Hosted by international dance artist Belynda Azhaar (http://AzhaarDance.com/) this meet-up is for ANYONE interested in the food, music, dance, and culture of the Middle East. This is a family-friendly, alcohol-free event.


WHAT TO EXPECT: Attendees will learn about and experience the culture, food, music, and dance of the Arab world. We will enjoy delicious Arabian cuisine, followed by an open dance floor where guests can learn and practice some basic bellydance moves. We also provide an opportunity for dancers of any level - students through to professionals - to perform in front of a (supportive) live audience, so guests may be blessed with a performance or two during the night. ;-) Please note that our haflas focus on providing an educational, interactive cultural experience, as opposed to entertainment.

DRESS CODE: casual (Bring your hip scarf if you have one!)

DINNER:
1. Cold meza (dip), pita bread (1 per person) and salad.
2. Main dish:
Mixed Kebab (Chicken/Lamb)
or
Couscous Vegetables & Falafel (vegetarian)
3. Dessert: mixed fruit and tea 



DIRECTIONS:
Petra is located on the hill overlooking Noksapyeong subway station (opposite McDonalds in Itaewon) on the same street as Tony's Aussie Bar & Bistro and Berlin.

From Itaewon station (line 6, exit 1 = KFC/Hamilton Hotel exit):
Walk towards Noksapyeong station/Samgakchi (towards KFC, Burger King, KEB bank, post office, etc.) When you see the "Harubang" shop walk up the hill (if you keep walking and go under the blue "Welcome to Itaewon" arch then you've walked too far.) Go up this road and at the top of the hill you will see Berlin, New Palace Andalous, and Tony's Aussie Bar. Keep walking, go around the corner and down the hill. Look for the (steep) wooden steps on your right - that's the entrance to Petra Restaurant. Go up the steps and through the door on your right.

From Noksapyeong station (line 6, exit 1):
Cross the road and walk up the stairs to the pedestrian bridge. At the end of the bridge is Cha-dol House (Korean restaurant) - turn right and walk up the hill. Look for the (steep) wooden steps on your left - that's the entrance to Petra Restaurant. Go up the steps and through the door on your right.

위치: 지하철 6호선 녹사평 1번 출구로 나와바로 이태원방면으로 있는 육교를 건너 언덕 방향으로 1분정도 걸으면주택 2층에 'PETRA'이라는 백색 간판이 보임!
