참부모의 말씀 상속
 
1 여러분 개체 내에서 마음과 몸이 갈라져 매일 싸우고 있는데, 그것은 하나님의 말씀으로 수습해야 됩니다. 하나님의 인격과 심정으로 수습해야 됩니다. 내가 나를 사랑하는 것을 하나님이 좋아하고, 나를 세워 놓고 하나님이 인정할 수 있어야 합니다. 내가 말하는 것을 하나님이 그렇다고 인정하지 않으면 안 된다는 것입니다. 그러한 실체가 되기 위해서는 생활권 내에서 나를 어떻게 통일시키느냐, 자 자체 내에서 어떻게 통일전선을 구축하느냐 하는 것이 가장 시급합니다. 내가 그런 실체가 될 수 있겠느냐 하는 것을 알기 위해 나가서 정성을 다해서 말씀을 전파해 보는 것입니다. 그러다 보면 말씀을 중심삼고 하나님이 항상 같이한다는 것을 알게 될 것입니다.

원리와 말씀의 가치

2 말씀을 통해서 하나님과 연결되는 것입니다. 말씀이 아니고는 하나님과 연결될 수 없습니다. 말씀 없이는 연결성을 찾을 수 없습니다. 말씀을 선포할 실체가 없으면 아무것도 안 됩니다. 하나님과 인간이 연결되는 것은 하나님의 사랑에 연결되는 것이 목적입니다. 인간을 하나님과 연결시킬 수 있는 말씀을 선포하는 사람은 땅의 사람입니다. 하지만 그 사람이 전하는 말씀은 하나님의 말씀이기 때문에 그 말씀으로 새로운 사람이 빚어지는 것입니다.

3 타락이라는 것은 하나님의 말씀을 세우지 못함으로써 가져온 것이기 때문에, 말씀을 중심삼고 찾아 나오는 이 길 가운데서 우리는 하나님의 말씀을 절대로 세우겠다고 하는 무리입니다. 그러면 하나님의 말씀에 의지하는 사람은 어떤 사람이냐? 최대의 공적인 사람이요, 세계와 인류를 위하는 사람이요, 하나님을 위하는 사람입니다. 하나님 편에서 볼 때, 하나님의 현재의 입장에 서겠다는 것이 아니라 하나님의 이상의 자리에 서겠다는 것이요, 현재의 인류의 자리에 서겠다는 것이 아니라 현재의 인류의 자리를 넘어서 인류가 찾아 나가는 이상의 자리에 서겠다는 것입니다. 하나님의 이상에 살고, 하나님의 내일에 살고, 인류의 내일에 살겠다는 사람입니다. 그러니 얼마나 힘드냐는 것입니다. 여기서 미래의 세계를 건설하는 무리가 되자는 것입니다. 그렇게 되면 하나님이 내일을 생각할 때는 선생님과 통일교회를 생각하고, 인류가 내일을 생각하게 될 때는 통일교회와 선생님을 생각한다는 결과가 나오는 것입니다.

4 하나님은 우리를 말씀을 가지고 부르고 계시니 우리는 그 말씀대로 가야 합니다. 참다운 부모와 참다운 자녀가 상봉할 수 있는 길은 무엇이냐? 참다운 말씀을 통하는 것입니다. 그 말씀은 아버지의 말씀입니다. 아버지의 말씀을 모르고서는 자식이 될 수 없습니다. 아버지의 말씀이 절대적이요 참다운 말씀이라고 한다면, 똑같은 말씀을 천년만년 들어도 싫증이 안 납니다. 끝이 없는 것입니다. 그런 말씀을 찾아 나가야 합니다. 그 말씀은 어떠한 논리적인 조건에 딱 들어맞는다고 해서 그것으로 끝나는 것이 아닙니다. 대원칙이면서 듣고 듣고 또 듣고 영원히 들어도 생명이 될 수 있는 말씀입니다.

5 사랑하는 부모의 말씀은 영원한 것입니다. 시간과 공간을 초월한다는 말입니다. 그렇기 때문에 하나님의 말씀은 역사를 초월합니다. 시대를 초월합니다. 주의를 초월합니다. 사상을 초월합니다. 어느 누구의 말씀보다도 귀한 것입니다. 이 말씀은 밤에 들어도 낮에 들어도, 밤에 보아도 낮에 보아도 여러분의 마음에 무한히 흘러들어 가는 것입니다.

