천성경 (증) - 184. 참인간의 생활

13 영국이라든가 미국을 방문한 일본 사람이나 독일 사람을 원수 나라의 사람이라고 생각해서는 안 됩니다. 원수 나라 사람이라도 자기 가족의 연장이라고 생각해야 됩니다. 세계 어디를 가더라도 노인을 보면 자기 할머니를 사랑하는 이상 사랑해야 됩니다. 그래야 하늘 앞에 가까이 갈 수 있습니다. 그런 환경이 되면 미국 할머니도 일본 아이들을 친손자같이 아주 귀여워하게 됩니다. 자기 손자가 있으면 국가를 넘어서 결혼을 시켜 주고 싶다고 생각하게 됩니다. 사랑은 위대한 것입니다. 환경을 넘어서 자기의 가장 가까운 데에 놓고 싶은 것이 사랑의 세계입니다. 가정은 천국생활의 훈련장입니다. 그것을 확대한 것이 지상·천상천국입니다. 선생님이 미국에 대해서 걱정을 한 것이 그것 때문이었습니다.

14 가정의 생활에서 사랑을 중심삼고 하나된 모델적 그 형태가 교과서와 마찬가지입니다. 이것을 확대시킨 것이 세계입니다. 할아버지 할머니 연령, 어머니 아버지 연령, 자기 부부 연령, 아들딸 연령으로 세계는 급이 나뉘어 있습니다. 그렇게 서로 다른 연령의 급들이 한 가정에서 훈련되어 하나된 모양으로 그 공식을 통해서 화합할 수 있는 자가 되면, 세계의 어디를 가든지, 천국 천하 어디를 가든지 그 상속을 받을 수 있고, 거기에 동참할 수 있고, 주인의 자리에 들어갈 수 있습니다. 천국이 가정입니다. 그런 경험적 사랑을 가져서 국경을 넘고 형제자매와 같이 사랑하는 세계가 지상천국입니다. 그렇게 살던 사람이 영원한 천국에 연결되는 것입니다. 그것은 인생 최고의 성공이요 최고 행복의 길입니다.

15 남자 여자는 서로서로 이상적 길을 완성시키는 상대입니다. 상대가 없으면 참사랑을 찾을 수 없기 때문에 내가 완성할 수 없습니다. 여러분의 어머니 아버지가 사인해야 되고, 할머니 할아버지가 오케이 해야 되고, 자기 상대가 오케이 하고, 아들딸들이 틀림없이 우리 아버지는 오케이라고 할 수 있는 그때 아들딸은 행복한 것입니다. 하나님 대신, 이 우주의 왕 대신 대표자를 모시고 행복한 황태자 황녀로서 살 수 있고, 왕궁에서 궁중생활을 하므로 행복하다는 것입니다. 그곳이 천국입니다. 그것을 선생님이 발견하고 가르치고 실천하는 것입니다.

16 천국은 가정에서부터입니다. 할아버지는 하나님 대신이고, 어머니 아버지는 현재 대신이고, 아들딸은 미래입니다. 과거·현재·미래가 축소되어 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 어머니 아버지는 이 세상을 대표합니다. 할아버지는 하나님을 대신한 것입니다. 할아버지 할머니는 과거의 하나님 자리요, 어머니 아버지는 현재의 하나님 자리요, 아들딸은 미래의 하나님 자리입니다. 참사랑을 중심삼고는 동등한 것입니다. 참사랑 논리를 중심삼고 평등, 동등한 내용의 가치, 본질적인 일체이상관을 형성할 수 있습니다. 참사랑을 중심삼고, 위하는 사랑의 핵을 중심삼고 동서남북 사방이 하나로 엉클어질 때 그 자리는 영원히 하나님의 사랑의 운세가 보호하기 때문에 이것은 하나님의 사랑의 상대로서 영원불멸, 영생한다는 것입니다.

