천성경 (증) - 181. 축복의 기원과 가치

10 인류조상인 아담 해와가 타락했다는 것을 우리는 성경을 통해서 배웠습니다. 타락했다는 것은 떨어졌다는 것이요, 떨어졌다는 것은 불합격했다는 것을 의미합니다. 즉 병이 났다는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 인류역사는 기쁨의 역사가 아니라 슬픔과 눈물의 역사로 출발했습니다. 그러한 자리가 복 될 수 없는 자리임은 틀림없습니다. 축복이라는 말은 어디서부터 시작해야 되느냐? 축복의 역사는 아담 해와로부터 시작해야 될 것입니다. 축복받는 사람과 축복하는 사람이 있는데, 축복받는 사람이 아담 해와라면 축복하는 분은 하나님입니다. 그렇기 때문에 하나님을 중심삼고 인간이 축복을 받아야 되고, 하나님은 축복을 해줘야 됩니다. 하나님이 축복을 해줌으로써 그 축복이 끊어지는 것이 아니라 하나님으로부터 연결되어 인간과 관계를 갖기 때문에, 그 축복은 하나님의 것이 되는 동시에 인간의 것이 됩니다.

11 아담 해와가 장성기 완성급에서 타락했기 때문에, 복귀노정에 있어서도 부모로 말미암아 복귀해 들어갈 수 있는 축복의 기원이 되는 곳은 장성기 완성급입니다. 여기서 축복을 받는 것입니다. 또 축복을 받은 다음 거기서 완성 단계의 기준에 서려면 7년이라는 기간을 거쳐야 합니다. 이 과정은 선생님 자신도 거쳐야 되고 여러분도 거쳐야 됩니다. 우리는 모두가 이 과정을 거쳐야 되는 공동운명을 가졌습니다.

12 축복이라는 말은 통일교회로부터 시작된 것이 아닙니다. 이 말은 지금까지 하나님이 복귀섭리를 해 나오면서 마음속에 지니고 이것이 실천되기를 바라며 나왔습니다. 하나님이 에덴동산에서 아담 해와를 창조하고 그들에게 축복해 주며 그 뜻이 이뤄지기를 바라던 것도 역시 마찬가지였습니다. 그 축복을 아직까지 그 누구도 실천하지 못했습니다. 이처럼 하나님은 서글픈 입장에서 축복이 실천되기를 소원 중의 소원으로 고대하면서 지금까지 역사과정을 거쳐 나왔습니다. 4천년의 역사과정을 거친 후 하나님이 본래부터 주고 싶었던 축복을 최후로 결행하기 위해서 예수님을 이 땅에 보냈습니다. 하나님은 그러한 섭리역사를 했지만, 예수님 역시 그 축복의 자리까지 나아가지 못하고 십자가에 돌아갔습니다. 그 이후에도 기독교 역사과정 속에서 많은 기독교인들이 순교의 피를 흘리면서 싸워 나왔지만 아직까지도 그 하나님의 소원을 풀지 못했습니다. 그러한 소원의 한 날을 찾기 위해서 하나님이 지금까지 수난길을 걸어왔지만 아직까지 그날을 찾지 못하였습니다. 그러기에 이 한 날을 찾는다면 그날은 역사적인 해원성사를 할 수 있는 날이요, 하나님의 역사적인 소원을 성취하는 날입니다.

13 타락이 장성기 완성급에서 되었기 때문에 이것을 원상으로 회복하기 위해서는 타락한 반대의 경로를 통해서 되돌아가지 않으면 안 됩니다. 아담 해와는 사랑의 문제를 중심삼고 타락했기 때문에 우리의 복귀노정에 있어서도 그 기준에 도달했다면 반드시 사랑의 문제를 중심으로 해서 넘어가지 않으면 안 됩니다. 지금까지는 사탄의 부모로부터 사랑을 받고 있었기 때문에 사랑의 문제를 극복하려면 하나님의 사랑을 중심으로 한 참부모의 사랑에 연결되어야 합니다. 그러지 않으면 이것을 극복할 길이 없습니다. 그러므로 타락한 부모의 혈통을 이어받은 타락권에 있는 인류는 최후에는 부모를 맞아 종적으로 하나되어 타락권을 극복하는 길을 더듬어 가지 않으면 안 됩니다. 이것이 원리의 입장입니다. 이것을 극복하는 것은 혼자서는 할 수 없습니다. 반드시 남녀가 짝짓지 않으면 안 됩니다. 이것이 통일교회에서 하고 있는 축복입니다. 그러므로 축복은 자기 나름대로 해서는 안 됩니다. 종적 중심인 부모를 중심으로 해야 됩니다.

