SEOUL // More mosques and halal restaurants and a better understanding of Islam are needed in South Korea to encourage Middle East students to study there, a survey has revealed.

... “Islam is part of their everyday life and many felt there was little in the way of halal food and too few mosques,” Mr Park said. “More temples need to be built in Korea. Also, meat that is not slaughtered in accordance with Islamic law cannot be consumed.

할랄고기가 제대로 공급되지 않고 있다는 의견이다. 많은 무슬림들이 고기를 먹기 어렵기 때문에 건강관리에도 문제가 된다는 생각을 표하고 있었다.

“It means many have difficulty eating out. Many Muslims we spoke to were not eating meat at all. They were suffering from a very unhealthy diet.”....