6 예수님이 유대 백성을 대하여 하시던 말씀과 그가 나타내신 모든 것은 자기 일신의 뜻이 아니었습니다. 하늘의 뜻이었습니다. 예수님은 하나님의 섭리의 뜻을 대신하였습니다. 그러나 예수님을 통하여 하나님의 뜻을 대해야 하는 타락권 내의 백성과 예수님 사이에 상충적인 논쟁이 벌어졌습니다. 타락한 세상에 하나님의 말씀이 나타난다 할 때, 이 말씀이 개인에게 나타나면 개인을 혁명할 수 있고, 민족 앞에 나타나면 민족을 혁명할 수 있고, 세계 가운데 나타나면 세계를 혁명할 수 있고, 또한 하늘땅을 새로이 혁명할 수 있는 말씀으로 나타난다는 것을 그때의 유대 백성들은 알지 못했습니다.

7 말씀의 주인은 선생님입니다. 말씀대로 살았기 때문에 말씀의 주인이 되었습니다. 말씀의 주인이 되지 못한 인간이 참부모가 못 되었기 때문에, 참부모가 되어서 말씀의 실체를 이루어 하나님 앞에 그 열매를 갖다 바쳐야만 창조목적 이상이 해방·석방의 시대로 넘어가는 것입니다.

8 선생님의 말씀을 지워 버릴 사람이 없습니다. 50년 전에 선생님이 말씀한 것을 나 자신이 다시 들어도 경배합니다. 그때 선생님이 얼마나 심각한 입장에서 말씀을 하였고, 하늘의 가치 있는 말씀을 깨끗이, 선생님이 죽더라도 남기겠다는 심각한 자리에서 말씀했습니다. 사실 그 말씀은 선생님이 죽더라도 세계를 지배할 수 있는 내용입니다. 여러분이 말씀 책을 읽어서 그런 감동을 받아야 합니다. 영적 체험을 해야 됩니다. 놀고 춤추고 하는 것도 귀하겠지만, 그 말씀에 취해 영적으로 자라는 것이 천상세계에서나 지상의 후손들에게 복 중의 복으로, 귀한 것입니다.

9 아무리 많은 신문 내용이라도 컴퓨터에 저장해 놓으면 천년만년 후에도 볼 수 있습니다. 선생님이 말씀한 내용이 많더라도 CD로 만들어 놓으면 컴퓨터를 통해 억만 세계의 억만 곳에서도 사용할 수 있습니다. 그런 시대가 된 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 거짓을 감출 수 없습니다. 숨길 데가 없습니다. 하늘의 말씀, 하늘의 사랑의 말씀이 세계적으로 빛을 발하니까 어두운 세력들은 자멸하는 것입니다. 점점 먼 곳으로 가야 합니다. 빛이 비치기 시작하면 빛이 비칠 수 있는 한계권 내에는 빛 외에 어두움이 지배를 하지 못합니다.

10 천년 후에 통일교회 선생님의 말씀이 없어지겠습니까, 안 없어지겠습니까? 이것을 생각하면 문제가 큽니다. 여러분 품에만 남아지지 않고 말씀이 흐르고 흘러서 생수가 아니라 약수가 되어 천년 후에 모든 사람이 먹고 만병통치약이라고 자랑할 수 있는 생명의 말씀으로서 남기를 바라면서 정성들이고 있습니다.

11 통일교회 진리는 통일교회 역사 가운데서 싸움의 노정으로 말미암아 밝혀진 진리가 아닙니다. 이것은 창세전부터 참부모의 인연을 중심삼고 참된 가정, 참된 종족, 참된 민족, 참된 국가, 참된 세계를 창건하고자 했던 하나님의 창조이상 가운데 있던 진리입니다. 또한 하나님의 복귀섭리의 이상까지도 내포한 역사적인 인연을 지니고 있는 진리입니다.

12 절대신앙의 조상이 되고, 절대사랑의 조상이 되고, 절대 지혜의 조상이 되는 분이 참부모입니다. 그러기에 원리 말씀을 절대믿음 가운데, 절대사랑 가운데, 절대 지혜를 갖춰 찾았기 때문에 하늘을 대하나, 사탄을 대하나, 인류역사를 대하나 이 원칙을 부정하지 않고 긍정할 수 있는, 패권을 가질 수 있는 하나의 방패입니다.