14 인간이 타락함으로 인해 먼저 만물을 잃어버렸습니다. 그리고 실체가 사탄에게 더럽혀졌습니다. 그리고 심정을 빼앗겨 버렸습니다. 이 모두를 탕감복귀하지 않으면 안 됩니다. 만물의 문제, 실체의 문제, 심정의 문제를 완전히 하나님을 중심으로 해서 해결하여 완성기간을 통과하지 않으면 완성 기준에 도달할 수 없습니다. 이것이 원리원칙입니다. 만물을 복귀하지 않으면 안 되고, 실체를 복귀하지 않으면 안 됩니다. 그리고 심정을 복귀하지 않으면 안 됩니다. 이것을 횡적으로 보면 만물은 소생이고 실체는 장성이며 심정은 완성입니다.

15 인간은 축복이라는 말에 최고의 의미를 부여합니다. 이 세상 사람들은 자기 사업이 잘되면 축복을 받았다, 복을 받았다고 말합니다. 혹은 좋은 아들딸을 가졌으면 그 사람 복 받았다고 합니다. 축복을 받는 사람은 남자 여자입니다. 남자에게 최고의 복이 무엇이고, 여자에게 최고의 복이 무엇이냐? 첫째는 생명의 인연이 맺어질 수 있는 자리에서 사랑의 인연이 출발합니다. 이것이 가장 귀합니다. 그다음에는 생명이 인간만의 것이 아니라 생명의 중심 되는 영원한 하나님의 생명과 결속되고, 사랑이 우리만의 사랑이 아니라 영원한 하나님의 사랑과 결속되어 사랑의 이상을 이어받을 수 있는 자리가 최대 축복의 자리입니다. 그 기반 위에 이상을 그려 가는 삶이 축복입니다.

16 축복은 천지부모의 인연을 내가 계승받는 것이고 상속받는 것입니다. 천지부모의 인연, 하나님을 중심삼고 천지를 창조해서 아담 해와와 맺으려던 심정적 인연이 맺어지지 못했던 것이 맺어짐으로써 천세만세에 후손을 번식하게 됩니다. 그리하여 천세만세에 하나의 세계를 만들려고 했지만 그것이 되지 않았는데, 그것을 다시 계승한다는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 아버지 어머니를 대신 계승받는 자리입니다. 아버지 어머니가 지금까지 사탄세계에서 싸워 승리한 영광스러운 훈장과 훈패와 모든 위업, 승리했던 위업, 그 간판을 전부 씌워 상속하는 것입니다.

17 역사 이래 가정적 구도의 도리를 비로소 체계적으로 잡아 놓은 곳은 통일교회뿐입니다. 그래서 통일교회를 믿는 사람은 가정이 구원을 받고 천국에 들어갈 수 있는 것입니다. 이러한 가정을 이루는 행사가 합동결혼식입니다. 세상에서 비웃고 별의별 소리를 다 하지만, 이 축복의 내용이 얼마나 멋지고 얼마나 놀라운 것인지 그들은 모르고 있습니다. 우리는 천륜과 인륜, 천정과 인정이 합한 참아들딸의 모습으로 참장남과 참장녀의 위치에서 가정을 이루고 하나님을 중심한 지상생활을 할 수 있어야 합니다. 이렇게 될 때 이 땅 위에 태어난 참된 인간으로서의 목적을 완성하고, 하나님이 인간을 창조하신 소기의 목적이 달성됩니다. 이 길이 참사람이 가야 할 길입니다.

