35. The language of love flowing from God!
Now, we have decided to start preparing in earnest for the ‘Barnabas Foundation 10th Anniversary Joint Mission Convention’ to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the ‘Barnabas Foundation’ that we have been planning for a year. After looking into churches in Seoul that have the best transportation and can accommodate over 5,000 people, we found that Y Church allowed us to use their church, so we were preparing step by step to hold the 3-day convention there.
And along with the special fundraising, we invited leaders from each denomination and Christian organization, and received applications from 2,000 missionaries around the world and 4,100 domestic branches. As a result, 3,500 branch representatives out of 6,100 branches applied to participate, and a total of over 5,000 people, including 1,000 local lay leaders who have not spared their volunteer and missionary dedication, participated in the largest missionary conference in Korea. It was not a conference that stopped at just gathering missionaries, but a conference where we devoted ourselves again, introduced cases, and headed toward the shadowy places. Then, we headed toward those places and looked for ways for all of us to help and build them up so that we could show the Lord’s love to those dark and shady places as an influence. This became our goal until the next missionary conference, and it became a mission field and a ministry site, and it was also an opportunity to open up new ministry sites.
I gave the last lecture on the last day of this missionary conference, and the 5,000 people gathered in one place! No, he conveyed the following message along with his final greetings to all 10,000 co-workers of the Barnabas Foundation around the world who could not participate.
“Dear Barnabas Foundation members around the world!
And to all the volunteers who have devoted themselves to volunteer work,
I thank you for your hard work and dedication over the past 10 years.
Because of you,
the Barnabas Foundation exists today,
and has grown this much.
And because of you, we have been able to give that strength to more missionaries.
When I was sent as a missionary 45 years ago and arrived in the field,
everything was new and low.
On top of that, due to the lack of sponsorship funds,
we experienced many difficulties,
and were unable to carry out any ministry.
So I had no choice but to connect with an NGO, and
The representative is here,
But through that,
I received a lot of training and training,
And influenced by that,
I came to think of the ‘Barnabas Foundation’ and these ministries,
And that’s how I came to this point.
I am now going to step down from my role as Secretary General.
I think it is right to end here now,
So that younger and more capable workers can come forward and continue
More effectively.
And I will go back to ‘Molisha’, the country I was first sent to,
And go to the place where the children of the students who were studying at the ‘Numbak Hope School’, which seemed like it would collapse,
And I will do the remaining work that I can do,
And I will bury my bones in that land.
That was my first decision, and I think it is the final mission that God has given me.
So now, I am going to go back there.
And while I am doing that, I think about one thing.
What is ministry?
Fundamentally, everyone wants to live well while they are on this earth.
So they think that being praised by others,
and doing well in whatever they do,
and living a long and healthy life is happiness.
However, the Bible repeatedly tells us that God’s way is different.
A beautiful appearance and a good appearance are important,
but if you have an influential appearance,
I think that is more valuable.
So if a person wants to live a valuable life,
If they think about the time of death, not now,
they will want to live a valuable life.
So if all of us
all of us here,
all of us who work with the Barnabas Foundation
think about how I will die?
Or how I want to die?
We will live a valuable life
and do valuable work.
So I would like to greet you by sharing this message with you.
Thank you.”