13 통일원리는 자연적 법칙에 의해서 모든 것이 연결되어 있기 때문에 원리라고 합니다. 천적인 원리입니다. 영원히 변치 않는 원리라는 것입니다. 원리는 교리가 아닙니다. 통일교회 교리가 아니고, 참부모님이 가르쳐 주는 교리가 아닙니다. 교리라는 것은 타락한 사람들이 하늘을 찾아가기 위한 것인데, 하늘과 같이 사는 사람들 앞에 무슨 교리입니까? 천적인 법입니다.

14 선생님의 말씀은 여러분이 들어도 금방 이해하지 못할 것입니다. 그렇지만 책으로 되어 있는 것을 여러 번 읽게 되면 틀림없이 이해하게 됩니다. 선생님은 그렇게 광대한 세계를 총괄해서 분별하고 비교하고 대조해서 배열해 가는 머리를 가지고 있기 때문에, 이 세계의 모든 지식세계를 수습해서 원리라고 하는 전통적인 기준을 중심삼고 이론적인 체제를 완벽하게 해 놓았습니다. 수천수만 명의 학자들도 그 가치를 인정하지 않을 수 없습니다. 통일교회는 그런 무서운 무기를 가지고 있습니다.

15 선생님의 말씀은 통일교회가 역사에 없어지더라도 주류사상으로 언제든지 꼭대기에 남을 사상입니다. 여러분이 못하면 어느 때에 전부 하게 돼 있습니다. 수많은 나라가 경쟁해서 할 수 있는 때가 온다는 것입니다. 그러면 여러분은 거꾸로 됩니다. 처음 된 자가 나중 되고 나중 된 자가 처음 되는 것입니다. 뒤집어지는 것입니다. 때를 잃어버린 사람은 역사에 남지 못합니다.

16 여러분은 참부모를 찾아 나가는 데 있어서 참부모의 말씀, 영원한 가치와 인연맺게 해주는 참다운 말씀의 가치를 느껴 보았습니까? 못 느껴 보았다면 참다운 가치의 말씀을 하시는 아버지가 오셔도 모른다는 것입니다. 이러한 참다운 말씀의 가치를 밝히 알기 위해서는 기도해야 됩니다. 이 땅 위의 인간은 참아버지의 말씀, 참말씀을 찾아 나가야 합니다. 그 말씀은 예수님의 심정이 동하는 말씀이요, 6천년 동안 섭리해 오신 하나님의 심정이 동하는 말씀입니다. 또한 그 말씀이 이 땅 위에 나오게 되면 6천년 곡절의 역사를 밝혀 주는 것이요, 하나님의 분함과 하나님의 억울함과 하나님의 원통함을 밝혀 주는 것입니다. 그러니 하나님의 심정이 동하지 않을 수 없다는 것입니다.

17 하나님의 말씀은 어떤 원칙을 세우는 것이 아니고, 하나님의 생명과 이념을 만들기 위한 것입니다. 오늘날 이 땅에는 진리를 표방하는 많은 종교의 교리, 주의가 있지만, 그대로 실천해서 우리의 마음과 몸이 편하고 영원히 그 말씀에 젖어 들게 하는 것은 없습니다. 우주의 생명의 원천이신 하나님의 사랑이 우리의 마음 몸을 움직여 왔다면, 하나님의 참말씀이 나오면 모든 주의 주장을 근본적으로 해결할 수 있을 것입니다.

18 여러분은 말씀에 대한 전통을 세워야 합니다. 그리고 말씀과 더불어 일체가 될 수 있는 인격을 갖추어야 합니다. 끝날의 심판에는 3대 심판이 있습니다. 그 첫째는 말씀심판, 둘째는 인격심판, 셋째는 심정심판입니다. 이것이 절대적인 기준으로 되어 있습니다. 사람이 하나님의 말씀과 일치된 자리에 서지 못한 것이 타락입니다. 따먹지 말라는 말씀을 절대시하여 전통을 세웠어야 합니다. 그러지 못하고 타락하였으니 복귀의 노정을 걸어가는 사람들은 최후에 나타날 하나의 진리 말씀과 하나될 수 있는 전통을 세워야 합니다. 하늘에는 그러한 전통이 세워져 있는데, 땅 위에 살고 있는 사람들에게는 그러한 전통이 되어 있지 않습니다. 만일 이 전통이 세워지지 않으면 통일교회도 기독교처럼 수많은 교파로 분열될 가능성이 있습니다.