18 우리는 지금까지 복귀의 인연을 따라 에덴에서 타락하던 아담 해와보다 높은 가치를 지니고 참된 부모의 공적의 터전 위에 서게 되었습니다. 그렇기 때문에 우리는 예수님이 갖지 못한 민족의 기준을 대신할 수 있고, 종족의 기준을 대신할 수 있고, 가정의 기준을 대신할 수 있고, 부부의 기준을 대신할 수 있는 권내에 있습니다. 그런 권내에서 부모의 말과 생활과 심정에 절대 일치하는 신앙 기준을 따라가면 무난히 하나님 앞에 축복받을 수 있습니다.

19 여러분이 누구를 중심 삼고 축복을 받을 수 있습니까? 부모입니다. 절대적으로 믿을 수 있는 참부모입니다. ‘나는 참부모의 인연을 중심삼은 피 살을 갖고 나왔다. 어떠한 힘도 이 인연을 끊을 수 없다.’라고 할 수 있는 절대적인 신념을 갖지 않고 축복을 받으면 벌 받습니다. 앞으로 여러분이 이 조건에 걸려 넘어가는 날에는 비참해질 것입니다. 여러분은 역사를 대표하고 선한 조상들을 대표해서 나타났습니다. 선한 조상들과 이 시대의 자기 종족을 대표해서 나타난 엄숙한 자리에 있다는 것입니다.

20 부모의 사랑을 통해서 완전히 부활된 자신이 손끝에서 발끝까지 살아 있는 자체를 느끼면서 감사할 수 있는 자리에 서야만 하늘로 돌아갈 수 있습니다. 그런데 발끝에 별의별 것이 다 얽매여 있으니 여러분은 이러한 현실을 박차고 넘어가지 않으면 안 됩니다. 그 길이 아무리 천신만고의 수난길이라 해도 건너가야 할 운명길인데, 가지 하나도 붙잡을 수 없는 꽉 막힌 과정에서 지금까지 그 구렁텅이에 떨어져 죽은 사람이 얼마나 많았습니까? 거기에서 수많은 개인과 가정이, 종족이 망했고, 수많은 나라가 망했습니다. 그 벼랑에서 전부 죽어 갔다는 것입니다. 그렇지만 그 벼랑이 있는 골짜기에 다리를 놓아 줄 수 있다면 그것은 나라를 주고도 바꿀 수 없고 이 세계를 주고도 바꿀 수 없습니다. 이런 고귀한 가치의 인연이 참부모로 말미암아 이루어졌다는 사실은 천지를 한꺼번에 갖다 준 것보다도 더 귀한 것입니다.

21 여러분의 피 속에는 사탄의 피가 준동하고 있습니다. 그러기에 하나님이 가까이할 수 있는 모든 요소를 갖추지 못한 자기 자신의 부끄러움을 자탄하고, 이것을 저주하고 밟고 난 후에 이 자리에 와야 합니다. 그런데 여러분은 부모님이 아픔을 겪고 있는 이 길을 사랑하는 마음, 감사에 사무친 마음을 갖고 가야 합니다. 이 길은 여러분의 생각과 여러분의 머리로 비교해서 좋고 나쁨을 결정짓는 길이 아닙니다. 여기에서 새로이 혈통을 전환시킬 수 있습니다. 핏줄이 전환된다는 것입니다. 축복의 자리는 세계에서 제일 좋은 자리입니다. 그 축복의 자리는 여러분 자체로 완성되는 것이 아니라 순전히 부모님의 사랑에 의해서 완성됩니다. 자식이 부모의 품에서 태어나면 잘났든지 못났든지 그 부모의 형태를 닮습니다. 그와 마찬가지로 통일교회에서는 참부모의 도리를 가르쳐 줍니다. 그것이 여러분에게는 복 중의 복입니다.

