대기를 드는 자들을 향하여 자기를 움직이려 하며 지팡이가 마치 나무가 아닌 것처럼

      자기를 들어 올리려 함과 같도다.

Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? [or] shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake [itself] against them that lift it up, [or] as if the staff should lift up [itself, as if it were] no wood. 

16. 그러므로 [주] 곧 만군의 [주]가 그의 살진 자들 가운데 야위게 하는 것을 보내며 불이 붙는 것 같이 그의 영광

      밑에서 불이 붙게 하리라.

Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

17. 이스라엘의 빛은 불이 되며 그의 [거룩하신 이]는 불꽃이 되리라. 그것이 하루 사이에 그의 가시와 찔레를 태우고

      삼키며

And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

18. 그의 숲의 영광과 열매를 많이 내는 그의 들의 영광을 소멸시키되 혼과 몸 둘 다를 소멸시키리니 그들은 마치

      깃발을 드는 자가 힘을 잃는 때와 같이 되리라.

And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth. 

19. 그의 숲에 남아 있는 나무의 수가 적으므로 아이라도 능히 그것들을 기록하리라.

And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them. 

20. 그 날에 이스라엘의 남은 자들과 야곱의 집에서 도피한 자들이 다시는 자기들을 친 자를 의지하지 아니하고 {주} 곧

      이스라엘의 [거룩하신 이]를 진리 안에서 의지하리니

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

21. 남은 자들 곧 야곱의 남은 자들이 강하신 [하나님]에게로 돌아오리라.

The remnant shall return, [even] the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

22. 비록 네 백성 이스라엘이 바다의 모래 같을지라도 그들 가운데 남은 자만 돌아오리라. 정해진 멸망이 의와 더불어

      넘쳐흐르리니

For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, [yet] a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. 

23. 이는 [주] 만군의 {하나님}이 이미 작정한 멸망을 온 땅의 한가운데서 이룰 것이기 때문이라.

For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

24. 그러므로 [주] 만군의 {하나님}이 이같이 말하노라. 오 시온에 거하는 내 백성아, 그 아시리아 사람이 이집트가

       행한 방식대로 막대기로 너를 때리며 지팡이를 들어 너를 칠지라도 그를 두려워하지 말라.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. 

25. 잠시 후면 분노가 그치고 그들의 멸망 속에서 내 분노가 그치리라.

For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

26. 만군의 {주}가 오렙 반석에서 미디안을 살육한 것처럼 채찍을 휘둘러 그를 치리라. 그의 막대기가 바다 위에 놓였던

      것 같이 그가 이집트가 행한 방식대로 그 막대기를 들리라.

And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and [as] his rod [was] upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.

27. 그 날에 그의 짐이 네 어깨에서 떠나고 그의 멍에가 네 목에서 떠나며 그 멍에는 기름 부음으로 인하여 부서지리라.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. 

28. 그가 아얏에 이른 뒤 미그론을 지나서 믹마스에 자기 짐을 쌓아 두었고

He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:

29. 그들이 통로를 넘어 게바에서 머물 곳을 정하매 라마는 두려워하고 사울의 기브아는 도망하였도다.

They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

30. 오 갈림의 딸아, 네 목소리를 높일지어다. 오 가련한 아나돗아, 그것이 라이스에까지 들리게 할지어다.

Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth. 

31. 맛메나는 이동하였으며 게빔의 거주민들은 스스로 모여서 도망하는도다.

Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.

32. 그 날에 그가 여전히 놉에 머무르며 시온의 딸의 산 곧 예루살렘의 작은 산을 향하여 자기 손을 흔들리로다.

As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand [against] the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

33. 보라, [주] 곧 만군의 {주}가 두려움으로 그 가지를 꺾으리니 키 큰 자들이 찍혀 쓰러지고 오만한 자들이 겸손해질

      것이요,

Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature [shall be] hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.

34. 그가 쇠로 그 빽빽한 숲을 베어 내리니 레바논이 강한 자로 말미암아 쓰러지리라.

And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
