해외 사용자 리뷰 - EIGER

최근에 새로운 해외 탁구 포럼을 알게 되어 오늘 가입했습니다.

그런데 그곳에는 많은 분들이 넥시 제품 리뷰를 남기고 계시더군요.
한국에 있는 리뷰를 그곳에 알리는 역할도 할 수 있겠지만, 역으로 해외의 리뷰를 한국에 알리는 것도 할 수 있을 것 같아서, 오늘은 해당 리뷰글을 이곳에 올려 봅니다.

넥시 아이거 리뷰

이 블레이드에 대해 서구권에 정보가 거의 없어 리뷰를 작성하려 합니다.

블레이드는 시옴(Xiom)에 버금가는 뛰어난 마감 품질을 가지고 있으며, 손잡이는 잡기 편안합니다. 두께는 약 6.6mm입니다. 구조는 7겹으로, 특징적으로 두꺼운 히노끼(Hinoki) 외피와 그 아래 흰색 ALC(아릴레이트 카본)가 있습니다.

이 블레이드는 넥시가 각 층을 접착하는 방식에 새로운 기술을 적용했다는 점에서 매우 특별합니다. 기존의 일반 글루를 사용하지 않고 폴리우레탄 글루를 사용하여 목재의 특성을 개선했다고 합니다.

포장을 열자마자 예전 스피드 글루를 연상시키는 약간의 냄새가 느껴졌습니다. 아마도 이 새로운 접착제 때문인 듯합니다. 러버를 부착하고 며칠이 지나자 냄새는 거의 사라졌습니다.

저는 이 블레이드를 전면에 허리케인 3 네오 블루 프로빈셜, 백핸드에 로제나를 붙여 테스트했습니다. 평소 제 메인 세팅은 장지커 ALC + 허리케인 3 네오 블루 프로빈셜 + 디그닉스 09C입니다.

넥시 아이거는 장지커 ALC보다 빠르고, 궤적이 더 직선적입니다. 첫 시도는 수비수와의 경기였는데, 하회전 공에서도 3구 공격이 매우 강력하게 들어갔습니다.

과거 저는 시옴 제트로 쿼드(Xiom Zetro Quad)를 사용한 적이 있습니다. 넥시 아이거는 속도 면에서 비슷하지만, 덜 단단하고 컨트롤이 더 좋습니다. 높은 스피드에도 불구하고 블로킹과 같은 수동적인 기술에서 나쁘지 않은데, 이는 두꺼운 히노끼층이 느린 볼에서 부드러운 터치를 제공하기 때문이라고 생각합니다. 블로킹은 전혀 어렵지 않았고, 오히려 장지커 ALC보다 컨트롤이 더 좋은 것 같습니다.

루프 드라이브에서는 궤적이 매우 직선적이라 공이 테이블 밖으로 나가는 경우가 있었습니다. 회전력은 장지커 ALC보다 약간 떨어지지만 여전히 매우 높습니다. 서브에서는 히노끼층 덕분에 짧게 떨어뜨리기가 좋았습니다.

이 블레이드는 2단 기어 느낌이 있습니다. 부드럽게 치면 히노끼층이 컨트롤을 돕고, 강하게 치면 ALC층이 작동해 매우 빠른 스피드를 제공합니다.

결론적으로, 히노끼의 감각을 좋아하고, 매우 빠르면서도 좋은 컨트롤을 가진 블레이드를 찾는다면 이 제품이 제격입니다.

Nexy Eiger review.
I want to write a review of this blade because there is little information in the west about this blade.
The blade is of excellent workmanship similar to xiom. the handle is comfortable to hold.
The thickness of the blade is about 6.6mm.

The composition is 7 layers with a special feature a thick hinoki outer layer and a white alc under it.
This blade is very special because a new technology has been used by nexy to glue the different layers together. They no longer use a classic glue, but use a polyurethane glue. This should improve the characteristics of the wood.
As soon as I took it out of its packaging, I noticed that the blade had a slight odour reminiscent of the old speedglue. Perhaps it is due to this new glue used. Once the rubbers were glued on and a few days passed, the smell almost disappeared completely.

I tried this Blade with a hurricane 3 neo blue provincial and on the backhand a rozena.
usually my main set up is zhang jike alc with hurricane 3 neo blue provincial and dignics09c.
Nexy Eiger is faster than zhang jike alc and has a more direct trajectory.

I tried it for the first time against a defender and the blade allowed for devastating third balls even on a backspin ball.
In the past I used a xiom zetro quad for a while. The nexy eiger is similar in speed but feels less stiff and offers more control.
Despite the high speed it is not as bad on passive shots as the block. This I think is due to the thick hinoki layer that allows a soft touch on slow balls. I did not have any difficulty in the block and in fact I think it perhaps offers more control than the zhang jike alc.

When it comes to looping, however, I found myself going off the table because of the very direct trajectory.
The spin is very good slightly less than zhang jike alc but still very high. On serves the hinoki layer helps to keep the ball short.
It's a two speed gear blade if you hit softly the hinoki layer helps with control but if you hit hard the alc layer takes over and gives great speed.
In conclusion if you like a blade with a touch of hinoki, very fast but with good control this is the one for you.
