 관광지로 유명한 미시건 호와 가까우며 트라버스 시에서 16마일 떨어진 곳에 

위치한 인터라켄 아트 스쿨은 예술적 재능을 가진 학생들에게 학문적 소양 위에서 젊은 창조력을 바탕으로 자신의 재능을 발전시킬 수 있는 기회를 제공한다.  

특히 음악 교육 프로그램이 명문이기로 유명하며 미술교육, 컴퓨터 그래픽 등의 분야에서도 학생들이 뛰어난 성과를 보이며 각종 대회에서 수상을 하고 있다.

 학업 성적이 뛰어난 학생들을 위해 우등반과 AP 코스, ESL 프로그램이 운영되고 있다.  

창작 예술을 전공하는 학생은 포트폴리오나 오디션을 봐야 하며, 작문, 음악, 연극, 무용 등을 전공하는 학생은 학업 성과에 따라 반 편성이 이루어진다.

 교내 시설로는 강당, 극장, 예배당, 도서관, 기숙사 등이 있다.

 주말에는 학교에서 제공하는 셔틀버스로 시내로 나갈 수 있고 음악회나 외부인사 초청공연 외 다양한 문화행사에 참여할 수 있다.  

해마다 교내에서 250개 이상의 예술 프로그램이 제공되고, 다양한 체육활동을 위한 시설과 구장이 마련되어 있다.
