천성경 (증) - 168. 책임분담과 뜻 성사

19 섭리에는 수행해야 할 주체가 있고 수행해야 할 대상이 있습니다. 주체는 하나님입니다. 대상은 사람입니다. 그 주체와 대상이 섭리의 뜻을 중심삼고 하나로 완성되지 않고는 승리의 기원을 찾을 수 없습니다. 하나님은 주체와 대상이 하나되게 만들지, 왜 안 되게끔 만들었느냐? 그것은 인간 책임분담이 있기 때문입니다. 인간 책임분담이 있기 때문에 이런 복잡한 문제가 연장되어 내려왔습니다. 만약 인간 책임분담이 없었다면 하나님은 언제나 승리의 역사로부터 승리의 과정을 거쳐서 승리의 종착점까지 갔을 것입니다.

20 타락한 후손인 여러분에게는 책임분담권이 다 남아 있습니다. 개인적인 책임분담을 중심삼고 볼 때, 개인적인 원리결과주관권에서 개인완성을 해서 하나님의 사랑과 연결시켜 하나님과 직접적인 사랑의 인연을 맺을 수 있는 개인적인 직접주관권 기반을 가졌느냐 할 때 못 가졌다는 것입니다. 탕감복귀는 사탄을 분립시키기 위해서 필요합니다. 사탄을 분립하지 않고는 책임분담을 할 수 없습니다. 그렇기 때문에 책임분담 길을 가서 성숙하여 17, 18세가 되어 남자에게 절대 필요한 것이 여자이고 여자에게 절대 필요한 것이 남자라는 것을 알아야 됩니다.

21 하나님이 인간에게 책임분담 기간을 왜 두었느냐? 어찌하여 하나님이 책임분담이라는 과정을 중심삼고 서로 접근하지 않으면 안 되게 했느냐? 왜 하나의 공동목적인 창조 위업 완성이라는 과제를 완성시켜야 할 공동적인 한때를 바라면서 가야 되느냐? 그것은 다름 아닌 사랑 때문입니다. 청년 남녀들은 사춘기를 맞이하는데, 영적이나 육적으로 완전히 성숙해서 꽃이 필 수 있는 때가 사춘기입니다. 사춘기는 18세를 전후해서 인간에게 반드시 찾아옵니다. 그 사춘기에 있어서 영적인 사람과 육적인 사람이 있으면 비로소 그들이 하나되어서 꽃을 피우는 것입니다. 만물의 중심인 인간이 그 향기를 풍기면 이 모든 우주가 화동할 수 있는 하나의 봄절기를 맞는 환경이 되었을 것입니다. 그 봄절기는 인간의 봄절기인 동시에 하나님의 봄절기입니다. 하나님이 기쁜 가운데 향취를 맡고 노래를 부르며 ‘기쁘다.’라고 할 수 있으면 거기에서 비로소 하나님의 완성적 이상 생활권이 출발하였을 것입니다.

22 사랑의 중심은 인간이 아니고 어디까지나 하나님입니다. 그렇기 때문에 원리에 있어서 책임분담 완성은 인간의 사랑과 하나님의 사랑이 하나되는 것을 말합니다. 하나님의 사랑은 영원한 사랑이니만큼 영원한 사랑을 중심삼고 상대의 자리에서 하나되는 것은 영원한 일체를 이루는 것입니다. 거기에는 분립이 있을 수 없습니다.

23 아담 한 사람의 책임분담 완성으로 개인 책임분담 완성뿐만 아니라 가정·종족·민족·국가·세계·천주 책임분담 완성을 할 수 있는 기반이 아담 일대에서 닦아집니다. 그러면 아담의 후손은 책임분담 완성권에 서기 때문에 하늘나라의 직접 통치를 받을 수 있는 세계사적인 기준에 서게 됩니다. 거기에는 세계 책임분담이니 국가 책임분담이니 하는 것이 남지 않습니다. 아담 완성과 더불어 세계 책임분담 완성이 벌어집니다. 책임분담을 완성함으로써 원리결과주관권과 직접주관권이 연결됩니다.

