천성경 (증) - 205. 축복의 의의와 가치

10 통일교회에서는 결혼을 축복이라고 합니다. 내가 홀로 가는 길 앞에, 사랑을 찾아가는 길 앞에 외로웠던 남자와 여자의 길을 버리고 서로가 외로울 때 위로할 수 있고, 기쁠 때 같이 기뻐할 수 있고, 어려울 때 힘이 되어 줄 수 있는 상대적 입장에 서서 하나는 바른발이 되고 하나는 왼발이 되고, 하나는 바른손이 되고 하나는 왼손이 되어서 하나님을 찬양하고 하나님의 사랑을 우리 생활무대에 깔고 나간다고 하는 그런 생활이 결혼생활입니다.

11 인간조상인 아담과 해와가 타락한 그날부터 인간은 하나님이 축복해 주시는 한 날을 고대하여 왔습니다. 그 축복의 날을 위하여 중간 역할을 하는 것이 종교입니다. 통일교회는 적자를 찾아 세워 모든 것을 상속받으려는 것입니다. 탕감의 과정을 거치지 않고는 축복받을 수 없습니다. 그 이유는 사탄 때문입니다. 지상에 있는 축복가정들의 뜻 대한 기준에 따라서 상대적으로 영계에 있는 선조들의 모든 것이 결정됩니다. 이날을 위해 선생님은 정성 들이며 투쟁해 왔습니다. 축복은 참부모의 인연을 계승받는 것입니다. 그러므로 참부모가 사탄세계와 싸우던 간판을 걸고 축복하는 것입니다.

12 축복이 이루어지는 지금의 때는 하나님의 소원이 이루어지는 최고의 때요, 6천년간 수고해 온 하나님의 한이 그치는 때요, 이 땅에 오시어 수고하셨던 하나님의 아들, 즉 예수님의 소원이 이루어지는 때입니다. 이뿐만 아니라 그 아들의 가정을 중심삼고 사랑이 시작되는 때요, 만물의 환희와 존귀와 영광을 받을 수 있는 때입니다. 죄악이 다 사라지고 광명의 태양이 솟아오른 명랑한 천지를 맞이하는 날, 모든 자연이 화동하고 모든 동물이 춤을 추는 화창한 아침, 승리의 아침을 맞이하는 날입니다.

13 결혼하는 시간은 하나님의 사랑을 상속받는 시간입니다. 그리고 재창조의 권한을 상속받습니다. 하나님이 아담과 해와를 지어 놓고 느끼셨던 그 기쁨이 결혼을 통해서 벌어집니다. 그다음에는 주관권이 벌어집니다. 완성권에서 축복을 받음으로써 이렇게 제일 귀한 것들을 이어받게 됩니다. 그렇기 때문에 결혼식이라는 것은 사랑의 현현을 말하는 것이요, 이상적인 창조권을 부여받는 것을 말하는 것이요, 주체자나 대상자로서 서로서로 주관권을 부여받는 것을 말합니다.

14 하나님이 남자와 여자를 짓고 3대 축복을 해주신 것은 무엇이었느냐 하면, 가정완성의 이념이었습니다. ‘생육하고 번성하라. 모든 땅에 충만하라!’라고 하신 3대 축복은 개인이 이루는 것이 아닙니다. 가정에서 이루는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 가정은 개인이 정착할 수 있는 안식처입니다. 하나의 이상의 기지입니다. 아무리 잘난 남자나 잘난 여자라 하더라도 그 가정에 아버지와 어머니가 없으면 안 되고, 부부가 없으면 안 되고, 형제가 없으면 안 됩니다.

15 왜 절대적으로 남자한테 여자가 필요하고 여자한테 남자가 필요하냐? 절대적인 사랑을 위해서입니다. 절대적인 사랑은 왜 필요하냐? 하나님을 점령하기 위해서입니다. 왜 하나님을 점령해야 되느냐? 하나님을 점령하면 하나님이 내 것이 됩니다. 사랑에는 상속권이 있고 동거권과 동참권도 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 하나님이 내 것이 되고 하나님의 피조물 전부가 내 것이 됩니다.

