1)Whom

        ① I met a girl. I had met the girl in New York long time ago.

        → I met a girl whom I had met in New York long time ago.
* a girl과 the girl이 같은 사람일 경우, 두 단어는 서로 관계가 있음.
* the girl은 사람이면서 문장에서 목적어이므로 목적격관계대명사 whom이 적합함.

        ② I found Tom. I was looking for him all day long.

        → I found Tom whom I was looking for all day long.
* Tom과 him이 관계가 있는 명사일 경우.
* him이 사람이면서 목적어이기 때문에 목적격관계대명사가 적합함.

2) Which 시리즈
(1) 주격 which
주격 which는 사물이나 동물을 나타내는 관계대명사로 대체할 명사가 이면서 문장 내에서 주어기능을 할 때 주격관계대명사 which를 사용할 수 있습니다.
        ① I like the book. The book is on the red table.
        → I like the book which is on the red table.
* 대체하고자 하는 뒷 문장의 the book은 사물이면서 주어기능을 하고 있으므로 주격관계대명사 which가 적당함.
       ② I want the doll. It has a red ribbon.
        → I want the doll which has a red ribbon.
* It은 주어이면서 사물이기 때문에 주격관계대명사 which가 적절합니다.
(2) of which 혹은 whose
       ① I bought a book. It's cover was red.
        → I bought a book of which(whose) cover was red.
It's는 소유격이며 사물이기 때문에 적절한 관계대명사는 of which 혹은 whose입니다.
        ② The car is parked there. I can see the tires of it.
        → The car of which tires I can see is parked there.
* 일단 the car와 it이 동일한 사물이며, of it이 소유격 형태입니다(of 소유격).
* of which를 whose로 바꾸어도 됩니다.
→ The car whose tires I can see is parked there.

* 여전히 문장이 복잡해 보이면 whose tires I can see를 콤마로서 분리시켜 삽입된 형태로 만들면 더욱 문장이 정리돼 보입니다.
→ The car, whose tires I can see, is parked there.

(3) 목적격 which

       ① I found the wallet. I had lost it long time ago.

        → I found the wallet which I had lost long time ago. 
        ② I want to buy the house. My grand parents used to live in the house.

        → I want to buy the house which my grand parents used to live in.

(중요) 전치사의 목적어를 관계대명사로 처리를 할 때 전치사는 뒤에 남아 있을 수도 있고, 목적격관계대명사 앞으로 올 수도 있습니다. 단 목적격 관계대명사가 that인 경우에는 전치사가 앞으로 올 수 없습니다.

        ① This is Tom. I will go to America with Tom.

        → This is Tom whom I will go to America with. (o)

        → This is Tom with whom I will go to America. (o)

       
참고  주격 which와 목적격 which의 구별

주격 ;which : ?which+동사?의 어순으로 쓰인다.

        I have a book which is very interesting.

        (나는 아주 재미있는 책을 한 권 가지고 있다.)
목적격 which : ?which+주어+동사?의 어순으로 쓰인다.

        This is the book which I read yesterday.
