첫댓글Graduate from Yale Law ^^. Simple but very hard to achieve. (of course you don't have to be a Yale graduate but that was just the case for a friend of mine. Just giving you an example)
If you graduate from Yale or Harvard, you need to finish in top half. If you graduate from other top 10 law schools, within top 15-20%. For graduates of top 20-30 law schools, top 10%. The remaning top 50 and second-tier, top 5%. Third-tier and below, you need to graduate number 1 or 2.
i guess all of above is true indeed. But, getting to the top is one story, going down the hill is another. One of the major factor in becoming a partner, i think, is how much billing u can bring into the firm. What ultimately matters is $. Firms dont give crap about ur degree in long run.