17 참부모는 횡적이니만큼 횡적인 수평이라 할 때 거기에는 종적인 것을 필요로 합니다. 이 종적인 부모를 닮은 것이 마음입니다. 종적인 사랑과 생명과 핏줄을 이어받은 것이 양심이고, 횡적인 사랑과 생명과 핏줄을 이어받은 것이 몸입니다. 그렇기 때문에 90각도 될 수 있는 인정과 천정이 합덕해서 영원 고착한 그 자리에 하나님이 안정하십니다. 모든 만복의 기원이 거기서 무한히 솟아나기 때문에 영생 행복, 복된 세계가 발발합니다. 이런 가정천국을 형성해야 됩니다. 그런 생활을 하던 것을 확대하면 세계가 되는 것입니다.

18 하나님의 사랑을 알고, 부모의 사랑을 알고 부모를 모실 줄 알고, 남편의 사랑을 알고 남편을 모실 줄 알고, 자식의 사랑을 알고 자식을 모실 줄 알아야 됩니다. 자식에게 명령만 할 것이 아니라 모실 줄도 알아야 됩니다. 위할 줄도 알아야 됩니다. 그래야 하나님의 사랑을 이해할 수 있습니다. 교재로서 필요합니다. 자식이 없으면 미완성입니다. 하나님의 사랑을 알 수 없습니다. 하나님이 인간을, 자식을 얼마나 사랑했는지 모른다는 것입니다. 남편이 안 되어 보고는 아내 사랑을 모르고, 아내가 안 되어 보고는 남편 사랑을 모릅니다. 또 부모가 안 돼 가지고는 부모의 사랑이 어떤 줄 모릅니다. 그것을 연대해 알게 하기 위한 교재로서 지었습니다. 그러기에 아들딸이 없으면 참된 부모가 못 됩니다. 본연의 그 원칙 규범에 합격될 수 있는 일등품이 되기 위해서는 부모가 필요하고, 아내가 필요하고, 자식을 가져야 됩니다. 그래야 하나님의 사랑을 체휼할 수 있는 일등품이라고 이 우주가 도장을 찍어 줍니다. 그래야 천국에 자연히 들어간다는 것입니다.

19 하나님이 기뻐하시고 슬퍼하시는 것을 항상 감별하면서 사는 사람은 악한 사람이 되려야 될 수 없고, 하늘의 법도에 어긋나려야 어긋날 수 없습니다. 공적이든 사적이든 하나님이 제일 싫어하는 사람은 대인관계에 있어서 남을 이용하려는 사람입니다. 그리고 그다음에는 무엇이든지 자기 이익을 중심삼고 판단하려는 사람입니다. 하나님이 좋아하는 사람은 양보하는 사람입니다. 양보는 내가 자꾸 그를 따라가는 것입니다. 그가 하자는 대로 자꾸 따라가는 것입니다. 자꾸 따라가면 돌게 되고, 돌다 보면 나중에는 내가 그 자리를 점령하게 됩니다. 결국은 그 사람의 모든 것을 점령할 수 있다는 것입니다.

20 항상 온유겸손하고, 그 사람이 하자는 대로 순종·복종·굴복해야 됩니다. 그것은 그 사람을 완전히 점령하기 위해서입니다. 사람만을 점령하는 것이 아니라 그 사람의 전체를 점령하기 위한 작전입니다. 따라서 신앙세계에서는 자기를 부정하고 대신 상대방의 요구에 완전히 순응해 들어가는 작전을 해야 됩니다. 그것은 나 자체가 없어지는 것이 아니라 상대방을 완전히 점령하기 위한 하나의 작전입니다. 이런 것을 생활에서 감지해야 됩니다.