16 결혼의 목적은 자기완성과 우주의 주관에 있습니다. 자기완성과 더불어 우주를 장악하고 미래의 세계를 포용하는 것입니다. 자기를 완성하여 하나님을 점령해서 영원히 하나님과 함께 창조이상을 이루는 데에 협조한 상대로서 남아지겠다는 것입니다. 그러니까 하나님이 선한 아들딸을 창조하셨기 때문에 결혼하는 남자와 여자도 선한 아들딸을 많이 낳아서 길러야 됩니다. 아이를 낳지 않는 것은 죄입니다. 그렇게 해서 하나님이 다스리는 세계, 하나님이 창조하신 피조세계를 무한히 확장하는 것입니다. 하나님이 보시기에 즐거운 이상세계를 만드는 것입니다. 이것이 3대 축복입니다. 개성을 완성하면 하나님이 다스리는 세계에 대한 소유권이 생깁니다. 그러면 기쁨이 배가됩니다. 자녀를 번식하면 횡적인 세계에 기쁨이 차고 넘칩니다.

17 영계에 가서 어떤 여자의 속을 들여다보면 웃는 얼굴의 남자가 있습니다. 그래서 ‘이러이러한 남자의 얼굴이 보이는데, 그게 누구요?’라고 물으면, ‘남편입니다.’라고 하는 것입니다. 하나되어 있기 때문에 둘로 갈라질 수가 없습니다. 죽어서도 영원히 함께 살아가는 것입니다. 그렇게 사랑한 남자는 여자의 마음속에 하나되어 있습니다. 또 남자 속에는 사랑하는 부인이 있습니다. 그것이 행복입니다. 결국 이것은 하나님한테 돌아간다는 것입니다. 이성성상의 실체권은 참사랑에 의해서 하나님의 상대로 서서 하나님한테로 돌아가는 것입니다. 정분합입니다. 하나였던 성상과 형상이 갈라졌다가 실체로서 다시 만나는 그것이 남자와 여자의 축복입니다. 여기에 하나님도 와서 하나되고, 남자 여자도 하나되어 여기에서 전부 통일되는 것입니다.

18 남자의 완성은 여자가 없으면 안 된다는 것을 몰랐습니다. 남자 여자가 서로 반쪽이니 서로 위하는 데서만 완전한 존재가 됩니다. 둘이 하나되어 서로 위하기 때문에 하나님이 위해 주면 돌려드릴 수 있는 자격자가 되고, 하나님의 사랑의 상대가 됩니다. 그렇기 때문에 여자는 남자를 완성시키고, 남자는 여자를 완성시켜 남녀의 사랑으로 완성된 패는 하나님의 사랑을 완성시킬 수 있습니다. 하나님보다 높다는 것입니다. 사랑의 상대는 자기보다 높기를 바랍니다. 천 배보다 만 배, 만 배보다도 억만 배, 억만 배보다 무한 억만 배 높기를 바라는 것입니다. 무한 억만 배보다 영원히 무한 억만 배 높기를 원하는 것입니다. 그것이 어디서 왔습니까? 조상으로부터 온 것입니다. 조상의 근본은 하나님이니 하나님으로부터 왔다는 것입니다. 하나님도 자기 사랑의 상대는 자기보다 몇 억만배 훌륭하기를 바라는 것입니다. 이것이 천지의 원칙입니다.