24 직접주관권과 원리결과주관권이 연결된 그 길, 그 접선은 사랑으로 말미암아 시작됩니다. 그것이 연결되기 때문에 사랑으로 연결되는 사랑의 다리가 생겨난 것입니다. 하나님과 인간 사이에 사랑의 다리가 비로소 생기는 것입니다. 그러나 책임분담 완성을 하지 않은 자리는 인간과 하나님의 사랑에 원래의 이상적 다리가 놓이지 않습니다. 이상적 사랑의 자리는 책임분담을 완성하게 될 때 이루어집니다.

25 직접주관권이란 뭐냐? 사랑을 중심삼고 비로소 주체가 생기고 객체가 생겨나서 주체의 의도에 의한 객체의 환경권이 연결됩니다. 그러한 세계는 아담 가정 완성이자 전체의 완성입니다. 거기에는 사탄도 없고, 오늘날과 같은 타락한 세계도 없습니다. 책임분담권이라는 자리에는, 아담 해와를 지어 놓고 책임분담을 하라고 한 자리에는 사탄이 없었습니다.

26 원리결과주관권과 직접주관권 내에서 아담이 책임분담을 완성함으로써 아담 해와를 중심삼고 하나님이 임재하여 가정에서부터 참사랑의 정착 기지가 시작됩니다. 그 가정은 개인적인 가정이 아닙니다. 그 가정은 천주를 대표한 가정입니다. 세계를 대표한 가정입니다. 세계 국가를 대표한 가정이고, 세계 종족, 세계 가정, 세계 개인들을 대표한 가정입니다. 개인·가정·종족·민족·국가·세계·천주, 전부를 거꾸로 대표한 자리입니다. 밑에서부터 천주·세계·나라·민족·종족·가정·부부가 됩니다. 이 대표가 되어 여기에서 사랑을 중심삼고 하늘과 하나됨으로써 이 전체가 하늘 가정에 연결된 왕권시대로 전진할 것이었습니다.

27 하늘과 땅과 사람이 갈라진 것이 어디서 합하느냐? 남자가 사춘기까지 성숙하고 여자도 사춘기까지 배우고 성숙해서 결국은 남자를 알고 여자를 알게 됩니다. 여기에 와서 비로소 복수가 되기 때문에 복수로 연결됩니다. 그럼으로써 운동이 벌어집니다. 이 자리가 통일교회에서 말하는 5퍼센트 책임분담입니다. 이 자리는 하늘과 땅이 접하는 자리입니다. 세계가 횡적으로 접하는 자리요, 하늘땅이 종적으로 접하는 자리요, 전후로 우주 전부가 합하는 곳입니다. 남자 여자가 근원에서부터 갈라져서 출발했기 때문에 이곳으로 돌아가야 됩니다. 그렇기 때문에 여러분은 온 우주의 중심입니다. 가장 귀한 우주의 중심을 다시 한 번 찾아야 됩니다. 그 우주의 중심을 찾아가는 길은 돈도 아니고, 지식도 아니고, 권력도 아닙니다. 참사랑 외에는 없습니다.

28 남자와 여자는 천주의 압축된 핵입니다. 부부가 참사랑을 하는 데는 온 우주가 걸려듭니다. 남자와 여자는 사랑을 위해서 태어났습니다. 그렇기 때문에 직접주관권이 종적인 것입니다. 본래 인간은 종적으로 되어 있습니다. 책임분담을 완성함으로써 종적인 주인이 설정되고, 그다음에 횡적인 주인이 설정됩니다. 그것은 참사랑에 의해서 설정됩니다.

29 원리결과주관권에서 직접주관권으로 넘어가기 위해서는 반드시 성숙한 자리에서 부부의 사랑을 이루어야 됩니다. 그럼으로써 책임분담이 완성됩니다. 사랑 기준이 하나님과 절대적 기준에서 연결된 부부를 통해서 태어난 그 아들딸은 절대적인 혈연입니다. 그 기준을 목표로 해서 성사시켜 놓아야 할 책임이 인간에게 있습니다.

