제 7급......有早(유조)......어린 나이에 행함이 있음......第293事

 Level 7 : Yu-jo(有早,유조)... Behaving appropriately at young age... Item No. 293.

有早(유조)는 어린 나이에  착함을 행함이 있는 것이다.

  Yu-jo(有早,유조) means practicing goodness from a young age.

사람은 어려서 의지를 정하지 못하고 학문이 두루 미치지 못한다.

  When people are young, their determination is not  yet firmly set,

   and their learning isnot comperhensive.

지혜의 문이 열렸다 닫혔다 하고 국량이 깜깜했다 밝았다 하지만

능히 작은 일을 할 수 있다면 가히그 福(복)을 받을 수 있게 된다.

  The door to wisdom may open and close, and one′s capacity / mindset may alternate between 

   gloom and clarity. However, if one is capable of accomplishing even small tasks,

   one becomes worthy of receiving blessings.

有早者는 有早年爲善也라 (유조자는 유조년위선야라)

  Yu-jo(Early Goodness) refers to practicing goodness in one′s  early years. 

人之幼也에 志未定하며 (인지유야에 地미정하며)

  When people are young, their will / determination is not yet firmly set,

學未浹하여 慧竇開閉하고 (학미정하여 혜두개폐하고)

  and their learning is not yet deep or thorough, so the gate of wisdom opens and closes,

局量晦明이 能爲善事하니 (국량회명이 능위선사하니)

  and their mindset alternates between dimness and clarity ;

  yet if they are able to perform good deeds,

可領其福이니라.(가령기복이니라.)

  They are worthy of receiving its blessings.

 [Explanation, 풀이]

어떠한 진리이든 그 핵심은 "善(선)을 실천하라."는 내용일 수 밖에 없다.

  No matter what the truth is, its core must inevitably be: "Practice goodness(善,선).

이 내용을 깨우치기 위해 평생을 걸려 죽기 전에 늦게 진리를 깨닭는다해도 善(선)을 실천하기에는 이미 늦었다.

  Even if one spends a lifetime trying to realize thia truth and finally awakens to it late in ilfe right

   before dying, it is already too late to actually practice goodness.

차라리 그 진리를 아직 모른다 해도 善(선)을 실천할 수 있다면

진리를 알고도 실천을 못하는 것보다는 월등하게 나은 것이라고 말할 수 있다. 

  Rather, even if one does not yet fully understand that truth, if one can actually practice goodness,

  It can be said to be far ssuperior to knowing the truth yet failing to put it into practice.