19 아담과 해와가 타락하지 않고 완성하였더라면 축복의 자리에 나가게 되었을 것입니다. 다시 말하면 아담과 해와가 하나님의 실체대상으로서 하나님이 주체가 되면 그들은 대상이 됩니다. 그런 입장에서 사랑의 주체 되시는 하나님으로부터 대상적인 입장의 사랑을 연결시킬 수 있는 터전은 결국 완성함으로써 이루어집니다. 결국 완성은 결혼을 말하는 것이요, 결혼은 하나님의 사랑의 현현을 말하는 것입니다. 결혼이 없었다면 인류세계에 사랑이 시작되지 않습니다. 그 사랑의 주인은 인간이 아니고 하나님입니다. 그 하나님의 사랑이 인간 가운데 나타나게 될 때 참된 사랑이 됩니다. 또 인간 가운데 그 천적인 참된 사랑이 비로소 이뤄지게 될 때 그것이 하나님의 자랑이 되고 기쁨이 되는 것입니다. 하나님적 사랑으로 느낄 수 있는 것입니다.

20 복 중에서 제일 귀한 복은 하나님의 사랑입니다. 첫째는 하나님의 사랑의 복을 받는 것입니다. 그다음엔 하나님의 창조의 권한을 인계받는 것입니다. 하나님이 사랑을 중심삼고 아담과 해와를 창조해 놓고 기뻐하시며 소망을 가진 것과 마찬가지로, 인간에게도 평면적인, 횡적인 기준에서 창조의 권한이 부여된다는 것입니다. 그 기쁨을 부여받는 것이 자녀입니다. 여러분이 자녀를 왜 사랑하지 않을 수 없느냐? 그것은 하나님의 창조의 위업을 횡적인 실체권에서 이어받은 것과 마찬가지이기 때문입니다. 아담과 해와를 지어 놓고 하나님이 기뻐하던 그 기쁨을 인간도 느끼는 것입니다. 하나님의 사랑을 이어받고 하나님의 창조의 권한을 이어받은 것입니다. 하나님이 온 천지만물을 주관하시는 것과 마찬가지로 우리는 횡적인 입장에 있지만 우리에게 만물을 주관할 수 있는 권한을 부여했습니다.

21 여러분은 축복의 가치를 알아야 합니다. 그 한때를 바라는 재림시대에는 축복의 기준을 완결하자는 것입니다. 역사를 대표하고 하늘땅을 대표하고 만민을 대표해서, 섭리의 전체를 대표해서 모든 문제를 해결지어, 모든 것을 결정지어 한 곳으로 넘어옴으로써 신천신지가 출발하게 됩니다. 축복의 관문이 이렇게 엄청난 것입니다. 이것은 이스라엘 민족을 주고도 살 수 없는 것이요, 수많은 선지선열들을 주고도 바꿀 수 없는 것이요, 6천년 동안 하나님이 수고하신 모든 것을 주고도 바꿀 수 없는 것이요, 2천년 동안 예수님과 성신이 수고한 모든 것을 주고도 바꿀 수 없는 것이요, 지금까지 만민이 고생한 모든 것을 주고도 바꿀 수 없는 것입니다.

22 선생님의 생애에서 가장 귀한 것이라고 생각한 것이 무엇이었느냐 하면, 축복이었습니다. 여러분에게 있어서도 역사 이래 최고의 선물은 축복입니다. 하나님의 축복을 받은 자는 하나님의 대신자입니다. 따라서 여러분이 축복을 받으면 가정을 갖추어서 사탄을 굴복시켜야 합니다. 사탄을 심판해야 된다는 것입니다. 그다음에는 사위기대를 복귀하여 승리적인 주관자가 되어야 합니다.

23 하늘부모와 땅 부모가 사랑을 중심삼고 하나되는 것이 결혼식입니다. 첫날에 남자 여자가 합하는 것입니다. 합덕(合德)이라는 말이 있잖아요? 한 몸이 되는 거기에는 하나님이 들어가 있습니다. 내적인 성상 형상인 하나님이 외적인 성상 형상, 아담 해와에게 들어가서 사랑으로 말미암아 두 세계가 하나됩니다. 영적 세계의 보이지 않는 성상과 형상이 플러스요, 보이는 세계의 성상과 형상이 마이너스입니다. 큰 플러스와 큰 마이너스가 비로소 하나됩니다. 어디서 하나되느냐 하면 사랑의 기관에서 하나됩니다. 그렇게 하나되어야만 그 아담과 해와의 몸을 통해서 태어난 아기가 하나님의 아들인 동시에 참부모의 아들이 됩니다.