10  人類の先祖であるアダムとエバが堕落したことを私たちは聖書を通して学びました。堕落したということは落ちたということであり、落ちたということは不 合格だったということを意味します。すなわち病気になったということです。そのため、人類歴史は喜びの歴史ではなく、悲しみと涙の歴史として出発しまし た。そのような立場が福を受けることのできない立場であることは、間違いありません。

それでは、祝福という言葉はどこから始まるべきなのでしょうか。祝福の歴史は、アダムとエバから始まらなければなりません。祝福を受ける人と祝福する人が いるのですが、祝福を受ける人がアダムとエバだとすれば、祝福する方は神様です。そのため、神様を中心として人間が祝福を受けなければならず、神様は祝福 をしてあげなければなりません。神様が祝福をしてくれることにより、その祝福が途切れるのではなく、神様から連結されて人間と関係をもつので、その祝福は 神様のものになるのと同時に人間のものになるのです。

11  アダムとエバが長成期完成級で堕落したので、復帰路程においても、父母によって復帰できる祝福の起源となる所は長成期完成級です。ここで祝福を受ける のです。また祝福を受けたのちに、そこから完成段階の基準に立とうとすれば、七年という期間を経なければなりません。この過程は先生自身も経なければなら ず、皆さんも経なければなりません。私たちは、全員がこの過程を経なければならない共同の運命をもっています。

12  祝福という言葉は、統一教会から始まったのではありません。この言葉は、今まで神様が復帰摂理をしてきながら心の中に抱き、これが実践されることを願 いながら歩んできたのです。神様がエデンの園でアダムとエバを創造し、彼らを祝福してあげ、そのみ旨が成し遂げられることを願われたのも、やはり同様でし た。その祝福をまだ誰も実践できていません。このように、神様は、やるせない立場で、祝福が実践されることを願いの中の願いとして待ち望みながら、今まで 歴史過程を経てこられたのです。

四千年の歴史過程を経たのち、神様は、本来与えたいと思われていた祝福を最後に決行するため、イエス様をこの地に送りました。神様はそのような摂理の役事 をされたのですが、イエス様もやはりその祝福の位置まで進むことができず、十字架で亡くなりました。その後も、キリスト教の歴史過程の中において、多くの キリスト教徒が殉教の血を流しながら闘ってきましたが、いまなお神様のその願いを解くことができずにいます。

そのような願いの一日を探すために、神様は今まで受難の道を歩んできたのですが、今もその日を見つけることができずにいるのです。ですから、この一日を探 し出せば、その日は歴史的な解怨成就を成し遂げる日であり、神様の歴史的な願いが成就する日になるのです。

13  堕落は長成期完成級で起きたため、これを原状に回復するためには、堕落したのと反対の経路を通して帰らなければなりません。アダムとエバが愛の問題を 中心に堕落したので、私たちの復帰路程においてもその基準に到達したならば、必ず愛の問題を中心にして越えていかなければならないのです。

今まではサタンの父母から愛を受けていたので、愛の問題を克服しようとすれば、神様の愛を中心とした真の父母の愛に連結されなければなりません。そのよう にしなければ、これを克服する道がないのです。ですから、堕落した父母の血統を受け継いだ堕落圏にいる人類は、最後には父母を迎え、縦的に一つになって堕 落圏を克服する道を探っていかなければならないのです。これが原理の立場です。

これを克服するのは一人ではできません。必ず男女がペアにならなければなりません。これが統一教会で行っている祝福です。ですから、祝福は自分なりにして はならないのです。縦的中心である父母を中心にしなければならないのです。

14  人間が堕落することによって、まず万物を失いました。そして、実体がサタンに汚されました。そして、心情を奪われてしまいました。このすべてを蕩減復 帰しなければなりません。万物の問題、実体の問題、心情の問題を完全に神様を中心として解決し、完成期間を通過しなければ、完成基準に到達できません。こ れが原理原則です。万物を復帰しなければならず、実体を復帰しなければなりません。そして、心情を復帰しなければならないのです。これを横的に見れば、万 物は蘇生であり、実体は長成であり、心情は完成です。

15  人間は、祝福という言葉に最高の意味を付与します。この世の人々は、自分の事業がうまく行けば「祝福された、福を受けた」と言います。あるいは良い息 子、娘をもてば、「あの人は福を受けた」と言います。

