           Ruts And Routines    습관과 일상

               Daniel 6:1-10

 

[단] 6:1	It pleased Darius to appoint 120 satraps to rule throughout the kingdom,
[단] 6:2	with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss.
[단] 6:3	Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.
[단] 6:4	At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.
[단] 6:5	Finally these men said, "We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God."
[단] 6:6	So the administrators and the satraps went as a group to the king and said: "O King Darius, live forever!
[단] 6:7	The royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or man during the next thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be thrown into the lions' den.
[단] 6:8	Now, O king, issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered- -in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed."
[단] 6:9	So King Darius put the decree in writing.
[단] 6:10	Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

[단] 6:1	다리오가 자기의 뜻대로 고관 백이십 명을 세워 전국을 통치하게 하고
[단] 6:2	또 그들 위에 총리 셋을 두었으니 다니엘이 그 중의 하나이라 이는 고관들로 총리에게 자기의 직무를 보고하게 하여 왕에게 손해가 없게 하려 함이었더라
[단] 6:3	다니엘은 마음이 민첩하여 총리들과 고관들 위에 뛰어나므로 왕이 그를 세워 전국을 다스리게 하고자 한지라
[단] 6:4	이에 총리들과 고관들이 국사에 대하여 다니엘을 고발할 근거를 찾고자 하였으나 아무 근거, 아무 허물도 찾지 못하였으니 이는 그가 충성되어 아무 그릇됨도 없고 아무 허물도 없음이었더라
[단] 6:5	그들이 이르되 이 다니엘은 그 하나님의 율법에서 근거를 찾지 못하면 그를 고발할 수 없으리라 하고
[단] 6:6	이에 총리들과 고관들이 모여 왕에게 나아가서 그에게 말하되 다리오 왕이여 만수무강 하옵소서
[단] 6:7	나라의 모든 총리와 지사와 총독과 법관과 관원이 의논하고 왕에게 한 법률을 세우며 한 금령을 정하실 것을 구하나이다 왕이여 그것은 곧 이제부터 삼십일 동안에 누구든지 왕 외의 어떤 신에게나 사람에게 무엇을 구하면 사자 굴에 던져 넣기로 한 것이니이다
[단] 6:8	그런즉 왕이여 원하건대 금령을 세우시고 그 조서에 왕의 도장을 찍어 메대와 바사의 고치지 아니하는 규례를 따라 그것을 다시 고치지 못하게 하옵소서 하매
[단] 6:9	이에 다리오 왕이 조서에 왕의 도장을 찍어 금령을 내니라
[단] 6:10	다니엘이 이 조서에 왕의 도장이 찍힌 것을 알고도 자기 집에 돌아가서는 윗방에 올라가 예루살렘으로 향한 창문을 열고 전에 하던 대로 하루 세 번씩 무릎을 꿇고 기도하며 그의 하나님께 감사하였더라

 여름은 내가 좋아하는 계절입니다. 나는 판에 박힌 일상을 옆으로 제쳐놓을 수 있는 느긋한 날들을 즐깁니다.

새로운 일을 하고, 새로운 곳에 가보고,

“경치가 좋은 길”을 여행할 수 있는 여유가 내 영을 되살리고 나의 삶과 일에 대한 열정을 새롭게 불러 일으켜줍니다.

Summer is my favorite season.

I love the leisurely days when I can set aside some of my routines without feeling guilty.

Doing new things, seeing new places, and allowing myself the time to take

“the scenic route” revive my spirit and renew my enthusiasm for life and work.

하지만 여름은 또한 좋은 습관들이 흐트러지는 위험한 시기이기도 합니다.

정해진 일상 중에는 유익한 것도 있습니다.

일의 효율을 증진시키고 중요한 일들을 끝마칠 수 있도록 해주기 때문입니다.

단언하건대 어떤 일들에 있어서는 정해진 시간과 장소가 따로 필요합니다.

그렇지 않으면 세상은 혼돈에 빠지고 말 것입니다.

모든 창조물은 정해진 일정에 따라 운행하게 되어 있고, 그 중의 하나인 인간도 마찬가지입니다.

우리는 주기적으로 잠자고 먹어야합니다.

But summer can also be a dangerous time of breaking good habits.

Certain routines are good.

They increase our efficiency and ensure that important things get done.

After all, we need to have fixed times and places for certain things

or the world would be chaotic.

Creation is designed to operate on schedule,

and, as part of it, so are we.

We need food and sleep at regular intervals.

어떤 이들은 우리의 일상이 습관이 되는 것에 대해 이유 있는 경고를 합니다.

하지만 성경은 어떤 일들을 정해진 시간에 하는 것에 대해서 좋게 말하고 있습니다.

다윗은 아침시간이 하나님을 찬양하고 하나님의 인도하심을 구하기에 적합한 시간이라고 했습니다(시 5:3; 143:8).

그리고 다니엘은 하루에 세 번 기도를 했는데, 죽음의 위협까지도 그 일상을 바꾸지 못했습니다(단 6:10).

We sometimes hear legitimate warnings about allowing routines to turn into ruts.

But the Bible indicates that having set times for certain things is good.

David indicated that morning was the right time for him to praise God

and ask for His direction (Ps. 5:3; 143:8).

And Daniel prayed three times a day,

and not even the threat of death made him change his routine (Dan. 6:10).

여유로운 날들을 보내는 중에도

하나님과 함께 시간을 보내는 것을 게을리 해서는 안 됩니다.

매일매일 영적인 영양분을 공급받는 것은 계절에 관계없는 일상이어야 합니다.

While enjoying carefree days,

we must not become careless about spending time with God.

Savoring spiritual sustenance is a routine for all seasons.

은혜를 새롭게 공급받으며 더욱 힘차게 전진할 수 있네 아무도 모르는, 조용한 장소에서 매일 매일 주님을 만난다면 오직 여호와를 앙망하는 자는 새 힘을 얻으리니. -이사야 40:31
