  Class 1 : Se-gu(世久,세구 -Continuity)... Continuing through generations for a long time... Article 286.

世久(세구)는 여러 대를 거듭하여 내려오면서 착함을 행하는 것이다.

  Se-gu(世久,세구 - Generational Continuity) means practicing goodness continuously

   over multiple generations.

일년을 자란 나무는 일년 동안의 은혜(露,로)을 받는다.

  A tree that grows for one year receives grace(Ro / dew) for one year.

십년을 자란 나무는 십년 동안의 은혜(露,로)을 받는다.

    A tree that grows for ten years receives grace(Ro / dew) for ten year.

거듭되는 은혜(露,로)를 받아 열매를 맺으면 가히 이어지는 복을 받을 수 있게 된다.

  When it bears ftuit by receiving repeated grace(Ro),

  one becomes capable of receiving continuous blessings.

世久者는 累世行善也 (세구자는 누세행선야)

   Se-gu(世久,세구 - Generational Continuity) means practicing goodness continuously

   over successive generations.

一年之木은 受一年之露하고 (일년지목은 수일년지로하고)

  A tree of one year receives grace( Ro / dew) for one year,

十年之木은 受十年之露하니 (십년지목은 수십년지로하니)

  A tree of ten years receives grace for the years;

重露結實이면 可領次福이니라. (중로결실이면 가령차복이니라.)

  If it bears fruit through accumulated grace,

  one becomes eligible to receive successive blessings(Cha-bok).

착함을 행하는 것도 오랜 세월을 두고 대를 이어 티끌이 모여 山(산)이 되는 것 처럼 하는 것이
잠깐 동안 반짝하는 것과 같을 수가 없다.
  Practicing goodness over a long period of time across generations―just as dust gathers to form

  a mountain ―can never be compared to merely flashing brightly for a brief moment.