祝福を受けるのは男性と女性です。それでは、男性にとって最高の福とは何であり、女性にとって最高の福とは何でしょうか。第一に、生命の関係が結ばれる場 所から愛の関係が出発します。これが最も貴いのです。その次に、生命が人間だけのものではなく、生命の中心となる永遠の神様の生命と結束し、愛が私たちだ けの愛ではなく永遠の神様の愛と結束し、愛の理想を受け継ぐ場所が、最大の祝福の場です。その基盤の上に理想を描いていく人生が祝福なのです。

16  祝福は、天地父母を「私」が継承することであり相続することです。神様が天地を創造し、アダムとエバと結ぼうとした心情的関係が結ばれなかったので す。それが結ばれることにより、千年、万年、子孫を繁殖するのです。そうして千年、万年、一つの世界を造ろうとしたのですが、それができなかったので、そ れを再び継承するというのです。そのため、父母の代わりに継承する場です。父母が今までサタン世界で闘って勝利した栄光ある勲章とメダルと、すべての偉 業、勝利した偉業、その看板をすべてかぶせて相続させるのです。

17  有史以来、家庭的救済の道理を初めて体系的につかんだのは統一教会だけです。ですから、統一教会を信じる人は家庭が救われ、天国に入ることができるの です。このような家庭を築く行事が合同結婚式です。世の中であざ笑い、ありとあらゆることを言いますが、この祝福の内容がどれほど素晴らしく、どれほど驚 くべきことか、彼らは知らずにいます。

私たちは、天倫と人倫、天情と人情が合わさった真の息子、娘の姿で、真の長男と真の長女の位置で家庭を築き、神様を中心とした地上生活をすることができな ければなりません。

このようになるとき、この地上に生まれた真の人間としての目的を完成し、神様が人間を創造され、期待された目的が達成されるのです。この道が真の人間の行 くべき道です。

18  私たちは、今まで復帰の因縁を越えて、エデンで堕落したアダムとエバよりも高い価値をもち、真の父母の功績の基台の上に立ちました。そのため、私たち はイエス様が備えることのできなかった民族の基準を身代わりすることができ、氏族の基準を身代わりすることができ、家庭の基準を身代わりすることができ、 夫婦の基準を身代わりすることができる圏内にいます。そのような圏内で、父母の言葉と生活と心情に絶対一致する信仰基準に従っていけば、難なく神様のみ前 で祝福を受けることができるのです。

19  皆さんは、誰を中心として祝福を受けられますか。父母です。絶対的に信じられる真の父母です。「私は真の父母を中心とした血肉をもって出てきた。いか なる力もこの関係を断つことはできない」と言える絶対的信念をもたずに祝福を受ければ、天罰を受けます。これから皆さんがこの条件に引っ掛かって倒れる日 があれば、不幸なことになるでしょう。皆さんは、歴史を代表し、善の先祖を代表して現れました。善の先祖とこの時代の自分の氏族を代表して現れた、厳粛な 場にいるということです。

20  父母の愛を通して完全に復活した自分が、手の先から足の先まで生きていることを感じながら、感謝できる立場に立ってこそ、天に帰ることができるので す。しかし、足の先にありとあらゆることがすべて縛られているので、皆さんはこのような現実を踏み越えていかなければなりません。

その道は、いくら千辛万苦の受難の道だとしても、渡っていかなければならない運命の道ですが、一本のわらもつかめないほどどうすることもできない状況の中 で、今までそのどん底に落ちて死んだ人が、どれほど多かったでしょうか。そこで数多くの個人と家庭、氏族が滅び、数多くの国が滅びました。その崖から落ち てすべて死んでいったというのです。

しかし、その崖のある谷間に橋を架けてあげることができるならば、それは国と取り替えることもできず、この世界と取り替えることもできません。このような 高貴な価値が真の父母によって成し遂げられたという事実は、天地を一度にすべて与えられるよりも貴いのです。

21  皆さんの血の中には、サタンの血が蠢動しています。ですから、神様が近くに行くことのできるすべての要素を備えられていない自分自身の恥ずかしさを嘆 き、これを呪い、踏み越えてからこの場に来なければなりません。皆さんは、父母様が痛みを味わっているこの道を、愛する心と感謝の思いをもって行かなけれ ばならないのです。