30 원리결과주관권과 직접주관권, 지상과 천상을 통일하고 심신을 통일하는 것이 책임분담 완성입니다. 하나님과 횡적인 참부모는 하나입니다. 거기에 있어서 통일된 사랑, 하늘과 지상을 연결하는 사랑, 몸과 마음이 하나된 사랑, 남자와 여자가 하나된 사랑이 문제입니다. 통일된 사랑의 기반을 닦음으로써 처음으로 하늘의 사랑과 하늘의 생명과 하늘의 혈통이 연결될 수 있고, 그것의 횡적인 확대가 팔방으로 전개됨으로써 왕권이 생기는 것입니다.

31 하나님이 아담 해와를 간섭하지 못한 것은 인간 책임분담이 있었기 때문입니다. 이들이 소생·장성 기간을 거쳐 완성의 자리인 직접주관권 내에서 축복을 받았더라면, 인간의 책임분담 5퍼센트를 완성했더라면 모든 것이 다 끝났을 것입니다. 거기서부터 새로운 출발, 개인적인 인생살이와 가정적인 인생살이가 시작되었을 것이고, 역사적인 모든 출발에 있어서 하나님의 뜻의 완성을 봤을 것입니다. 그랬더라면 거기서부터 참된 사랑을 중심삼은 하나님의 혈족 되는 참된 부모가 나와서 참된 가정, 참된 자녀를 이루어 종족·민족·국가를 편성해서 지상에 하나님이 소원하던 이상 실현의 국가가 이루어졌을 것입니다. 그것이 지상천국입니다.

32 아담 해와가 책임분담을 완수했더라면 우리에게는 한이라는 말이 남아지지 않았을 것입니다. 책임분담을 다하지 못한 까닭으로 우리의 역사과정에는 한스러운 길이 남아 있습니다. 만일 책임분담을 완수했더라면 인간과 천사세계, 전 피조세계는 기쁨과 영광 가운데서 하나님의 주관을 받게 되었을 것입니다. 이것이 원칙입니다. 책임분담 미완성으로 인해 사탄세계가 형성되었고, 이 땅이 사탄 주관권 내에 남아졌습니다. 이 책임분담 미완성으로 인해 하나님도 수고의 길을 지금까지 가려 나오고 있습니다. 이 책임분담은 어느 시대나 어떠한 개인이나 어떠한 민족이면 민족, 어떠한 세계에도 남아져 있습니다. 한 개인을 볼 때도 이 책임분담이라는 과제를 자기 생애를 중심삼고 언제나 앞에서 이미 추구하고 있습니다.

33 창조 위업을 경륜한 이후의 하나님은 완성의 뜻을 보지 못한 하나님입니다. 그 하나님을 모시고 나온 인류는 완성을 보지 못한 채 신음하고 있는 인류입니다. 그러면 어느 때에 하나님의 해방의 날이 올 것이냐? 어느 때 인류 해방의 날이 올 것이냐? 그 해방이라는 것은 책임분담을 중심삼고 와야 합니다. 그러지 않고는 인간이 바라는 이상세계, 통일교회가 바라는 지상천국 실현은 불가능합니다. 책임분담을 완성한 자리에 선 인간은 하나님과 같이 완전한 사람입니다. 하나님이 95퍼센트 창조했지만, 인간이 백 퍼센트 완성한 창조물의 자격을 부여받을 수 있는 자리에 서기 때문에 인간 완성이자 하나님 창조 위업의 완성이 되는 것입니다. 창조 위업의 완성이자 뜻의 완성이요, 뜻의 완성이자 하나님의 완성이 된다는 말입니다.

天聖経 (增) - 168. 責任分担とみ旨の成就

19  摂理には遂行すべき主体があり、遂行すべき対象があります。主体は神様であり、対象は人間です。その主体と対象が摂理のみ旨を中心として一つになって 完成しなければ、勝利の起源を探し出すことはできません。神様は、主体と対象が一つになるようにすればよいのに、なぜそうならないようにしたのでしょう か。それは人間の責任分担があるからです。人間の責任分担があるので、このような複雑な問題が延長されてきたのです。もし人間の責任分担がなかったなら ば、神様はいつでも勝利の歴史から、勝利の過程を経て、勝利の終着点まで進んだでしょう。

