About Us: SUSHI BOX is a small and cozy Japanese restaurant known for our authentic and flavorful dishes, served in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We take pride in providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience that reflects the rich culinary traditions of Japan. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our close-knit kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Japanese dishes, including sushi, tempura, and other specialties.
• Ensure all food is prepared to our high standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow in a small kitchen environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in developing new menu items and daily specials that align with our Japanese culinary focus.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cook, preferably in a Japanese restaurant or with Japanese cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a small, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
• A deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to delivering high-quality food.
