<P class=firstletter><A href="http://www.bnamericas.com/company-profile/en/Fitch_Chile_Clasificadora_de_Riesgo_Ltda,-Fitch_Chile"><U><FONT color=#0000ff>Fitch Ratings</FONT></U></A> has placed Chilean conglomerate Sigdo Koppers' A+(cl) long-term and the A+(cl) bonds on rating watch negative, the agency's Chilean branch said in a statement.

<P>The change follows Sigdo Koppers agreement to acquire all of the shares of Belgian crushers and grinding parts manufacturer Magotteaux for a total consideration of 550mn euros (US$790mn).

<P>Fitch also took into consideration the company's decision to sell its CTI Compañía Tecno Industrial home appliances manufacturing branch to AB Electrolux for a total consideration of US$630mn, the agency said.

<P>The deal to acquire Magotteaux will increase the company's debt, which was at US$137mn up to June this year, Fitch said.</P><BR><BR>