24 완성을 해서 축복을 받지 못하면 하나님의 형상도 잃어버리고 하나님의 사랑의 상대도 잃어버립니다. 하나님의 뜻대로 되려면 첫째는 형상을 입어 사랑의 상대를 찾아야 되고, 둘째는 가정을 위하고 그 후손을 위해서, 나라를 위해서 아들딸이 필요합니다. 그것이 가정입니다. 가정이 완성되는 날, 그 가정이 성립되는 날 하나님의 형상을 갖게 되고, 사랑의 상대를 갖게 되고, 사랑하는 아들딸을 갖게 됩니다. 그러면 이것이 무엇으로 하나되느냐? 핏줄입니다. 중심 뿌리, 줄기, 순이 전부 하나입니다. 뿌리가 하나입니다. 하나님의 핏줄을 이어받아야 됩니다. 보이지 않는 하나님의 핏줄, 보이는 하나님의 핏줄을 이어받아야 됩니다.

10  統一教会では結婚を祝福といいます。自分が独りで愛を求めていく孤独な道を捨て、男性と女性が孤独なときに互いに慰労することができ、うれしいときに 一緒に喜ぶことができ、困難なときに力になってあげられる相対的立場に立ち、一人は右足になり、一人は左足になり、一人は右手になり、一人は左手になっ て、神様を称賛して神様の愛を自分たちの生活舞台に広げていく生活が結婚生活なのです。

11  人間の先祖であるアダムとエバが堕落したその日から、人間は神様が祝福してくださるひと日を待ち望んできました。その祝福の日のために中間の役割を果 たすのが宗教です。統一教会は、嫡子を探し立て、すべてのものを相続しようとするのです。
 蕩減の過程を経なければ祝福を受けることはできません。その理由はサタンが存在するからです。地上にいる祝福家庭のみ旨に対する基準に従って、相対的に霊 界にいる先祖たちのあらゆることが決定されます。この日のために先生は、精誠を尽くしながら闘ってきました。祝福は、真の父母を継承することです。ですか ら、真の父母がサタン世界と闘った看板を掛けて祝福するのです。

12  祝福が行われる今の時は、神様の願いが成就される最高の時であり、六千年間苦労してきた神様の恨が終わる時であり、この地に来て苦労された神様の息 子、すなわちイエス様の願いが成就される時です。それだけでなく、その息子の家庭を中心として愛が始まる時であり、万物の歓喜と尊敬と栄光を受けることが できる時です。罪悪がすべて消え、光明の太陽が昇る明るい天地を迎える日であり、すべての自然が和同し、すべての動物が踊りを踊るのどかな朝、勝利の朝を 迎える日なのです。

13  結婚する時間は、神様の愛を相続する時間です。そして、再創造の権限を相続します。神様がアダムとエバを造っておいて感じられたその喜びが、結婚を通 して広がるのです。その次には、主管圏が広がります。完成圏で祝福を受けることによって、このように一番貴いものを受け継ぐようになります。ですから、結 婚式というのは、愛の顕現をいうのであり、理想的な創造圏を賦与されることをいうのであり、主体者や対象者として互いに主管圏を賦与されることをいうので す。

14  神様が男性と女性を造り、三大祝福をしてくださったのは何であったかというと、家庭完成の理念によるものでした。「生めよ、ふえよ……地に動くすべて の生き物とを治めよ」(創世記一・二八)と言われた三大祝福は、個人が完成するものではありません。家庭において完成するものです。ですから、家庭は個人 が定着できる安息の場です。一つの理想の基地です。いくら優れた男性や優れた女性だとしても、その家庭に父母がいなければならず、夫婦がいなければなら ず、兄弟がいなければならないのです。

