Safety first in Product Design! A select group of advanced Product Design students have started a unit on metalworking, which will include grinding, polishing, cutting, and welding under the supervision of Mr. Shanks (our resident metals expert) and Mr. Schmidt. Metalwork tools produce a lot of sparks and heat, so leather gloves, aprons, and face-shields are essential. As part of their Product Design class, students are encouraged to come up with creative products that meet different needs. We can't wait to see the class's final pieces!
