The forest fell silent once again.
The blazing flames gradually died down, and only a faint breeze passed through the charred blackened trees.
Gais looked around.
“…It's quiet
Dryard knelt on the floor.
As I placed my hand on the earth, the energy of the forest slowly spread out.
“…No."
"There are still things that are alive
At that moment.
From far away in the forest, the sound of a giant footsteps echoed.
Then the trees began to fall one by one in a row.
"It's coming!"
Several giant earth trolls appeared, bearing rocks on their shoulders, and behind them the Satirops warriors and the remnants of the spider goblins surged forward again.
Above the sky, the lone-worm archers began leaping across the branches and raining down poisonous arrows.
Gais turned the spear and took a stance.
“Open the way first.”
Lightning gathered in both hands.
"Thunder Brake!"
Dozens of flashes of lightning split through the enemy lines and fell.
The spider webs blazed, and the venomous spiders fell from the tree.
But immediately, the earth troll threw the huge rock.
Gais swung his sword widely.
"Vision Slash!"
The blue sword energy split the rock straight across.
The shattered rock scattered in all directions.
Dryad drew out the power of the forest.
The thick vines and roots broke through the ground and climbed up, binding the trolls’ legs.
"Now!"
Gais leapt up just as it was.
"Ice drill!"
The spinning giant ice awl pierced the troll’s chest and pushed even the Satirobs behind it away.
Then the spider cavalry goblins tried to launch a coordinated attack from both sides.
Gais spun his body.
Dozens of rotating blades spread out in circles.
The spider’s leg was severed, and the goblins’ weapons were hurled into the air.
Soon after, he extended his hand forward.
"Vision, go!"
Blue magic bullets were fired in succession, exploding throughout the enemy lines.
The shock of the explosion pushed the Satirops warriors back, and the spiderweb nest collapsed.
The remaining enemies began their final charge.
Gais raised the spear high.
"Fireless Heaven."
Dozens of spear-like beams of red flame poured down from the sky.
Then the ascending flames exploded one after another, painting the battlefield red.
When the flames died down, the remaining spider goblins and Satirops lost their will to fight and began fleeing deep into the forest.
Dryard, looking at the enemies fading away, spoke quietly.
"That’s not a defeated state."
"I'm trying to join a larger group."
Gais drew back his spear and nodded.
"Then we’ll go after it first."
The two passed through the collapsed spider web and set off once more toward a deeper, darker forest.