21 교만은 원수입니다. 교만과 고집은 사탄의 본질이요 사탄의 요소입니다. 그러니 우리는 교만 대신 겸손, 고집 대신 화합을 해야 됩니다. 화이유친(和而有親)입니다. 이 사람도 좋게 해주고, 저 사람도 좋게 해주는 사람이 되어야 합니다. 그렇게 되면 여기에서부터 모든 일이 통하게 되는 것입니다. 이 사람 저 사람 둘이 하나가 되지 않으면 더 큰 것이 나오지 않습니다. 화합하지 않으면 그렇게 됩니다. 사탄의 본질에는 시기와 질투 같은 것들도 있지만 교만과 고집은 우리에게는 용허할 수 없는 것입니다.

22 통일교회는 성인을 만들자는 것입니다. 위인 앞에는 원수가 있지만 성인 앞에는 원수가 없습니다. 위인은 자기 민족만 사랑한 사람이지만 성인은 인류를 사랑한 사람입니다. 그러기에 위인이 하나님 앞에 나서게 될 때 ‘너는 네 민족은 사랑했지만 내가 사랑하는, 내가 찾는 세계 인류를 사랑하지 못했지 않느냐?’라고 하면 나아갈 수 없지만, 성인의 도리를 따라간 사람은 하나님 앞으로 직행할 수 있습니다. 통일교회는 성인을 만들자는 것입니다.

23 하나님을 숭상하는 사람은 피를 흘리지 않으면 안 되고, 하나님을 사랑하려는 사람은 눈물을 흘리지 않으면 안 됩니다. 눈에서 눈물이 말라서는 안 됩니다. 그리고 하나님을 찾아가려고 하는 사람은 땀을 흘리지 않으면 안 됩니다. 그래서 부모의 심정을 가지고 종의 몸을 쓰고 인류를 위해 아벨의 입장에서 희생봉사하고 정성을 다해서 주라는 것입니다. 그렇게 주면서 자랑할 것이 아니라 더 좋은 것을 주고 싶은 마음을 가지고 부끄러움을 느끼면서 주라는 것입니다. 그것이 하나님주의입니다.

24 선생님이 지금까지 밤을 새워 가면서 사람을 대하고 있는 것은 모든 사람들을 좋아하기 위해서입니다. 사람을 싫어해서는 복귀역사를 책임질 수 없습니다. 악한 사람도 좋아해야 되고 선한 사람도 좋아해야 됩니다. 모든 사람을 좋아하지 않으면 하나님을 대신할 수 없기 때문입니다. 타락은 하나님 세계에서 반대되는 자리로 떨어진 것입니다. 이 세계를 나쁘다고 하는 자리로 떨어지게 한 것이 타락입니다. 하나님도 이 세계가 나쁘다고 하게 된다면 하나님이 아닙니다. 하나님이 복귀역사를 못하신다는 것입니다. 하나님이 이 세계를 좋다고 하면서 지었는데, 타락해서 이 세상이 나쁘다고 하는 입장으로 내려오게 된다면 하나님이 아니라는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 나쁜 일도 좋게 대하는 것이 원칙입니다. 그래서 예수님도 ‘원수를 사랑하라.’라고 하신 것입니다.

25 원수를 사랑하라는 것은 원수가 없는 자리에 서라는 말입니다. 원수가 없는 자리에 서라고 하는 것은 에덴동산에서 타락권을 맞이하지 않은 본연의 세계, 본연의 자리로 돌아간 상태가 되라는 것입니다. 우리는 이것을 중심삼고 싸웁니다. 전부가 그렇게 되기 위해 싸우는 것입니다. 그러므로 여러분은 맨 처음 사람을 대할 때에는 나쁜 사람이라 할지라도 나쁘게 보지 말라는 것입니다.

