Example: M: Are you going to pay back William for the diner he bought you? W: When pigs fly! Why should I? He still owes me for the ski trip last year! M: I still think you should pay him. It's only ten dollars. W: That's not the point, the point is, he still owes me from last year!
Definition: This means no chance, no way, impossible. Explanation: This idiom is actually straight forward in its explanation. Pigs are not able to fly. So when a person says when pigs fly, they are saying not a chance or impossible. In English, we also say, "don't make me laugh." Koreans say, "Don't laugh." (웃기지마 translated)
