<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> We spent shorter time for introduction and catching up to allot more time for the study itself. ㅋㅋ So after a simple brief introduction, we heard a bit of Sancho's story of a business trip to Latin America since he showed up after a long time.</SPAN></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> We divided into 3 groups for discussion, and in my gorup with Alex and Sancho, we had super academic topics about education system in German, and a plan after retirement, capitalism as a monster which jeopardizes our lives, and elaborated with specific examples extracted from internet, articles and books, trying to find a way to slove our society's problems that bear on the issue. It was sooooo academic and intense that I felt a bit tired but with gratifications. :) </SPAN></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> We debated over the issue of Elle's cover that featured an over-sized actress covered under the bulky coat, which causes a lot of stirs in US.</SPAN></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> I decided to allocate more time to reading, checking the vocabularies, and summarizing paragraph by paragraph since we didn't really understand right away after reading together. Hopefully this way satisfied you all. </SPAN></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> Anyways, o</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">ne side believed there's no problem that Elle motified a bit, and covered her big figure e with a huge coat, because this magazie is going for a profit by leading fashion trend, Elle has to make her beautiful based on common standard and we cannot blame Elle for doing so. Plus, she is still not skinny like any other models, so people would find beauty in plus size woman. Also, being obese is not good for health, so showing her in a little bit slenderer way would encourage over wieght people to try to lose a bit of weight.</SPAN></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> However the other side insisted that making an over-size woman look way less big is sending off the wrong message that media and those kind of fashion magazines has been spreading, which is that only skinny girl can be pretty. It is time for them to change their concept of beauty, and show that anyone, any size of women can be gorgeous and attractive exactly the way they are.</SPAN></SPAN></P>