13  イギリスやアメリカを訪問した日本人やドイツ人を、怨讐の国の人と考えてはいけません。怨讐の国の人でも、自分の家族の延長だと考えなければならない のです。世界のどこに行っても、老人を見れば、自分の祖母を愛する以上に愛さなければなりません。そのようにしてこそ、天の前に近づくことができるので す。

そのような環境になれば、アメリカの祖母も、日本の子女たちを実の孫のようにかわいがるのです。自分の孫がいれば、国家を越えて結婚させてあげたいと考え るようになるのです。愛は偉大なものです。環境を越えて、自分の最も近い所に置きたいと思うのが愛の世界です。家庭は天国生活の訓練場です。それを拡大し たのが地上天国であり天上天国です。先生がアメリカに対して心配したのは、そのためだったのです。

14  家庭の生活において、愛を中心として一つになったモデル的なその形態は、教科書と同じです。これを拡大したのが世界です。世界は、祖父母の年齢、父母 の年齢、自分たち夫婦の年齢、息子、娘の年齢に等級が分かれているのです。そのように互いに違う年齢の等級が一つの家庭において訓練され、一つになった形 でその公式を通して和合できる者になれば、世界のどこに行っても、天国、天下のどこに行ってもその相続を受けることができ、そこに同参することができ、主 人の位置に入ることができるのです。天国は家庭です。そのような愛の経験をもって国境を越え、兄弟姉妹のように愛する世界が地上天国です。そのように生き た人が、永遠の天国に連結されるのです。それは人生最高の成功であり、最高の幸福の道なのです。

15  男性と女性は、互いが理想的な道を完成させる相対です。相対がいなければ真の愛を見つけることができないので、「私」が完成できないのです。皆さんの 父母がサインしなければならず、祖父母がOKしなければならず、自分の相対がOKし、息子、娘が「間違いなく私たちのお父さんはOKだ」と言うことができ るその時、息子、娘は幸福を感じるのです。神様の代身者、この宇宙の王の代身者に侍って暮らす幸福な皇太子、皇女として暮らすことができ、王宮で宮中生活 ができるので幸福だというのです。そこが天国です。それを先生が発見し、教え、実践するのです。

16  天国は家庭からです。祖父母は神様の代身であり、父母は現在の代身であり、息子、娘は未来です。過去と現在と未来が縮小されています。ですから、父母 はこの世を代表します。祖父母は神様を身代わりしているのです。祖父母は過去の神様の位置であり、父母は現在の神様の位置であり、息子、娘は未来の神様の 位置です。真の愛を中心としては同等なのです。

真の愛の論理を中心として、平等であり、同等な内容の価値、本質的な一体理想観を形成できるのです。真の愛を中心として、ために生きる愛の核を中心とし て、東西南北、四方が一つに絡み合うとき、その場は永遠に神様の愛の運勢が保護するため、これは神様の愛の相対として永遠に不滅です。永生するというので す。

17  真の父母は横的なので、そこには縦的なものを必要とするのです。この縦的な父母に似たのが心です。縦的な愛と生命と血統を受け継いだのが良心であり、横的な愛と生命と血統を受け継いだのが体です。そのため、九〇度にな ることのできる人情と天情が合徳(和合)し、永遠に固着したその場に神様が安着されるのです。すべての万福の起源がそこから無限にあふれるので、永生幸福 の福ある世界が出てくるのです。このような家庭天国を形成しなければなりません。そのような生活圏を拡大すれば、世界になるのです。

18  神様の愛を知り、父母の愛を知り、父母に侍ることができ、夫の愛を知り、夫に侍ることができ、子女の愛を知り、子女に侍ることができなければなりませ ん。子女に命令をするだけでなく、侍ることもできなければならないのです。ために生きることができなければなりません。そうしてこそ、神様の愛を理解する ことができます。

教材として必要なのです。子女がいなければ未完成です。神様の愛を知ることはできません。神様が人間を、子女をどれほど愛されたか分からないというので す。夫になってみなければ妻の愛が分からず、妻になってみなければ夫の愛が分かりません。また父母になってみなければ、父母の愛がどのようなものか分から ないのです。それをまとめて分からせるための教材として造ったのです。ですから、息子、娘がいなければ真の父母になれません。

本然のその原則、規範に合格できる一等品になるためには、父母が必要であり、妻が必要であり、子女をもたなければなりません。そうしてこそ、神様の愛を体 恤できる一等品として、この宇宙が判を押してくれるのです。それでこそ、天国に自然と入っていくというのです。