19 말씀을 중심삼고 일체 되는 전통을 어떻게 세울 것이냐 하는 것이 절대적인 문제입니다. 말씀은 말씀대로 우리는 우리대로 동떨어져서는 안 됩니다. 말씀을 중심삼고 자신을 키워 나갈 수 있는 사람이 되어야 합니다. 절대적인 기준의 말씀을 중심삼고 전통을 세워야 합니다. 말씀을 세울 때의 선생님 마음의 기준에 여러분도 접해야 됩니다. 여러분이 말씀을 배운다고 할지라도 말씀을 중심삼고 배운 그 기준에서 믿기 위한 것이지 완전한 것이 아닙니다. 그 말씀의 배후에 전통적인 기준이 숨어 있으니 그 기준을 체득해야 됩니다. 그렇기 때문에 더욱 말씀에 대한 전통을 세워 나가지 않으면 안 됩니다.

真の父母のみ言相続
 
1 皆さんの個体をどのように統一させるかということが問題です。皆さんの個体内で、心と体が分かれて毎日闘っているのですが、それは、神様のみ言で収拾しな ければなりません。神様の人格と心情で収拾しなければなりません。私が私を愛することを神様が好まれ、私を立てておいて神様が認めなければなりません。私 が語ることを、神様がそのとおりだと認めなければならないのです。そのような実体になるためには、生活圏内で私をどのように統一させるのか、私自体内でど のように統一戦線を構築するかということが、最も急がれるのです。私がそのような実体になれるかということを知るために、出ていって精誠を尽くし、み言を 伝播してみるのです。そのようにしてみれば、み言を中心として、神様が常に共にいらっしゃることを知るようになるでしょう。


原理とみ言の価値

2 み言を通して、神様と連結されるのです。み言でなければ、神様と連結されません。み言なしには、連結性を見いだすことができません。み言を宣布する実体が なければ、何にもなりません。神様と人閲が連結されるのは、神様の愛に連結されることが目的です。人間を神様と連結させることができるみ言を宣布する人 は、地上にいる人ですが、その人の伝えるみ言は、神様のみ言なので、そのみ言で新しい人がつくられるのです。

3  堕落というのは、神様のみ言を立てられなかったことによってもたらされたので、み言を中心として訪ねてくるこの道の中で、私たちは、神様のみ言を絶対に立 てようとする群れです。

それでは、神様のみ言を中心とする人は、どのような人なのでしょうか。最大の公的な人であり、世界と人類のために生きる人であり、神様のために生きる人で す。神側から見るとき、神様の現在の立場に立とうということではなく、神様の理想の位置に立とうということであり、現在の人類の位置に立とうということで はなく、現在の人類の位置を越えて、人類が求めていく理想の位置に立とうということです。神様の理想に生き、神様のあすに生き、人類のあすに生きようとい う人です。ですから、どれほど苦労が多いでしょうか。ここで、未来の世界を建設しようという群れになろうというのです。そのようになれば、神様があすを思 うときは、先生と統一教会を思い、人類があすを思うときは、統一教会を思い、先生を思うという結果が出てくるのです。

4 神様は、み言をもって私たちを呼び求めていらっしゃるので、私たちはそのみ言どおりに行かなければなりません。真の父母と真の子女が相まみえることができ る道とは何でしょうか。真のみ言に通じることです。そのみ言は父のみ言です。父のみ言を知らずしては、子女になることができません。父のみ言が絶対的であ り、真のみ言であるとするならば、同じみ言を千年、万年聞いても飽きません。終わりがないのです。そのようなみ言を求めていかなければなりません。

そのみ言は、ある論理的な条件にぴったりと合うからといって、それで終わるものではありません。大原則でありながら、聞いて、聞いて、また聞いて、永遠に 聞いても生命となるみ言です。

5 愛する父母のみ言は永遠です。時間と空間を超越しているのです。ですから、神様のみ言は歴史を超越します。時代を超越します。主義を超越します。思想を超 越します。どこの誰の言葉よりも貴いのです。そのみ言は、夜聞いても、昼聞いても、夜見ても、昼見ても、皆さんの心に無限に流れ込んでいくのです。