15  なぜ絶対的に男性には女性が必要で、女性には男性が必要なのでしょうか。絶対的な愛のためです。絶対的な愛は、なぜ必要なのでしょうか。神様を占領す るためです。なぜ神様を占領しなければならないのでしょうか。神様を占領すれば、神様が「私」のものになるからです。愛には相続権があり、同居権と同参権 もあります。ですから、神様が私のものになり、神様の被造物すべてが私のものになるのです。

16  結婚の目的は、自己完成と宇宙の主管にあります。自己完成とともに宇宙を掌握し、未来の世界を包容するのです。自分を完成して神様を占領し、永遠に神 様と共に創造理想を完成することに協助した相手として残ろうというのです。ですから、神様が善の息子、娘を創造されたので、善の息子、娘をたくさん生ん で、育てなければなりません。子女を生もうとしないのは罪です。
そのようにして神様が治める世界、神様が創造された被造世界を無限に拡張するのです。神様が御覧になって喜ばれる理想世界をつくるのです。これが三大祝福 です。個性を完成すれば、神様が治める世界に対する所有権が生じます。そうなると、喜びが倍加されます。子女を繁殖すれば、横的な世界に喜びが満ちあふれ るのです。

17  霊界に行ってある女性の中をのぞいてみると、笑っている顔の男性がいます。それで、「男性の顔が見えますが、それは誰ですか」と尋ねれば、「夫です」 と言うのです。一つになっているので、二つに分けられません。死んでも、永遠に共に生きていくのです。そのように愛し合った男性は、女性の胸の中で一つに なっています。また男性の中には愛する夫人がいます。それが幸福です。結局、これは神様に帰るということです。
 二性性相の実体圏は、真の愛によって神様の相対として立ち、神様のところに帰るのです。正分合です。一つだった性相と形状が分かれたあと、実体としてまた 出会う、それが男性と女性の祝福です。ここに神様も来て一つになり、男性と女性も一つになって、ここですべて統一されるのです。

18  男性の完成は女性がいなければできない、ということが分かりませんでした。男性と女性は互いに半分なので、互いにために生きるところでのみ、完全な存 在になります。二人が一つになって互いにために生きるので、神様がために生きてくだされば、お返ししてさしあげる資格をもつ者になり、神様の愛の相対にな ります。
ですから、女性は男性を完成させ、男性は女性を完成させて、男女の愛で完成した人たちは、神様の愛を完成させることができます。神様より偉大だというので す。愛の相対は自分より優れていることを願います。千倍より万倍、万倍よりも億万倍、億万倍より無限億万倍優れていることを願うのです。無限億万倍より永 遠に無限億万倍優れていることを願うのです。それはどこから来ましたか。先祖から来たのです。先祖の根本は神様なので、神様から来たというのです。神様も 自分の愛の相対は自分より何億万倍優れていることを願うのです。これが天地の原則です。

19  アダムとエバが堕落せずに完成していれば、祝福の場に参加していたはずです。言い換えれば、アダムとエバは、神様の実体対象として、神様が主体となれ ば彼らは対象になります。そのような立場で、愛の主体となられる神様から対象的な立場の愛を連結させることのできる土台は、結局、完成することによって形 成されます。
 完成とは、結婚のことをいうのであり、結婚とは神様の愛の顕現をいうのです。結婚がなければ、人類世界に愛が始まりません。その愛の主人は、人間ではなく 神様です。その神様の愛が人間の中に現れるようになるとき、真の愛になります。また、人間の中にその天的な真の愛が形成されるようになるとき、それが神様 の誇りとなり、喜びとなるのです。神様の愛として感じることができるのです。

20  福の中で最も貴い福は、神様の愛です。最初は、神様の愛の福を受けるのです。その次には、神様の創造の権限を引き継ぐのです。神様が愛を中心としてア ダムとエバを創造し、喜ばれて希望をもったのと同じように、人間にも平面的な、横的な基準で創造の権限が賦与されるというのです。その喜びを賦与されるの が子女です。
 皆さんは、なぜ子女を愛さざるを得ないのでしょうか。それは、神様の創造の偉業を横的な実体圏で受け継いだのと同じだからです。アダムとエバを造って神様 が喜んだ、その喜びを人間も感じるのです。神様の愛を受け継ぎ、神様の創造の権限を受け継いだのです。神様が全天地万物を主管されるのと同じように、私た ちは横的な立場にありますが、私たちに万物を主管できる権限を賦与したのです。