19  神様が喜ばれ、悲しまれることを常に判別しながら生きる人は、悪なる人になろうとしてもなることができず、天の法度に背こうとしても背くことができま せん。公的であれ私的であれ、神様が最も嫌われる人は、対人関係において他の人を利用しようとする人です。その次は、何でも自分の利益を中心として判断し ようとする人です。

神様が好まれる人は、譲歩する人です。譲歩とは、自分がひたすらその人についていくことです。その人がしようと言うとおりに、ひたすらついていくのです。 ひたすらついていけば回るようになり、回ってみれば、あとから自分がその位置を占領するようになります。結局は、その人のすべてのものを占領できるという のです。

20  常に柔和、謙遜で、その人がしようと言うとおりに従順、服従、屈服しなければなりません。それは、その人を完全に占領するためです。人だけを占領する のではなく、その人の全体を占領するための作載です。したがって信仰世界においては、自分を否定し、代わりに相手の要求に完全に順応していく作戦を取らな ければなりません。それは自分自体がなくなるのではなく、相手を完全に占領するための一つの作戦なのです。このようなことを生活において感知しなければな りません。

21  驕慢は怨讐です。驕慢と固執はサタンの本質であり、サタンの要素です。ですから、秘たちは驕慢になる代わりに議遜になり、固執する代わりに和合しなけ ればなりません。「和而有親」です。この人にもよくしてあげ、あの人にもよくしてあげる人にならなければなりません。そのようになれば、ここからすべての ことが通じるようになるのです。この人とあの人、二人が一つにならなければ、より大きいものが出てこないのです。和合しなければそのようになります。サタ ンの本質には、妬みと嫉妬のようなものもありますが、驕慢と固執は、私たちには許されないものです。

22  統一教会は聖人をつくろうというのです。偉人の前には怨讐がいますが、聖人の前には怨讐がいません。偉人は自分の民族だけを愛した人ですが、聖人は人 類を愛した人です。ですから、偉人が神様のみ前に出ていくとき、「お前は自分の民族は愛したが、私が愛する、私が求める世界人類を愛することができなかっ たではないか」と言われれば、神様のみ前に出ていくことができませんが、聖人の道理に従っていった人は、神様のみ前に直行できるのです。統一教会は聖人を つくろうというのです。

23  神様をあがめる人は血を流さなければならず、神様を愛そうとする人は涙を流さなければなりません。目から涙が乾いてはいけません。そして、神様を探し 求めていこうという人は汗を流さなければなりません。それで、父母の心情で僕の体を用い、人類のため、アベルの立場で犠牲になって奉仕し、精誠を尽くして 与えなさいというのです。そのように与えながら誇るのではなく、もっと良いものを与えたいという思いをもち、恥ずかしさを感じながら与えなさいというので す。それが神主義です。

24  先生が今まで夜を徹しながら人に対しているのは、すべての人を好きになるためです。人を嫌っては復帰歴史に責任をもつことはできません。悪人も好きに ならなければならないし、善人も好きにならなければなりません。すべての人を好きにならなければ神様を身代わりできないからです。

堕落とは、神様の世界から反対の立場に落ちたことです。この世界を、悪の立場に落としたのが堕落です。神様も、「この世界は悪い」と言うようになれば、神 様ではありません。神様が復帰摂理をすることができないというのです。神様がこの世界を「良い」と言いながら造ったのに、「堕落したから、この世界は悪 い」と言う立場に降りてくれば、神様ではないというのです。ですから、悪いことも良いことのように対するのが原則です。ですから、イエス様も「怨讐を愛し なさい」と言われたのです。

