8) 부모의 사랑의 위력 - 1

일생 동안 자식을 위해서 사랑의 줄을 매 가지고 사는 부모는 피땀을 흘리고 등이 구부러지고 외모가 아무리 비참해도 그 마음세계에 타오르는 소망은 아무도 꺾을 수 없습니다.

부딪히는 어려움이 아무리 강하더라도 그걸 뚜벅뚜벅 밟고 넘어갈 수 있는 위대한 힘이 거기에 있는 것입니다. 그래요, 안 그래요? 「맞습니다.」 맞는 말입니다. (175-209) 

자기가 망하든 어쩌든간에, 흥망의 요건을 넘어서 가지고 책임질 수 있는 자리, 죽고 사는 문제를 초월해 가지고 책임질 수 있는 자리에서 남아질 수 있는 사랑의 계층이 도대체 인간사회의 어디이냐? 어디가 그 기점이 되겠느냐?

그것은 남녀지간의 사랑도 아니요, 형제지간의 사랑도 아닙니다. 나라를 위한 사랑도 아니요, 세계를 위한 사랑도 아닙니다. 그 자리를 찾고 또 찾아보아도 이것은 부모가 자식을 사랑하는 자리 외에는 없다. 이렇게 되는 것입니다.

8) 父母の愛の威力 - 1

一生の間子どものために愛の絆を結んで生きる父母は、血と汗を流して背が曲がり、外見がいくら悲惨でも、その心の世界に燃え上がる希望はだれもへし折ることができません。

打ち寄せる困難がいかに激しいものでも、それをこつこつと踏み越えていける偉大な力がそこにあるのです。そうですか、そうではないですか。（その通りです）。そうなのです。（一九八八・四・一七、本部教会）

自分が滅ぼうがどうなろうが、興亡の要件を超えて責任を負える立場、生死の問題を超越して責任を持つことのできる立場で残されうる愛の階層は、いったい人間社会のどこでしょうか。どこがその起点になるでしょうか 。

それは男女間の愛でもなく、兄弟間の愛でもありません。国のための愛でもなく、世界のための愛でもありません。その立場を捜しに捜してみても、これは父母が子どもを愛する立場のほかにはない、このようになるのです。

8) The Force of the Love of Parents - 1

Parents hold a bond of love with their children throughout their whole life and have hope in their hearts even if they have shed tears and blood, and their appearance might be miserable. 

Even if there are difficulties, they have the power to step over it and overcome. Isn't that so? (Yes, that's right) It is right. (175-209)  

So, whether you perish or not, the position you can take is one of responsibility, rising above the conditions of prosperity or perishing.

Where is this class of love in human society, where you can remain, taking responsibility and rising above the problems of life and death? Where is that starting point?

It is not in the love between a man and a woman, nor in the love between brothers. It is not love for the nation, nor for the world.

When we seek for it, we will know that it cannot be but in the parents' love for children. This is the answer.