21  皆さんは、祝福の価値を知らなければなりません。その一時を望む再臨時代には、祝福の基準を完結しようというのです。歴史を代表し、天地を代表し、万 民を代表して、摂理の全体を代表してすべての問題を解決し、すべてのものを決定して一カ所に越えてくることによって、新天新地が出発するようになります。 祝福の関門とは、このように途方もないのです。これは、イスラエル民族を差し出しても買えないものであり、数多くの預言者や烈士たちと取り替えられないも のであり、六千年間神様が苦労されたすべてのものとも取り替えられないものであり、二千年間イエス様と聖霊が苦労したすべてのものとも取り替えられないも のであり、今まで万民が苦労したすべてのものとも取り替えられないものなのです。

22  先生の生涯で最も貴いと考えたものが何だったかというと、祝福でした。皆さんにとっても、有史以来、最高の贈り物は祝福です。神様の祝福を受けた者 は、神様の代身者です。したがって、皆さんが祝福を受ければ、家庭を備えてサタンを屈服させなければなりません。サタンを審判しなければならないというの です。その次には、四位基台を復帰して勝利的な主管者にならなければなりません。

23  天の父母と地の父母が愛を中心として一つになるのが結婚式です。初日に男性と女性が一つになるのです。「合徳」という言葉があるでしょう。一つの体に なったところには神様が入っています。内的な性相と形状である神様が外的な性相と形状、アダムとエバに入り、愛によって二つの世界が一つになります。
 霊的世界の見えない性相と形状がプラスであり、見える世界の性相と形状がマイナスです。大きなプラスと大きなマイナスが初めて一つになります。どこで一つ になるのかといえば、愛の器官で一つになります。そのように一つになってこそ、そのアダムとエバの体を通して生まれた子女が、神様の息子であると同時に真 の父母の息子になるのです。

24  完成して祝福を受けることができなければ、神様の形状も失い、神様の愛の相対も失います。神様のみ旨どおりになろうとすれば、第一に、形状をまとって 愛の相対を探さなければならず、第二に、家庭のために、その子孫のために、国のために息子、娘が必要です。それが家庭です。家庭が完成する日、その家庭が 成立する日、神様の形状をもつようになり、愛の相対をもつようになり、愛する息子、娘をもつようになります。それでは、これが何で一つになるのでしょう か。血統です。中心の根と幹と芽がすべて一つです。根が一つです。神様の血統を受け継がなければなりません。見えない神様の血統と、見える神様の血統を受 け継がなければならないのです。

10 In the Unification Church, we call marriage the “Blessing.” The life of a married person is such that a man and woman who had been alone on their path to seek love abandon that path and stand as complements to each other- comforting each other when they feel lonely, sharing joy together when they feel joy and giving each other strength during difficulties. In this way, one becomes the right foot and the other the left; one becomes the right hand and the other the left. Together they praise God, saying they are moving forward with God’s love superimposed on the theater of their lives. (101-033, 1978.10.28)

11 From the time of the Fall of Adam and Eve, our first ancestors, people have waited eagerly for the day when God would bless them. Religion has played the role of mediator between God and humankind until the day the Blessing is given. The Unification Church seeks to find legitimate children to whom everything can be bequeathed. Because of Satan, people cannot receive the Blessing without going through the process of indemnity. Even the lives of ancestors in the spirit world are determined by how much blessed couples on the earth are aligned with God’s Will. I have been making the utmost effort and fighting for the sake of this day. The Blessing means we can inherit a relationship with the True Parents. That is why True Parents conduct the Blessing under the same banner they used while fighting against Satan’s world. (19-023, 1967.11.14)