この道は、皆さんの考えと皆さんの頭で、比較して良し悪しを決める道ではありません。ここにおいて、新たに血統を転換できるのです。血続が転換されるとい うのです。祝福の場は世界で最も良い場です。その祝福の場は、皆さん自体で完成するのではなく、完全に父母様の愛によって完成するのです。

子女が父母の懐から生まれれば、立派であってもそうでなくても、その父母の形態に似るのです。それと同じように、統一教会では、真の父母の道理を教えてく れます。それが皆さんには福の中の福なのです。

10 In the Bible we learn that the human ancestors, Adam and Eve, fell. The Fall means that they failed, and failing means that they did not pass their test. Another way to look at it is that they contracted a sickness. Therefore, history began with sorrow and tears instead of joy. For sure it was not filled with blessings. Where was the word “Blessing” to have begun? The history of the Blessing should have begun with Adam and Eve. There should have been someone to receive the Blessing and someone to give it. If Adam and Eve were the ones to receive the Blessing, then God was the one to give it. In this sense, human beings were created to receive the Blessing from God. By giving them the Blessing, God would have had continuous relationships with all people. Therefore, the Blessing belongs to God and, at the same time, to human beings. (91-207, 1977.02.20)

11 Since Adam and Eve fell at the completion level of the growth stage, in the course of restoration as well, the originating point of the Blessing from True Parents begins at the completion level of the growth stage. That is the stage when you receive the Blessing. After receiving it, you then have to pass through a seven-year course before you can stand at the level of perfection. Even I have to pass through this course just as you do. It is our common destiny to have to pass through this course. (25-027, 1969.09.21)

12 The term, “the Blessing” did not begin with the Unification Church. It has been the hope in God’s innermost heart—something He has pursued and strived to fulfill while leading the providence through history. God had wanted to fulfill this hope by giving Adam and Eve the Blessing of marriage after He created them in the Garden of Eden. However, to this day, no one has ever received this Blessing. God has been in the sorrowful position of waiting throughout human history to see the realization of His hope for the Blessing. After working in history for four thousand years, God sent Jesus to this earth for the purpose of finally realizing the Blessing that He had desired to give human beings. Jesus was doing God’s providential work, but he was crucified before he could receive the Blessing. Throughout subsequent history, many Christians struggled and shed blood as martyrs, but still God’s hope remained unfulfilled. God walked the path of suffering along with them to see His dream come true, but until now He couldn’t find that day. Only with the coming of that day will His bitter grief in history be dissolved, and the dream that He has nursed throughout history be fulfilled. (30-164, 1970.03.22)

13 The Fall occurred at the completion level of the growth stage, and we have to reverse its course to be restored to the original state. Adam and Eve fell through the misuse of love. In the course of our restoration as well, when we reach the stage Adam and Eve were in when they fell, we also must overcome this problem of love. Up to the present, people have been receiving love from the false parent, Satan. To overcome this problem of Satan’s love, there is no other way but to connect to True Parents’ love, which is centered on God. Therefore, human beings, who have inherited the fallen parent’s lineage in the realm of the Fall, must meet True Parents and unite vertically with them to find their way along the path that leads beyond the realm of the Fall. The Divine Principle teaches that we must take that position. However, it cannot be fulfilled alone; it requires that men and women be paired as couples. This is the Blessing conducted in the Unification Church. Therefore, the Blessing cannot be performed based on how you want it; it must be done centered on the Parents, the vertical center. 14 Human beings lost all things of creation due to the Fall. Satan also defiled their substance—their bodies—and took away their hearts. Everything must be restored through indemnity. Hence, we must put God at the center of our lives and resolve the problem of all things, the problem of substance and the problem of heart. Also, unless we pass through the completion stage, we cannot attain the standard of perfection. This is a principle and law. Thus, all the lost things of creation must be restored and the defiled substance of human beings must be restored. The stolen heart has to be restored as well. When we look at this horizontally, all things represent formation, substance represents growth and heart represents completion. (55-138, 1972.05.07)

