시113:1

한나의 기도와 리아의 기도로 이어지는 시편, 메시아의 도래를 찬미 하는 시편입니다. 113-118편은 이스라엘이 유월절을 기념하는 식탁에서 부르는 노래들로 안식을 잃어버리고 애굽의 노예로 살아가던 이스라엘에 새 역사의 장이 열릴 때 이 시편이 그들의 고백이었습니다. 아마도 높아질 궁리 대신에 낮아질 궁리를 작정하신 분은 하나님 뿐 일 것입니다. 나와 다른 자, 특히 나보다 약한 자를 거절하고 밀어내며 혐오하는 세상에서 오히려 약한 자를 세상에 중심으로 세우시려는 분도 그 분 뿐일 것입니다.

The Psalm leading to Hannah's prayer and Lia's prayer, and the Psalm praising the arrival of the Messiah. Psalm 113-118 was Israel's confession when a new chapter of history opened in Israel, where Israel lost its rest and was living as a slave in Egypt with songs at the table commemorating the Passover. Perhaps God is the only one who decided to go lower instead of higher. He may be the only one who refuses and pushes the weak, especially those who are weaker than me, and tries to put the weak at the center of the world.

마음 속 웅덩이에 근심 대신 기쁨만 고이도록 도와주시는 분 그 분은 여호와 입니다. 이하 생략하더라도 여호와 하나님의 이름은 언제나, 언제까지나(영원까지), 어디에서나(해 돋는 데부터 해지는 데까지) 찬양을 받으시기에 합당합니다. 그러니 여호와의 종들은 하나님께서 자신들을 풍성하게 채우신 것을 기억하고 고백하는 예배로 주께 나아가야 합니다. 세상에 그 분 외에 그 같은 주목과 찬사를 받아야 할 존재는 없어야 합니다. 찬양은 결코 남이 대신해 줄 수 없으며, 감상하고 은혜 받는 대상도 아닙니다.

It is Jehovah who helps me to only bring joy to the puddle of my heart instead of anxiety. Even if omitted below, the name of Jehovah is always, always (to eternity), and everywhere (from sunrise to sunset). So Jehovah's servants should proceed to the Lord as a service to remember and confess that God has filled them in abundance. There should be no other person in the world to receive such attention and praise. Praise can never be replaced by others, nor is it an object of appreciation and grace.

그분을 아는 만큼, 겪은 만큼, 깨달은 만큼 찬양도 풍성해질 것입니다. 하나님은 입술만이 아니라 마음으로, 마음만이 아니라 손과 발로, 또 삶으로 드리는 삶을 기대하십니다. 하늘과 땅에서 여호와의 위대하심과 견줄 수 있는 것은 없습니다. 그분의 영광보다 더 찬란한 것도 없습니다. 모든 나라도 그분의 주권 앞에 엎드리며, 하늘도 그분의 영광을 선포합니다. 그렇게 높으신 여호와는 ‘멀리 있는 신’이 아니라 ‘우리 하나님이 되십니다.

As much as you know him, as much as you have experienced him, as much as you have realized, you will be full of praise. God expects a life that is given not only by lips but also by heart, but by heart, by hands and feet, and by life. There is nothing in heaven and earth that can match Jehovah's greatness. Nothing is more glorious than his glory. All nations lie face down before his sovereignty, and heaven declares his glory. The Lord, who is so high, is not God in the distance, but Our God.

높은 곳에서 지으신 모든 것을 통치하시는 여호와께서 친히 자신을 낮추어 하늘 아래 지으신 것들을 굽어 살피십니다. 천하보다 크신 우리 하나님께서 내 모든 처지와 형편을 바라보고 아십니다. 그분의 주권을 넘어설 수 있는 것은 아무 것도 없습니다. 그러니 두려워 말고 염려하지도 말고 그 통치 앞에 엎드릴 수밖에요. 스스로 낮추 사 이 세상을 살피신 후 세상의 낮고 천한 자, 수치와 조롱 가운데 있는 자, 약하고 무식한 자를 들어서 강한 자, 존귀한자, 가진 자들을 부끄럽게 하십니다.

The Lord, who rules over everything that has been built from a high place, has lowered himself and examined what has been built under heaven. Our God, who is greater than the world, knows all my situations and circumstances. There is nothing beyond his sovereignty. Therefore, there is no choice but to face down before his rule without fear or concern. After looking at the world by yourself, he shames the strong, the noble, and the haves by raising the low and lowly, the middle of shame and ridicule, and the weak and the ignorant.

그래서 아무도 하나님 앞에서 자랑하지 못하게 하십니다. 자녀가 없어 소망이 없는 어머니에게 자녀를 안겨 주셔서 기쁨을 되찾아 주십니다. 시인은 아마도 애급의 거름더미에 앉은 것 같은 이스라엘이 부르짖는 소리를 들으시고 열방 가운데 제사장 나라로 세워 주신 하나님께서, 이제도 바벨론 포로에서 자기 백성을 건져내어 새로운 이스라엘을 탄생하게 해 주실 것을 기대하고 있는지 모릅니다(사54:1-3). 그분의 능력 있는 손에 붙들리면, 근심의 옷을 벗고 희락의 옷을 입을 날이 오게 하실 것입니다. 여호와의 이름을 찬양하지 않을 수 없게 하실 것입니다. 주님은 무엇을 찾아 낮은 곳에 오시는가?

So that no one can boast before God. He brings back joy by giving children to a mother who has no children and no hope. The poet may hear Israel cry, as if she were sitting in the manure of Egypt, and he expects God, who has made her a kingdom of priests in the middle of the room, to lift her people out of the prisoners of Babylon and give birth to a new Israel (Psalm 54:1-3). He will take off his clothes of sorrow and make them wear his clothes of joy if he is held in his power. He will be forced to praise the name of the Lord. What is the LORD looking for?

놀라운 구원역사로 찬양 받으실 주님! 우리가 언제라도, 어디서라도 찬양해야 하는 이유는, 높으신 하나님이 여기에도, 여기까지 오셨기 때문입니다. 하나님께서 가난한 자와 궁핍한 자를 건져내시고자 먼지 더미, 거름 더미를 마다치 않으셨으니 주여, 소외되고 불임 중인 이웃을 먼저 돌아보는 성도가 되게 하옵소서.

O Lord, who will be praised for his remarkable history of salvation! The reason we should praise anytime, anywhere is that the God of God has come here and there. O Lord, let us be the saints who look first at the marginalized and infertile neighbors, for God did not mind the dust and manure to bring out the poor and the needy.