12 The era in which the Blessing is given is the most important time. It is the time when God’s wishes can finally be fulfilled and His grief of the past six thousand years can be resolved. It is also the time when the wishes of Jesus, who came to earth as the Son of God for all humanity, can be fulfilled. Moreover, it is the moment when people can truly love for the first time since their creation, and receive respect, honor and joy from the rest of creation. On that day, all evil will disappear and we will usher in a new era with the bright rays of the ascending sun. Nature will rejoice, everything in the universe will dance with joy and we will welcome a bright new morning, the new morning of victory. (19-106, 1967.12.31)

13 The time of marriage is the time when one inherits the love of God. It is also the time we inherit the authority of re-creation. The joy God felt after He created Adam and Eve appears through marriage. After that, the right of dominion commences. Through receiving the Blessing in the realm of perfection, things of the greatest value are inherited. What we call our wedding ceremony therefore refers to the manifestation of love; it refers to our being given the right to create, and it refers to us as subject partner and object partner receiving the right of dominion over each other. 14 God’s reason for creating man and woman and giving them the three great blessings was to complete a family. The three great blessings—that is, to be fruitful, to multiply and to fill the earth—are not something that an individual can fulfill alone. They can only be fulfilled within a family. Therefore the family is a secure environment in which individuals can establish themselves. It is the ideal foundation for that. No matter how great a man or a woman may be, there must be a father and mother, a husband and wife and brothers and sisters in their family. (261-044, 1994.05.22)

15 Why is it that women are absolutely needed by men and men by women? It is for the sake of absolute love. Why is absolute love needed? It is in order to possess God. If someone possesses God, God belongs to that person. Within that love is the right to inherit from God, the right to live together with God and the right to participate with God. Therefore within love, God becomes ours, as does everything of God’s creation. (222-025, 1991.10.27)

16 The purpose of marriage is self-perfection and dominion over the universe. When one perfects himself, he seizes control of the universe and embraces the world of the future. Marrying is a statement that we will perfect ourselves and come to possess God. Thus, we will eternally remain as a counterpart of God, one who has assisted Him in realizing His ideal of creation. Since God created good sons and daughters, we should also give birth to and raise many good sons and daughters. Having children is a serious matter. Through giving birth to children, we infinitely expand the world that God governs, the world that God created. And we create the ideal world that God can enjoy. This is the content of the three great blessings. When we perfect our individual nature, we attain the right of ownership of the world that God governs. When that happens, our joy is multiplied. When we produce children, joy overflows in the horizontal world. (246-253, 1993.04.18)

17 If you look at a woman in the spirit world, you will see the smiling face of a man within her. If you ask, “I see the face of such-and-such a man within you. Who is he?” She will answer, “He is my husband.” When two are united into one, they cannot be separated afterward. They live together for eternity after they die. In this way, the man whom the woman loved remains one with her in her heart. Likewise, within a man is his beloved wife. That is happiness. Eventually this happiness will be shared with God. The right of substantial beings with dual characteristics is to stand as God’s counterparts through true love and to return to God. This is the meaning of origin-di- vision-union. The united internal nature and external form divide and then come together again as substantial beings. This is the Blessing of a man and a woman. God comes to dwell in them, becoming one with them. The man and woman become one, and everything is brought into unity. (250-108, 1993.10.12)

18 You did not realize that a man’s perfection is impossible without a woman. A man and a woman are each half of one being that is only completed when they serve each other. The two become one and live for each other, and thus return God’s grace, and they become the object partners of God’s love. This is the reason that the woman brings perfection to the man, the man brings perfection to the woman, and the love of the two of them brings perfection to God’s love. Thus they are in a sense greater than God. All of us wish that the counterpart of our love would be greater than we are. We wish for our counterpart to be not just a thousand times greater but ten thousand times greater! Not ten thousand times but one hundred million times greater! Instead of one hundred million times, one hundred million times infinity times greater than we are! Instead of being one hundred million times infinity times greater than we are, we want the counterpart of our love to be eternally one hundred million times infinity times greater! From where does this desire come? It comes from our ancestors. Since the root of our ancestors is God, it comes ultimately from God. Even God wants the counterpart of His love to be many hundreds of millions times greater than He. This is the imperative of heaven and earth. (268-155, 1995.03.31)