20  堕落した子孫である皆さんには、責任分担圏が残っています。個人的な責任分担を中心として見るとき、個人的な原理結果主管圏で個人完成して神様の愛と 連結し、神様と直接的な愛の関係を結べる個人的な直接主管圏の基盤をもったかと言えば、もてなかったのです。蕩減復帰は、サタンを分立するために必要で す。サタンを分立しなければ責任分担を果たすことができません。そのため、責任分担の道を歩んで成熟し、十七、十八歳になれば、男性に絶対に必要なのが女 性であり、女性に絶対に必要なのが男性であるということを知らなければなりません。

21  神様はなぜ、人間に責任分担の期間を与えたのでしょうか。どうして神様は責任分担という過程を中心として、互いに接近しなければならないようにしたの でしょうか。なぜ、一つの共同目的である創造の偉業完成という課題を完成させるべく、一時を願いながら行かなければならないのでしょうか。それはほかでも ない、愛のためなのです。

青年の男女は思春期を迎えますが、霊的にも肉的にも完全に成熟し、花が咲くときが思春期です。思春期は、十八歳を前後して人間に必ず訪れます。その思春期 において、霊的な人と肉的な人がいれば、それらが一つになって花を咲かせるのです。万物の中心である人間がその香りを漂わせれば、このすべての宇宙が和動 できる、一つの春の季節を迎える環境になったでしょう。その春の季節は、人間の春の季節であると同時に神様の春の季節です。神様が喜ぶ中で香りを嗅ぎ、歌 を歌いながら「うれしい」と言うことができれば、そこで初めて、神様の完成的理想生活圏が出発したでしょう。

22  愛の中心は人間ではなく、どこまでも神様です。そのため原理において責任分担の完成は、人間の愛と神様の愛が一つになることを意味します。神様の愛は 永遠の愛なので、永遠の愛を中心として相対の位置で一つになるのは、永遠の一体を成就することなのです。そこに分立はあり得ません。

23  アダム一人の責任分担の完成によって、個人の責任分担の完成だけでなく、家庭、氏族、民族、国家、世界、天宙の責任分担を完成できる基盤が、その一代 において築かれます。そうすれば、アダムの子孫は責任分担完成圏に立つため、天の国の直接統治を受けることのできる世界史的な基準に立つようになります。 そこには世界責任分担や国家責任分担というものは残っていません。アダム完成とともに世界責任分担が完成します。責任分担を完成することにより、原理結果 主管圏と直接主管圏が連結されるのです。

24  直接主管圏と原理結果主管圏が連結されたその道、その接線は愛によって始まります。それが連結されるため、愛によって連結される愛の橋が生じるので す。神様と人間の間に愛の橋が初めて生じるのです。

しかし、責任分担を完成していない場所では、人間と神様の愛に本来の理想的な橋が架かりません。理想的な愛の場は、責任分担を完成するときに成されるので す。

25  直接主管圏とは何でしょうか。愛を中心として初めて主体が生じ、客体が生じて、主体の意図による客体の環境圏が連結されます。そのような世界は、アダ ム家庭の完成であり、全体の完成です。そこにはサタンも存在せず、今日のような堕落した世界もありません。アダムとエバを造って「責任分担を果たしなさ い」と言った場には、サタンがいなかったのです。

26  原理結果主管圏と直接主管圏内でアダムが責任分担を完成することにより、アダムとエバを中心として神様が臨在し、家庭から真の愛の定着基地が始まりま す。

その家庭は、個人的家庭ではありません。その家庭は、天宙を代表した家庭です。世界を代表した家庭です。世界国家を代表した家庭であり、世界氏族、世界家 庭、世界個人を代表した家庭です。

個人、家庭、氏族、民族、国家、世界、天宙、すべて逆さまに代表した立場です。下から天宙、世界、国、民族、氏族、家庭、夫婦になります。この代表になっ て、ここから愛を中心として天と一つになることにより、この全体が天の家庭に連結された王権時代に前進するはずだったのです。

