Joy of Spring
As I rushed out to see where the startled cry came from,
I was greeted by one purple flower leaf that has just thrust its head
through the melting snow.
From every branch of the trees, from every joint of finger tips
that defied the harsh winter chill all through the wind with their
arms stretched,
Look, how those newborn buds are bursting out!
Last night's unseasonable thunderstorm summoned
armies of earthworms on the pavements ozzing their smell.
The entire woods are clamorous with the endless tales by the
countless birds that has been silenced till now.
Again, spring has returned.
The golden bells offer their yellow flowers first;
Azaleas dip the whole hillside in pink;
Young people get together in couples;
While the opulent magnolia fragrance overflows the yard.
Welcoming this season when the warm breeze stealthily brush
past the field, cradled in dense fog,
Let us enjoy spring day like those youthful pairs,
After long peaceful sleep in the nest,
When the dawn breaks,
Let us fly away like the birds of passage.