19 If Adam and Eve had not fallen and instead had become perfected, they would have experienced their Blessing ceremony. In other words, Adam and Eve were to have been the substantial object partners of God. With Him as the subject partner, they automatically should have become the object partners. As the object partners, they should have achieved individual perfection. This would have been the foundation upon which they could have connected their objective love to God, the subject partner of love, and fulfilled the Blessing through marriage. In the end, perfection refers to marriage, and marriage refers to the manifestation of God’s love. If marriage did not exist, love would never have begun in the human world. The owner of that love is not humanity; it is God. When that love of God appears within human beings, it becomes true love. When that heavenly true love is realized for the first time within humanity, it becomes the pride and joy of God. That is the feeling of God’s love. (76-040, 1975.01.26)

20 The most precious of all blessings is to receive the love of God. The first thing is to receive the blessing of God’s love. Next, one is to inherit God’s authority over creation. Just as God created Adam and Eve based on love, thereby feeling joy and hope, all people, equally and universally, are meant to have the authority of creation. They receive this same joy when they have children. Why is it that you cannot help but love your children? It is because having children is equivalent to inheriting God’s great work of creation in the horizontal realm. People can feel the joy that God felt after He created Adam and Eve. We can inherit the love of God and God’s creative power. God oversees the earth, the heavens and all created things. Even though we occupy a horizontal position, God gives us the authority of dominion over all the creation. (76-046, 1975.01.26)

21 You must know the value of the Blessing. In the age of the Second Coming, we should complete the standard of the Blessing. The new heaven and new earth begin when God resolves all the issues representing history, heaven and earth, all people and the entire providence. Then He will decide all things and transfer everything to one place. The gates of the Blessing are that astonishing. The Blessing is so great that you could not buy it even if you offered the nation of Israel, or the countless prophets and patriotic martyrs, or all the works of God for six thousand years, or all of Jesus’ and the Holy Spirit’s works for two thousand years, or even all the suffering endured by all humanity to this day. 22 I consider the Blessing to have been the most precious gift in my life. For you also, the greatest gift in human history is the Blessing. Those who have received God’s Blessing represent God. Therefore when you receive the Blessing, you must start a family and bring Satan to his knees. You have to bring Satan to judgment. After that, you need to actualize the four-position foundation and become a victorious person with dominion over the creation. (23-317, 1969.06.08)

23 The marriage ceremony is how the Heavenly Parent and the earthly parents become one through love. The man and woman join into one on the first day. You have heard the phrase “joining in virtue,” haven’t you? The place where you become one body is where God enters. Two worlds unite into one when God, who is the inner internal nature and external form, enters Adam and Eve, who are the outer internal nature and external form, through the power of love. The invisible internal nature and external form of the spirit world is the plus, while the internal nature and external form of the visible world is the minus. A large plus becomes one with a large minus for the first time. The place where they unite is the love organs. It is only when they unite that way that a baby born through the bodies of Adam and Eve will not only be God’s child but also True Parents’ child. (286-088, 1997.08.09)

24 If you do not receive the Blessing after attaining perfection, you will lose the chance to be God’s external form and also to be the object partner of God’s love. For things to happen in line with God’s Will, He must first take on an external form and find an object partner for His love. Then He needs sons and daughters who will serve the family, descendants and nation. That is the family. On the day the family is perfected, God comes to have an external form. He comes to have an object partner for His love and sons and daughters. How is all this unified? It is unified through the lineage. The central root, stem and buds are all one. You have to receive God’s lineage. The root is one. You have to receive the lineage of the invisible God and the lineage of the visible God. (286-016, 1997.07.01)