27  天と地と人が分かれたのですが、どこで合わさるのでしょうか。男性が思春期まで成熟し、女性も思春期まで学んで成熟し、結局は男性を知り、女性を知る ようになるのです。ここに来て初めて複数になるので、複数で連結されるのです。そのようにすることによって運動が始まります。この場が統一教会で言う五 パーセントの責任分担です。この場は天と地が接する場です。世界が横的に接する場であり、天地が縦的に接する場であり、宇宙すべてが前後に合わさる所で す。男性と女性が根源から分かれて出発したので、ここに帰らなければなりません。ですから、皆さんは全宇宙の中心です。最も貴い宇宙の中心をもう一度探さ なければなりません。その宇宙の中心を探し求めていく道は、お金でもなく、知識でもなく、権力でもありません。真の愛のほかにはないのです。

28  男性と女性は天宙の圧縮された核です。夫婦が真の愛で愛する所には、全宇宙が引っ掛かってきます。男性と女性は愛のために生まれました。ですから、直 接主管圏は縦的なのです。本来、人間は縦的になっています。責任分担を完成することによって縦的な主人が設定され、次に横的な主人が設定されます。それは 真の愛によって設定されるのです。

29  原理結果主管圏から直接主管圏に越えていくためには、必ず成熟した位置で夫婦の愛を完成させなければなりません。そのようにすることによって、責任分 担が完成します。愛の碁準が神様と絶対的基準で連結された夫婦を通して生まれたその息子、娘は、絶対的な血縁です。その基準を目標にして、果たしておかな ければならない責任が人間にあるのです。

30  原理結果主管圏と直接主管圏、地上と天上を統一し、心身を統一することは責任分担の完成です。神様と横的な真の父母は一つです。そこにおいて統一され た愛、天と地を連結する愛、体と心が一つになった愛、男性と女性が一つになった愛が問題です。統一された愛の基盤を築くことにより、初めて天の愛と天の生 命と天の血統が連結され、その横的な拡大が八方に展開することによって王権が生じるのです。

31  神様がアダムとエバに干渉できなかったのは、人間の責任分担があったからです。彼らが蘇生、長成の期間を経て、完成圏を通過して直接主管圏内で祝福を 受け、人間の責任分担五パーセントを完成していたならば、すべて終わっていたでしょう。そこから新しい出発、個人的な人生と家庭的な人生が始まり、歴史的 なすべての出発において、神様のみ旨が完成したでしょう。そのようになっていたならば、そこから真の愛を中心とした神様の血族となる真の父母が出てきて、 真の家庭と真の子女が生まれ、氏族、民族、国家を編成して地上に神様の願った理想実現の国家が形成されたでしょう。それが地上天国です。

32  アダムとエバが責任分担を完遂していたならば、私たちには恨という言葉が残されていなかったでしょう。責任分担を果たせなかったがゆえに、私たちの歴 史過程には恨めしい道が残っているのです。もし責任分担を完遂していたならば、人間と天使世界、全被造世界は、喜びと栄光の中で神様の主管を受けることに なっていたでしょう。これが原則です。責任分摺の未完成によってサタン世界が形成され、この地がサタン主管圏内に残されたのです。この責任分担の未完成に よって、神様も苦労の道を今まで選んできているのです。この責任分担は、いかなる時代にも、いかなる個人にも、いかなる民族にも、いかなる世界にも残され ています。一個人を見るときも、この責任分担という課題が、自分の生涯を中心として、いつも目の前にあるのです。それが「私」に対して責任を果たすよう追 及しているというのです。

33  創造の偉業を経綸したあとの神様は、完成のみ旨を目にすることのできなかった神様です。その神様に侍ってきた人類は、完成を目にすることができないま ま呻吟している人類です。それでは、いつ神様の解放の日が来るのでしょうか。いつ人類の解放の日が来るのでしょうか。その解放というのは、責任分担を中心 として来なければなりません。そうでなくては、人間が願う理想世界、統一教会が願う地上天国実現は不可能です。

責任分担を完成した位置に立った人間は、神様のように完全な人間です。神様が九五パーセント創造したのですが、人間は一〇〇パーセント完成した創造主の資 格を賦与される立場に立つため、人間の完成であるとともに神様の創造の偉業の完成になるのです。創造の偉業の完成であるとともにみ旨の完成であり、み旨の 完成であるとともに神様の完成になるのです。