25 「怨讐を愛しなさい」というのは、「怨讐がいない立場に立ちなさい」ということです。怨讐がいない立場に立ちなさいということは、エデンの園で堕落圏 を迎えていない本然の世界、本然の位置に帰った状態になりなさいということです。私たちは、これを中心として闘うのです。すべてがそのようになるために闘 うのです。ですから、皆さんが最初に人に対するときは、悪い人だとしても、悪く見てはいけないというのです。

13 People in England or America should not consider the Japanese or German people who visit their countries as enemies. Even though they are from former enemy countries, the British and Americans should think of them as an extension of their own families. By the same token, wherever you go in the world, if you see an elderly person, you should treat that person with more love than you would give to your own grandfather or grandmother. That is how you come closer to Heaven. If we can, we should create such an environment that American grandmothers treat Japanese children as their own grandchildren. They would even want their grandchildren to intermarry with them, overlooking the difference of nationality. Love is a mighty thing. In the world of love, people keep their loved ones close to their heart, no matter what the circumstances. The family is the training ground for life in heaven. The kingdom of heaven on earth and in heaven is an extension of the family. This is the reason I have worried about America. (229-140, 1992.04.11)

14 The model family whose members are united by love is like a textbook of the kingdom of heaven. The world is an extension of the family. The people of the world can be differentiated by age: those at the age of grandfathers and grandmothers, those at the age of mothers and fathers, those at the age of young couples and those at the age of children. If the people of these different ages train themselves to unite and harmonize with one another within their own families, they create a formula by which wherever they go, whether on earth or in heaven, they can inherit everything, participate in everything and become the owners of everything. The kingdom of heaven is one family. The kingdom of heaven on earth is a world where people treat one another with love as their own brothers and sisters, beyond the national barriers. People who live such lives then move on to the eternal kingdom of heaven in heaven. That is the greatest success in life and the path of greatest happiness. (217-104, 1991.05.04)

15 Men and women are supposed to be ideal partners who help each other reach perfection. Without a partner there is no way to find true love and no way to attain perfection. Your mother and father should give you their signatures of approval, your grandmother and grandfather should say, “okay,” your spouse should say, “okay,” and your sons and daughters should say, “My father and mother are okay.” When all of them recognize you as a good couple, your sons and daughters will be happy. They will be happy because they live with you, their parents, who represent God, the King of the Universe. Your home, where they live, is a palace in which they are princes and princesses. Such a family is the kingdom of heaven. I have discovered this, and I am now teaching you by practicing it. (217-105, 1991.05.04)

16 The kingdom of heaven starts from the family. The grandparents represent the past, the mother and father the present, and the sons and daughters the future. In this way, the past, present and future are condensed in the family. The mother and father represent the current world. The grandfather and grandmother are in the position of God in the past; the mother and father are in the position of God in the present, and the sons and daughters are in the position of God in the future. They all are equal in true love. Based on the logic of true love, they attain equal value and ideal oneness. True love is love for the sake of others, and based on such love, the four directions blend into one. The family where this occurs is eternally protected by the fortune of God’s love. Its members are the partners of God’s love, and therefore they will never die but live for eternity. (211-289, 1990.12.30)

17 True parents are horizontal beings, and horizontal beings need a vertical being—Heavenly Parent. It is our heart that resembles the vertical Parent. It is our conscience that inherits vertical love, life and lineage, and it is our body that inherits horizontal love, life and lineage. God can only settle in the place where human beings join in a virtuous union, where their human hearts and Heaven’s heart are joined at a 90-degree angle. From that place all fortune springs and flows, and the world of eternal happiness and blessings begins. We must form this kind of heavenly kingdom in the family. When this kind of life expands, it becomes the world. (211-290, 1990.12.30)

