열왕기하25장 말씀입니다.

1. 시드기야의 통치 제구년 시월 곧 그 달 십일에 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살이 자기의 모든 군대를 거느리고 예루살렘을 치러 와서 예루살렘을 향해 진을 치고 그들이 그것을 치려고 사방으로 요새들을 쌓으매

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth [day] of the month, [that] Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.

2. 그 도시가 시드기야 왕의 제십일년까지 포위되었으며

And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

3. 사월 구일에 그 도시에 기근이 심하여 그 땅의 백성을 위한 빵이 없더라.

And on the ninth [day] of the [fourth] month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.

4. 그 도시가 함락되매 모든 군사가 밤에 두 성벽 사이에 있던 성문 길 곧 왕의 동산 옆에 있던 길을 따라 도망하였고 (이제 갈대아 사람들이 사방에서 그 도시를 에워쌌으므로) 왕이 평야를 향한 길로 가니라.

And the city was broken up, and all the men of war [fled] by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which [is] by the kings garden: [were] against the city round about: and [the king] went the way toward the plain.

5. 갈대아 사람들의 군대가 왕을 쫓아가 여리고 평야에서 그를 따라잡으매 그의 모든 군대가 그를 떠나 흩어지니라.

And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.

6. 이에 그들이 왕을 잡아 리블라에 있던 바빌론 왕에게로 데리고 올라가매 그들이 그를 심판하고

So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him. 

7. 시드기야의 아들들을 그의 눈앞에서 죽이며 시드기야의 눈을 빼고 놋 족쇄로 그를 결박하여 바빌론으로 끌고 갔더라.

And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon. 

8. 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살의 제십구년 오월 곧 그 달 칠일에 바빌론 왕의 신하인 호위대장 느부사라단이 예루살렘에 이르러

And in the fifth month, on the seventh [day] of the month, which [is] the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem: 

9. {주}의 집과 왕의 집을 불태우고 예루살렘의 모든 집과 모든 위대한 자의 집을 불태우며

And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the kings house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great [mans] house burnt he with fire.

10. 또 호위대장과 함께한 갈대아 사람들의 온 군대가 예루살렘 성벽을 사방에서 허니라.

And all the army of the Chaldees, that [were with] the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.

11. 또 이제 도시에 남아 있던 백성의 남은 자들과 바빌론 왕에게 항복한 도망자들과 무리의 남은 자들은 호위대장 느부사라단이 사로잡아 갔으나

Now the rest of the people [that were] left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away. 

12. 호위대장이 그 땅의 가난한 자들은 남겨 두어 포도원을 가꾸는 자와 농부가 되게 하였더라.

But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land [to be] vinedressers and husbandmen.

13. 또 갈대아 사람들이 {주}의 집의 놋 기둥들과 받침대들과 {주}의 집의 놋 바다를 산산조각 내어 그것들의 놋을 바빌론으로 가져가고

And the pillars of brass that [were] in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that [was] in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.

14. 또 솥들과 부삽들과 심지 자르는 기구들과 숟가락들과 그들이 섬길 때 쓰던 모든 놋그릇을 가져갔으며

And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

15. 호위대장이 또 불 옮기는 그릇들과 대접들을 가져가되 금으로 된 것은 금으로 은으로 된 것은 은으로 가져갔으며

And the firepans, and the bowls, [and] such things as [were] of gold, [in] gold, and of silver, [in] silver, the captain of the guard took away.

16. 또 솔로몬이 {주}의 집을 위해 만든 두 기둥과 한 바다와 받침대들을 취하였는데 이 모든 기구의 놋은 무게를 헤아릴 수 없었더라.

The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight. 

17. 한 기둥의 높이는 십팔 큐빗이요, 그 위의 기둥머리는 놋이더라. 그 기둥머리의 높이는 삼 큐빗이며 그 기둥머리 위에 사방에 있던 땋은 것과 석류들이 다 놋이더라. 두 번째 기둥도 이와 같았으며 땋은 것이 있었더라.

The height of the one pillar [was] eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it [was] brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.

18. 호위대장이 수제사장 스라야와 부제사장 스바냐와 문지기 세 사람을 붙잡고

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door: 

19. 군사들을 감독하던 관리 한 사람과 또 왕의 앞에 있던 자들 가운데 도시에서 발견한 다섯 사람과 또 그 땅의 백성을 징집하던 군대의 총서기관 한 사람과 도시에서 발견한 그 땅의 백성 육십 명을 도시에서 붙잡으니라.

And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the kings presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land [that were] found in the city: 

20. 호위대장 느부사라단이 이들을 붙잡아 리블라에 있던 바빌론 왕에게로 데려가매

And Nebuzaradan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:

21. 바빌론 왕이 하맛 땅의 리블라에서 그들을 쳐서 죽였더라. 이와 같이 유다가 사로잡혀 자기들의 땅을 떠났더라.

And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.

22. 유다 땅에 남아 있던 백성으로 말하건대 그들은 곧 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살이 남겨 둔 자들이더라. 느부갓네살 왕이 사반의 손자요, 아히감의 아들인 그달리야를 그들의 치리자로 삼았더라.

And [as for] the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.

23. 바빌론 왕이 그달리야를 총독으로 삼았다는 것을 군대의 모든 대장과 그들의 사람들이 듣고 느다니야의 아들 이스마엘과 가레아의 아들 요하난과 느도바 사람 단후멧의 아들 스라야와 마아가 사람의 아들 야아사니야와 그들의 사람들이 다 미스바로 가서 그달리야에게 나아가매

And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

24. 그달리야가 그들과 그들의 사람들에게 맹세하여 이르되, 너희는 갈대아 사람들의 종이 되는 것을 두려워하지 말고 그 땅에 거하며 바빌론 왕을 섬기라. 그리하면 너희가 평안하리라, 하니라.

And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.

25. 그러나 칠월에 왕가의 씨에 속한 엘리사마의 손자요, 느다니야의 아들인 이스마엘이 열 사람을 거느리고 와서 그달리야를 쳐서 죽이고 또 그와 함께 미스바에 있던 유대인들과 갈대아 사람들을 죽이매

But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah. 

26. 큰 자나 작은 자나 할 것 없이 온 백성과 군대의 대장들이 일어나 이집트로 갔으니 이는 그들이 갈대아 사람들을 두려워하였기 때문이더라.

And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.

27. 유다 왕 여호야긴이 포로로 잡혀간 지 삼십칠년째 되는 해 곧 바빌론 왕 에빌므로닥이 통치하기 시작한 해 십이월 즉 그 달 이십칠일에 그가 유다 왕 여호야긴을 감옥에서 내놓아 그의 머리를 들게 하고

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth [day] of the month, [that] Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;

28. 그에게 친절하게 말하며 그의 왕좌를 자기와 함께 바빌론에 있던 왕들의 왕좌보다 높이 두고

And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that [were] with him in Babylon; 

29. 그가 입은 죄수의 의복을 갈아입히니 그가 평생토록 계속해서 그 앞에서 빵을 먹었더라.

And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.

30. 또 그의 쓸 것을 왕이 계속해서 그에게 주되 날마다 정한 비율로 그의 평생토록 매일 주었더라.

And his allowance [was] a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.