19 Fulfilling the providential Will requires a subject partner and an object partner. The subject partner is God. The object partners are human beings. The object partners must unite with the subject partner centered on the providential Will; otherwise there can be no basis for victory. Why did God not create the object partners in oneness with the subject partner, rather than creating them to have to become one? It is because of the human portion of responsibility. It is because of this that complex problems have been passed down through the ages. If we did not have this portion of responsibility, God would have started with a victorious history, followed a victorious course and would have already arrived at the final destination in triumph. 20 The realm of responsibility remains with you, the descendants of the Fall. If you ask whether you have accomplished your individual responsibility, through the Principle, to reach a level of perfection that qualifies you to connect to God’s love in the realm of His direct dominion, the answer is no. Restoration through indemnity is necessary in order to separate Satan from human beings. Unless you separate yourself from Satan, it is impossible to complete your portion of responsibility. You should know, however, that if you had followed the path of responsibility and reached maturity at about the age of seventeen or eighteen, as a man you would absolutely need a woman, and as a woman you would absolutely need a man. 21 Why did God give human beings a period of time for fulfilling their portion of responsibility? Why did He make it such that God and human beings meet each other through the process of fulfilling their portions of responsibility? Why is it that both God and humans hope to reach a time when they achieve their common goal of fulfilling the great work of creation? It is for love, nothing less. Maturity is the time when young people are supposed to come into full bloom, spiritually as well as physically. Human beings reach maturity at around the age of eighteen. If an individual’s physical self and spirit self are united, at the time of maturity he or she fully blossoms, spiritually and physically, as God intended. Human beings are the center of the created world. Had they put forth fragrant blossoms, the whole universe would have entered the season of spring. It would have been springtime for human beings and for God. Responding to their spring fragrance, God would have sung and danced, expressing His joy. Had this happened, the realm of God’s perfect ideal life would have begun right there, for the first time. (130-020, 1983.12.11)

22 No matter what, the center of love is not human beings, but God. Thus in the Principle, the completion of the human portion of responsibility means that our human love becomes one with God’s love. God’s love is eternal; hence, when we become one with God as His partners centered on His eternal love, it creates oneness with God that is eternal. In that state we will never separate from Him. 23 By completing his portion of responsibility, Adam would have not only fulfilled his individual responsibility but also would have laid, in his one generation, the foundation for the fulfillment of the responsibilities of the family, tribe, people, nation, world and cosmos. Then Adam’s descendants would have stood in the realm where they could complete their historical portions of responsibility on the world level, under the direct governance of the heavenly kingdom. In such a place there would have been no world- level or national-level portion of responsibility remaining ahead of us. Adam’s perfection naturally would have led to the fulfillment of the world-level portion of responsibility. His completing the human portion of responsibility would have connected the realm of dominion based on accomplishments through the Principle to the realm of God’s direct dominion. 24 Love is the starting point of the path connecting the realm of indirect dominion to the realm of God’s direct dominion. The connection is made by love and creates a bridge of love between God and human beings. Only through that connection does the bridge of love appear. If we do not fulfill our portion of responsibility, the original ideal bridge of love between God and human beings cannot be built. Ideal love is realized only when we fulfill our portion of responsibility. (148-148, 1986.10.08)

25 What is the realm of God’s direct dominion? Based on love, God finally comes to function as the subject partner, and each being emerges centered on that love. This creates a realm in which each and every being is connected, according to the desire of the subject partner. Such a world would be perfection, from the perfection of Adam’s family to the perfection of the whole. In that world there would be no Satan; it would not be the fallen world we experience today. In fact, in the realm where Adam and Eve were first given their portion of responsibility to fulfill, Satan did not exist. (148-283, 1986.10.25)

26 Once Adam and Eve complete their portion of responsibility within the realm of indirect dominion and enter the realm of God’s direct dominion, God will dwell with them. Then the actualization of true love will begin, starting in their family. That family is not just an individual family; it represents the entire cosmos and the entire world. It is a family that represents all the world’s nations and all the world’s peoples, tribes, families and individuals. Thus, that family stands representing individuals, families, tribes, peoples, nations, the world and cosmos in reverse order. From the bottom up they constitute the cosmos, world, nation, people, tribe, family, and couple. When, centering on love, these representatives become one with Heaven, they will establish a kingdom where everyone lives as one interconnected heavenly family. (204-283, 1990.07.11)