15 People commonly use the word “blessing” to denote the highest value. When businesses are successful, people say they are blessed; it means that they are fortunate. They also say they are fortunate when they have a good son or daughter. However, the Blessing is to be received by men and women. What is great about the Blessing received by a man and a woman? First, it is to begin a relationship of love in the very place where life is created. This is the most precious thing. Next, the Blessing is where a man and a woman connect to the life that does not belong only to human beings, but to God, who is the center of eternal life. It is where they inherit the ideal of love where their love is not only their own love but is connected with God’s eternal love. Upon this foundation, they should strive to fulfill the ideal of life. This truly is a blessed life. (91-208, 1977.02.20)

16 The Blessing is to receive and inherit the bond with the True Parents of Heaven and Earth. Although God could not realize the relationship of heart that He wanted to have with Adam and Eve after the creation, through the Blessing thousands of generations of descendants will come forth, fulfilling God's hope for a world that will last for eternity. God’s hope that was not realized in the beginning has been bequeathed to us today. We inherit that hope as representatives of True Father and True Mother. We inherit the glorious medals and plaques that True Father and True Mother received and all their great, victorious achievements in their fight against Satan’s world. (158-021, 1967.11.10)

17 The Unification Church is the only place since the beginning of history that lays out a systematic path to the salvation of the family. That is why families that believe in the teachings and follow the way of the Unification Church will be able to receive salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven. Our mass weddings are the ceremonies that create such families. The world sneers at us and says all kinds of nasty things, but it does not know what an amazing and astonishing thing the content of the Blessing is. We must become true sons and daughters who are one with the principles of heaven and earth and who share in both the heart of heaven and the heart of human beings. We should then form families in the position of God’s true first sons and true first daughters, and live our lives on this earth with God as our center. When we do this, we can fulfill the purpose of our life as true human beings born on earth and fulfill God’s original purpose for creating human beings. This is the path true people have to follow. 18 We stand on the foundation of the merit of True Parents, who have been walking the course of restoration. Our value is now higher than that of Adam and Eve who fell in the Garden of Eden. Therefore you are within the realm of authority where you can represent the standard of a people, tribe, family and couple, all of which Jesus was unable to attain. If you follow the standard of faith that is absolutely united with the Word, and if you are absolutely united with the life and heart of the True Parents, you can receive the Blessing from God without any problem. 19 Centering on whom can you receive the Blessing? Centering on the Parents. They are the True Parents, in whom you can place your absolute faith. You would be punished if you received the Blessing without being able to say with absolute conviction, “I have come forth because of my relationship with True Parents, with their flesh and blood. No force in the universe can sever this relationship.” In the future, if you violate this condition and fail, your life will become miserable. You have appeared as a representative of history and the representative of your good ancestors. You stand in a solemn position, representing all your good ancestors and your tribe in this era. 20 You will be able to return to God only if you can feel from the tips of your fingers to the ends of your toes that you have been completely reborn through the love of True Parents and are grateful for it. However, there are all sorts of things tying you down, so you must kick all of them away and move beyond them. That is the path you are destined to take, no matter how tremendously difficult it may be. How many people without even a twig to grab on have fallen into the abyss? Countless individuals, families, tribes and countless nations have been destroyed, because while on the path they fell off the cliff and died. However, if someone could build a bridge that spans the abyss between the cliffs, such a thing would be worth more than nations and even more than the world. That precious bridge has now been built for you, thanks to your relationship with True Parents. It is more valuable than receiving all of heaven and earth. (35-234, 1970.10.19)

21 Satan’s blood is churning in your veins. Therefore, after cursing and trampling on your unworthy self and repenting in shame for having nothing in you that God can accept, you must come to the place of the Blessing. True Parents suffered to open this way for you, so you need to come with love and gratitude deep in your heart. At the place of Blessing, you must not measure good or bad based on your own thought and brain. Right there your lineage is changed; your bloodline is actually changed. The place of the Blessing is the very best place you can be in the entire world. It is impossible to attain the place of the Blessing on your own; you attain it solely by virtue of the love of True Parents. When a child is born from his parents, whether he is good-looking or not, the child resembles his parents. In the same way, in the Unification Church you are taught the way to become true parents. For you, that is the blessing of blessings. (35-235, 1970.10.18)