6 イエス様がユダヤの民に対しておっしゃったみ言と、彼が現したすべてのものは、自分一身のみ旨ではありませんでした。天のみ旨でした。イエス様は、神様の 摂理のみ旨を身代わりしていたのです。しかし、イエス様を通して神様のみ旨と向き合わなければならない堕落圏内の民とイエス様の間に、相反する論争が起こ りました。堕落した世の中に、神様のみ言が現れるとき、このみ言が個人に現れれば、個人を革命でき、民族に現れれば、民族を革命でき、世界の中に現れれ ば、世界を革命でき、また天と地を新たに革命できるみ言として現れることを、その時のユダヤの民たちは知ることができませんでした。

7 み言の主人は、先生です。み言どおりに生きたので、み言の主人になりました。み言の主人になれなかった人間は真の父母になれなかったので、真の父母になっ てみ言の実体となり、神様のみ前にその実を捧げてこそ、創造目的の理想が解放、釈放の時代に越えていくのです。

8 先生のみ言を消してしまう人はいません。五十年前に先生が語ったことを、私自身が再び聞いても敬拝します。その時、先生がどれほど深刻な立場で語ったで しょうか。天の価値あるみ言を、先生が死んでもきれいにそのまま残そうという深刻な立場で語りました。実際、そのみ言は、先生が死んでも世界を治めること ができる内容です。皆さんはみ言の本を読んで、そのような感動を受けなければなりません。霊的体験をしなければなりません。遊んで踊ったりすることも貴い かもしれませんが、そのみ言に酔いしれて霊的に育つことが、天上世界でも、地上の子孫たちにとっても、福の中の福であり、貴いのです。

9 どんなに多い新聞の内容も、コンピューターに保存しておけば、千年後、万年後でも見ることができます。先生の語った内容が多かったとしても、CDにしてお けば、コンピユーターを通して億万世界の億万の場所でも使うことができます。そのような時代になったのです。ですから、偽りを隠すことはできません。隠す 所がありません。天のみ言、天の愛のみ言が世界的に光を発するので、暗い勢力は自滅するのです。次第に遠い所に行かなければなりません。光が照らし始めれ ば、光が照らすことができる限界圏内では、光以外の暗闇が支配することはできません。

10 千年後に、統一教会の先生のみ言がなくなるでしょうか、なくならないでしょうか。これを考えると、問題が大きいのです。皆さんの懐だけに残らず、み言が流 れ流れて、生水ではなく薬水となり、千年後にすべての人が飲んで万能薬だと誇ることができる生命のみ言として残ることを願いながら、精誠を尽くしているの です。

11 統一教会の真理は、統一教会の歴史の中で闘いの路程によって明らかになった真理ではありません。これは、創世以前から、真の父母との絆を中心として、真の 家庭、真の氏族、真の民族、真の国家、真の世界を創建しようとされた神様の創造理想の中にあった真理です。また、神様の復帰摂理の理想までも内包した歴史 的な絆をもっている真理です。

12 絶対信仰の先祖となり、絶対愛の先祖となり、絶対知恵の先祖となる方が、真の父母です。それで、原理のみ言を絶対信仰の中で、絶対愛の中で、絶対知恵を備 えて探し出したので、天に対しても、サタンに対しても、人類歴史に対しても、この原則を否定せずに肯定することができる、覇権をもつことができる一つの盾 なのです。

13 「統一原理」は、自然的法則によってすべてのものが連結しているので、原理であると言うのです。天的な原理です。永遠に変わらない原理なのです。原理は、 教理ではありません。統一教会の教理ではなく、真の父母が教えてあげる教理ではありません。教理とは、堕落した人々が天を求めていくためのものですが、天 と共に生きる人に、何の教理が必要でしょうか。天的な法が必要なのです。

14 先生のみ言は、皆さんが聞いても、すぐには理解できないでしょう。しかし、本になっているものを何度も読めば、間違いなく理解するようになります。先生 は、そのように広大な世界を総括して分別し、比較し、対照して、配列していく頭をもっているので、この世界のすべての知識世界を収拾し、原理という伝統的 な基準を中心として、理論的な体系を完壁にしたのです。数千、数万人の学者たちも、その価値を認めざるを得ません。統一教会は、そのような恐るべき「武 器」をもっています。

15 先生のみ言は、統一教会が歴史からなくなったとしても、主流思想として、いつでも頂上に残る思想です。皆さんができなければ、ある時にすべて成就されるよ うになっています。数多くの国が競争して行う時が来るのです。そうすれば、皆さんは逆になります。