18 We should know God’s love. We should know the love of our parents and learn how to attend them. We should know conjugal love and learn how to serve our spouse. We should know our children’s love and learn how to understand and support them, not just give them directions. Only then can we understand God’s love. We need parents, spouse and children as the textbooks of love. Unless we have children, we are incomplete and cannot understand God’s love, because we cannot understand how much God loves us, His children. Unless you are a husband, you cannot know a wife’s love, and unless you are a wife, you cannot know a husband’s love. Children do not know what parents’ love is like until they become parents. Children, spouse and parents are textbooks to learn from. Hence, without sons and daughters you cannot be true parents. You need your parents, your spouse and your children so you can become first class products that meet the standards of the original Principle. Only then will the universe stamp you with its seal of approval as Grade A products that can experience God’s love. Then you will go into the kingdom of heaven automatically. (133-138, 1984.07.10)

19 One who is always able to discern whether God is happy or sad cannot become an evil person even if he or she thinks to do so. He or she cannot go against the law of Heaven, even if he or she tries. The kind of person God deplores the most is the one who tries to use other people, whether in a private or public setting. Also God deplores those who eval‎‎uate matters based only on their self-benefit. The people God cherishes are those who yield to others. To yield means that you continually follow the person to whom you yield. You continually do what that person says. If you keep on doing it, you will find yourself orbiting in a circle, and you will end up acquiring that person’s position. In the end you can possess everything that person owns. (40-297, 1971.02.07)

20 To your partner you should always be meek and humble; you should submit, obey and surrender yourself to him or her. You do this in order to win him or her over completely. It is not just to occupy your partner, but to win him or her over in every respect. Likewise, in the world of faith, you must use the strategy of denying yourself and completely complying with your leader’s desires. This strategy is not to make you cease to exist, but to win him or her over completely. This is something of which you should be aware in your everyday life. (40-298, 1971.02.07)

21 Arrogance is your enemy. Arrogance and insisting on your own way are the essence and character of Satan. So instead of being arrogant, you should be modest; instead of insisting on your own way, you should be humble. Harmony creates friendship. Thus, you should be able to bring harmony to everyone. If you can do that, everything will start to flow. If people fail to unite in harmony, nothing greater can come. Lack of harmony leads to stagnation. Therefore, you must not give in to jealousy or envy, which, along with arrogance and insisting on your own way, are the essence of Satan’s nature. (37-132, 1970.12.23)

22 The work of the Unification Church is to transform people into saints. Great people have to face enemies, but saints do not regard anyone as an enemy. Great people love their own people, but saints love all humankind. Therefore, when great people seek to stand before God, He tells them, “You loved your own people but you failed to love all the people of the world, whom I love and am trying to save. Isn’t that so?” Hearing that, they are not able to stand in His presence. On the other hand, those who fulfill the duties of saints can go directly into His presence. The Unification Chinch works on transforming people into saints. (38-263, 1971.01.08)

23 Those who worship God need to shed their blood. Those who love God must shed tears. In fact, tears should not dry from their eyes. Those who seek God must shed sweat. Then, with the heart of a parent and in the shoes of a servant, they must sacrifice and serve humanity from the position of Abel, giving everything they have with utmost devotion. In giving, they should not boast to others, but rather feel sorry that they cannot give something better. This is what Godism is all about. (486-173, 2005.02.05)

24 The reason I stay up all night meeting with people is so that I can love everyone. If I disliked anyone, I could not take responsibility for the work of restoration. I have to love everyone, the good and the bad. Unless I love everyone, I cannot represent God. The Fall means that the first human ancestors fell down from God’s world to the opposite place. The Fall caused the world to plummet to a bad place. Nevertheless, if God were to say that this world was bad, He could not be God. He could not fulfill the work of restoration. When God created the world, all the while He said it was good. He could not be God anymore if He said this world had become bad because of the Fall. That is why it is a principle to treat even bad things as good things. That is why Jesus said, “Love your enemy.” (Matt. 6:44) (40-108, 1971.01.24)

25 To love your enemy means that you stand in a position where you do not have an enemy. To stand in that position means that you return to the original position in the original world, to the Garden of Eden which has nothing to do with the realm of the Fall. This is what we are fighting for. We fight so everyone can return to that state. Therefore, when you meet someone for the first time, do not reckon him to be a bad person, even if he is.