27 Heaven, earth and human beings are all divided; where can we reconnect them? A boy grows to maturity, a girl also learns many things and grows to maturity, and then they finally come to know each other as a man and woman. At this point, they have become two connected together and acting as one. The 5-percent portion of responsibility described in the Unification Church entails reaching this state. It is the state where heaven and earth unite. It is the place where the world unites as one horizontally and where heaven and earth join as one vertically, where everything in the universe joins as alpha and omega. Man and woman were divided from the origin; hence they must return to that one point. We are the very center of the universe, but we have to recover that most precious central point. The path to recovering that position is not by money, knowledge or power. It is by nothing other than true love. (228-081, 1992.03.15)

28 Man and woman are the nucleus of the cosmos; they are the cosmos in microcosm. When husband and wife share true love, the entire universe is involved. Man and woman were born for the sake of love. The realm of God’s direct dominion is vertical; human beings were originally created to be vertical. When they fulfill their portion of responsibility, they can secure their position as owners in their vertical relationships and then as owners in their horizontal relationships. This is accomplished through true love. (218-136, 1991.07.14)

29 In order to move from the realm of indirect dominion into the realm of God’s direct dominion, we need to reach full maturity and then marry. By doing so, we fulfill our portion of responsibility. Children born of couples who are connected to God according to this absolute standard are children of God’s absolute lineage. It is our responsibility as human beings to set this as our goal and achieve it. (171-262, 1998.01.02)

30 To fulfill our responsibility we must unite the realm of indirect dominion and the realm of God’s direct dominion, unite the earthly and heavenly worlds, and unite our own minds and bodies. God and the horizontal True Parents are one. The issue is how to attain oneness in love that connects heaven and earth, love in which body and mind are one, and love that joins man and woman. Attaining oneness in love is the foundation that connects us to God’s love, life and lineage for the first time. When it is expanded and developed horizontally in all directions, the right of kingship arises. (218-124, 1991.07.14)

31 The reason God could not intervene with Adam and Eve is because of the human portion of responsibility. If only Adam and Eve had fulfilled their 5-per- cent human portion of responsibility by going through the formation and growth periods and receiving the Blessing in the state of perfection, the realm of God’s direct dominion, everything would have been completed. That would have been the new beginning of their individual life and family life, and God would have seen the completion of His Will at the beginning of history. Had that happened, Adam and Eve would have emerged as the True Parents of true love, of God’s lineage. They would have brought forth true children, a true tribe, a true people and a true nation. The nation they would have formed would have been the ideal nation of God’s desire. It would have been the kingdom of heaven on earth. (252-227, 1994.01.01) 

32 If Adam and Eve had fulfilled their portion of responsibility, we would never utter the words “bitter sorrow.” Due to their inability to fulfill that responsibility, the footsteps of bitter sorrow remain in the course of history. If only they had fulfilled their portion of responsibility, human beings, the angelic world and the entire created world would have come under the dominion of God, amid joy and glory. This was heavenly law. Instead, due to human beings’ failure to fulfill their portion of responsibility, Satan’s world was formed, and this earth still remains under Satan’s dominion. Due to human beings’ inability to fulfill their responsibility, even God has been toiling hard, enduring a painful course to this day. Responsibility remains in every age, for the individual, the people and the world. Each individual must, during his or her life course, seek out and fulfill that portion of responsibility. 33 Although God accomplished the great work of creation, He has been unable to see the fruition of His Will. Although human beings have served God throughout history, they still moan in pain, unable to see the completion of the Will. When will the day of God’s liberation come? When will the day of humanity’s liberation come? That liberation depends on the fulfillment of the portion of responsibility. Otherwise, the ideal world that humanity longs for is impossible, and the kingdom of heaven on earth that the Unification Church seeks to realize is impossible. People who have fulfilled their portion of responsibility are perfect as God is perfect. God contributed 95 percent in creating them, but only when people accomplish their 5-percent portion of responsibility do they qualify as perfected created beings. Therefore, fulfilling our responsibility leads to human perfection and also to the perfection of God’s great work of creation. Completing the great work of creation means the fulfillment of God’s Will, and the fulfillment of God’s Will means the perfection of God Himself. (130-019, 1983.12.11)