先の者があとになり、あとの者が先になるのです。ひっくり返るのです。時を失ってしまった人は、歴史に残ることができません。

16 皆さんは、真の父母を求めていくときに、真の父母のみ言、永遠の価値と関係を結んでくれる真のみ言の価値を感じてみましたか。感じてみることができなかっ たならば、真の価値のみ言を語られる父が来られても、分からないのです。このような真のみ言の価値をはっきりと知るためには、祈らなければなりません。こ の地上の人間は、真の父のみ言、真のみ言を求めていかなければなりません。そのみ言は、イエス様の心情が動くみ言であり、六千年間摂理してこられた神様の 心情が動くみ言です。また、そのみ言がこの地上に出てくるようになれば、六千年の曲折の歴史を明らかにしてくれるのであり、神様の悔しさと神様の無念さと 神様の恨を明らかにしてくれるのです。したがって、神様の心情が動かざるを得ないのです。

17 神様のみ言は、ある原則を立てるのではなく、神様の生命と理念をつくるためのものです。今日、この地には、真理を標榜する多くの宗教の教理や主義がありま すが、そのまま実践して、私たちの心と体が安らかになり、永遠にそこに染まり得るものはありません。宇宙の生命の源泉である神様の愛が、私たちの心と体を 動かしてきたとすれば、神様の真のみ言が出てくれば、すべての主義、主張を根本的に解決することができるでしょう。

18 皆さんは、み言に対する伝統を立てなければなりません。そして、み言とともに一体となることができる人格を備えなければなりません。終わりの日の審判に は、三大審判があります。その一番目はみ言の審判、二番目は人格審判、三番目は心情審判です。これが絶対的な基準になっています。人が、神様のみ言と一致 した位置に立つことができなかったのが堕落です。取って食べてはならないというみ言を絶対視して、伝統を立てなければなりませんでした。そのようにするこ とができずに堕落したので、復帰の路程を歩んでいく人々は、最後に現れる一つの真理のみ言と一つになれる伝統を立てなければなりません。天には、そのよう な伝統が立てられているのですが、地上に住んでいる人々には、そのような伝統ができていません。もしこの伝統が立てられなければ、統一教会も、キリスト教 のように数多くの教派に分裂する可能性があります。

19 み言を中心として、一体となる伝統をどのようにして立てるのかということが、絶対的な問題です。み言はみ言、私たちは私たちというように、かけ離れていて はいけません。み言を中心として、自分を育てていくことができる人にならなければなりません。絶対的な基準のみ言を中心として、伝統を立てなければなりま せん。み言を立てる時の先生の心の基準に、皆さんも接しなければならないのです。皆さんがみ言を学ぶとしても、み言を中心として学んだその基準で信じるた めのものであって、完全なものではありません。そのみ言の背後に伝統的な基準が隠れているので、その基準を体得しなければなりません。ですから、より一 層、み言に対する伝統を立てていかなければなりません。

Inheriting the Teachings of the True Parents 

1 The question is not how to unify the world, but how to unify yourself. Within each of you, your mind and body are divided and are fighting every day. To resolve this problem, you need God’s word. Living by the word, you should resemble God’s character and heart. You have to reach the point where God likes it when you love yourself, and where God would lift you up and give you His recognition. You have to arrive at the point where God recognizes the things you say as true. In order to become such people in reality, the most urgent matter is to create the realm of unity with others in your daily life and to become a person who has mind-body unity within yourself. How can you know whether you have become a person with mind-body unity? Go out and spread the word with utmost devotion. When you do so, you will realize that God is always with you through your connection to the Word. (27-337, 1970.01.01)

The value of the Divine Principle and Father’s words 

2 We are connected to God through the Word. If the Word did not exist, we could not be connected to God. If it were not for the Word, we could not find the way to connect with Him. Hence, unless there are people who actually spread the Word, nothing will happen. God’s purpose in connecting to us as human beings is to enable us to connect to His love. Those who convey the Word that connects people to God may be people on earth, but the Word they convey is from God. It is through that Word that people are made new. (27-337, 1970.01.01)

3 The Fall happened because of a failure to uphold God’s Word. Therefore, as we seek to follow this path, which is centered on God’s Word, we are to be a group that pledges to absolutely uphold God’s Word. What kinds of people rely on God’s Word? They are the most public, living for the sake of the world and for all humankind, living for the sake of God. When God looks at them. He wants them to stand with Him in an ideal relationship, not content to remain merely in their current relationship with Him. Moreover, God wants them to go beyond their present situation and move forward toward their place in God’s ideal. They are people who live for God’s ideal, for God’s tomorrow and for the tomorrow of all humanity. Imagine how difficult that is! Nevertheless, I am saying that we should become a group of people who build the world of the future. When we become such people, then whenever God thinks of the future, He will think of me and of the Unification Church; and whenever people think of tomorrow, they will think about the Unification Church and think about me. We can arrive at this outcome. (88-304, 1976.10.03)

4 God is calling us with His Word. Therefore, we need to follow as His Word directs us. By what route can we meet each other as true parents and true children? It is through true words, the Word given by our Heavenly Parent. You cannot become such children unless you know the Parent’s word. If it is true that the Parent God’s Word is absolute and true, you will not feel tired even if you listen to that same word for a thousand or ten thousand years. The Parent God’s Word has no end. You have to search for that word. It is not enough to find words that fit the constraints you impose with your own logic. The Parents Word teaches not only the greatest principles but also gives life to those who listen. It gives you life no matter how many times you hear it, even if you listen repeatedly for all eternity. (10-131, 1960.09.18)

5 The words of loving parents are eternal; they transcend time and space. It is even more so with God’s Word； it transcends history, transcends ages and eras, transcends ideologies and transcends philosophies. It is more precious than the words of any human being. His Word, whether you listen to it or read it, at night or during the day, flows endlessly into your heart. (10-132, 1960.09.18)

6 The words that Jesus spoke to the Jewish people, and all the things he showed them, were not based on his own desire. They were related to the Will of Heaven. Jesus represented the providential Will of God. However, within the realm of the Fall, a clash arose between Jesus and the people who were meant to relate with God’s Will through him. When God’s Word appears in the fallen world it can transform an individual when it appears to an individual; it can transform a people when it appears to a people; it can transform the world when it appears in the world. The Jewish people did not know that Jesus was the manifestation of God’s Word that could transform heaven and earth. (001-230, 1956.11.11)

7 I am the owner of the Word. I became the owner of the Word because I have lived according to the Word. The first human beings did not become the owners of the Word and therefore they failed to become True Parents; hence someone else had to become the True Parents and embody the Word. Mother and I did that, and then we offered its fruit before God. This is why we can all advance into the era of liberation and complete freedom and realize the ideal of God’s purpose of creation. 8 No one can erase the words I have spoken. When I listen again to the words that I spoke fifty years ago, I bow down out of respect for those words. When I spoke in those days, I did so with such seriousness. I had the urgent determination that even though I could die that day, I would leave my words for future generations. Even though I might be dead and gone, I knew that my words were so profound and significant that with them people in the future would be able to lead the world. When you read the volumes of my sermons, you should be moved to the degree that you come to that realization. You should have spiritual experiences. You may enjoy playing and dancing and such, but to be enraptured by my words and grow spiritually through them is a blessing among all blessings for you, your ancestors in the spirit world, and your descendants in the earthly world. 9 If the content of many newspapers is saved on a computer drive, you will be able to read it even a thousand or ten thousand years from now. Likewise, if we store all my words on CDs, billions of people in every corner of the globe will be able to use computers to listen to it. We are now living in such an era. Therefore, you cannot hide falsehoods. There is no longer anywhere to hide them. As the words of Heaven—the words of Heavens love—shine brightly throughout the world, the forces of darkness will eventually self-destruct. They will have to flee further and further away. Once the light begins to shine, darkness can no longer rule in the realms bathed in that light. (342-022, 2001.01.09)

10 A thousand years from now, will the words that I spoke as the founder of the Unification Church have disappeared? Whenever I think about it, I realize that tins is a serious matter. My words must not remain only within your hearts； they must flow and become medicinal waters—not just spring water一so that everyone can drink those waters, even one thousand years from now. I want people to be able to point to my words with pride, recognizing that they are a universal remedy, a medicine that can cure all ailments. For this, I am offering sincere devotion in the hope that my words will last forever as life-giving words. (340-064, 2000.12.23)

11 The truth of the Unification Church is not only a truth that was revealed through struggles in its own history. It is the truth that existed even before the Creation. It is God’s ideal of creation to establish a true family, a true tribe, a true people, a true nation and a true world based on the relationship with Trae Parents. This truth revealed in the Divine Principle also contains the details of what was done in the history of God’s providence of restoration in order to realize God’s ideal. (30-318, 1970.04.06)

12 The True Parents are the ancestors of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute wisdom. It was with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute wisdom that I discovered the words of the Divine Principle. Therefore, whether we stand in front of God, Satan or history, no one can deny their validity; all must affirm it. The Divine Principle is indeed a strong shield; it has such power- (277-152, 1996.04.07)

13 The Unification Principle connects everything by the laws of nature. That is why it is called the Principle. It is Heavens Principle. That is to say, it is the eternally unchanging Principle. The Principle is not a doctrine. It is not a doctrine of the Unification Church. It is not a doctrine taught by True Parents. A doctrine is something by which fallen people seek out Heaven, but what do people who live together with God have to do with a doctrine? The Principle is Heavens law. (301-034, 1999.04.16)

14 My words are such that you will not understand them right away. However, if you read the books that contain my words many times, you will come to understand them without fail. I have a mind that can see the whole picture. By distinguishing, comparing and contrasting everything in this wide world, I have rearranged all knowledge based on the standard of a new tradition, which is called the Divine Principle. With it, I have established a philosophical system that completely restructures the entire spectrum of knowledge in all major fields. It will require thousands or even tens of thousands of scholars to recognize the full value of the Divine Principle. In the Divine Principle, the Unification Church possesses a formidable weapon. 15 My teachings embody an understanding that will forever remain at the top as the central teaching, even if in the course of history the Unification Church disappears. Even if you fail to fulfill it, others will do so at some point. A time will come when many nations will compete to fulfill my teachings. When that happens, your situation will be the opposite of what it is today. Those who were first will be last, and those who were last will be first. Everything will be turned upside down. Those of you who miss this opportunity will not be remembered in history. (390-314, 2002.08.16)

16 In the course of seeking the True Parents, have you really felt the value of True Parents’ words? They are the teachings that enable you to connect with eternal value. If you have never felt their value, it would not matter if True Father came and told you personally how truly valuable his words are, still you would not be able to recognize their value. In order to clearly understand the value of these words of truth, you need to pray. People on earth must seek out True Fathers teachings, for they are words of truth. They are words that move the heart of Jesus and words that move the heart of God, who has carried out His providence for six thousand years. More- over, when those words appear on the earth, they will reveal the ups and downs of that six thousand-year his- tory. They will reveal God’s anger, ill treatment and bitterness. For these reasons, True Fathers words cannot help but move God’s heart. (10-133, 1960.09.18)

17 God’s Word does not establish rules; its purpose is to give us life and fulfill His plan. There are many religious doctrines and ideologies on the earth today that advocate truth, but there are no teachings that truly bring peace to our mind and body, even when we practice them; nor are there teachings in which we can be deeply immersed for eternity. If God’s Word enables the love of God, the source of life in the universe, to move within our mind and body, then surely with God’s true Word we can fundamentally resolve the claims of all ideologies and doctrines. 18 You need to establish a tradition based on the Word and develop a character that will enable you to attain oneness with the Word. In the Last Days there are three judgments: the first is judgment by the Word, the second is judgment of character, and the third is judgment of heart. This is the absolute standard; it is already established. The Fall occurred when the first human beings could not unite with God’s Word. Adam and Eve should have taken God’s commandment not to eat the fruit as absolute and thus established the right tradition. But they did not do so, and consequently fell. Therefore, those people who walked the course of restoration had to establish the tradition of uniting with the Word, which prefigured the ultimate truth that appears in the end times. In heaven such a tradition has been already established, but it has not yet been established for people on earth. If this tradition is not established, then there is a possibility that, like Christianity, the Unification Church will split into many denominations. (21-326, 1969.01.01)

19 The critical issue is to establish the tradition that brings us into oneness with the Word. You should not be separate from the Word. You should be people who cultivate yourselves based on the Word and move forward based on the Word. You have to establish a tradition based on the Word by taking it as the absolute standard. For this, you need to be tuned to my mind and heart as it was when I introduced the Word. You study the Word so that you can believe in the Word, yet your standard of understanding is not yet perfect. There is a time-honored standard in background to the Word, and you have to meet that standard. For this, you need to establish a tradition of deeply penetrating the Word. (21-327, 1969.01.01)
