사무엘의 말이 온 이스라엘에 전파되니라

사무엘의 말이 온 이스라엘에 전파되니라                                                                             (삼상4:1~22)  삼상4:1   사무엘의 말이 온 이스라엘에 전파되니라 이스라엘은 나가서 블레셋 사람과 싸우려고 에벤에셀 곁에 진 치고 블레셋 사람은 아벡에 진 쳤더니1Sa4:1   And the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out against the Philistines to battle, and pitched beside Ebenezer: and the Philistines pitched in Aphek.삼상4:2   이스라엘을 대하여 항오를 벌이니라 그 둘이 싸우다가 이스라엘이 블레셋 사람앞에서 패하여 그들에게 전쟁에서 죽임을 당한 군사가 사천명 가량이라1Sa4:2   And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field about four thousand men.삼상4:3   백성이 진으로 돌아오매 이스라엘 장로들이 가로되 여호와께서 어찌하여 우리로 오늘 블레셋사람 앞에 패하게 하셨는고 여호와의 언약궤를 실로에서 우리에게로 가져다가 우리 중에 있게하여 그것으로 우리를 우리 원수들의 손에서 구원하게 하자 하니1Sa4:3   And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.삼상4:4   이에 백성이 실로에 보내어 그룹 사이에 계신 만군의 여호와의 언약궤를 거기서 가져왔고 엘리의 두 아들 홉니와 비느하스는 하나님의 언약궤와 함께 거기 있었더라1Sa4:4   So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.삼상4:5   여호와의 언약궤가 진에 들어올 때에 온 이스라엘이 큰 소리로 외치매 땅이 울린지라1Sa4:5   And when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again.삼상4:6   블레셋 사람이 그 외치는 소리를 듣고 가로되 히브리 진에서 큰 소리로 외침은 어찜이뇨 하다가 여호와의 궤가 진에 들어온 줄을 깨달은지라1Sa4:6   And when the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, What noise of the shout, they said, What meaneth the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews? And they understood that the ark of the LORD was come into the camp.삼상4:7   블레셋 사람이 두려워하여 가로되 신이 진에 이르렀도다 하고 또 가로되 우리에게 화로다 전일에는 이런 일이 없었도다1Sa4:7   And the Philistines were afraid, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore.삼상4:8   우리에게 화로다 누가 우리를 이 능한 신들의 손에서 건지리요 그들은 광야에서 여러 가지 재앙으로 애굽인을 친 신들이니라1Sa4:8   Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these might Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.삼상4:9   너희 블레셋 사람들아 강하게 되며 대장부가 되어라 너희가 히브리 사람의 종이 되기를 그들이 너희의 종이 되었던 것 같이 말고 대장부가 같이 되어 싸우라 하고1Sa4:9   Be strong, and quit yourselves like men O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.삼상4:10   블레셋 사람이 쳤더니 이스라엘이 패하여 각기 장막으로 도망하였고 살육이 심히 커서 이스라엘 보병의 엎드러진 자가 삼만이었으며1Sa4:10   And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen.삼상4:11   하나님의 궤는 빼앗겼고 엘리의 두 아들 홉니와 비느하스는 죽임을 당하였더라1Sa4:11   And the ark of God was taken; and dthe two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.삼상4:12   당일에 어떤 베냐민 사람이 진에서 달려 나와 그 옷을 찢고 그 머리에 티끌을 무릅쓰고 실로에 이르니라1Sa4:12   And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth upon his head.삼상4:13   그가 이를 때는 엘 리가 길 곁 자기 의자에 앉아 기다리며 그 마음이 여호와의 궤로 인하여 떨릴 즈음이라 그 사람이 성에 들어오며 고하매 온 성이 부르짖는지라1Sa4:13   And when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the wayside watching: for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city, and told it, all the city cried out.삼상4:14   엘리가 그 부르짖는 소리를 듣고 가로되 이 훤화하는 소리는 어찜이뇨 그 사람이 빨리 와서 엘리에게 고하니1Sa4:14   And when Eli heard the noise of the crying, he said, What meaneth the noise of this tumult? And the man came in hastily, and told Eli.삼상4:15   때에 엘리의 나이 구십 팔이라 그 눈이 어두워서 보지 못하더라1Sa4:15   Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see.삼상4:16   그 사람이 엘리에게 고하되 나는 진중에서 나온 자라 내가 오늘 진중에서 도망하여 왔나이다 엘리가 가로되 내 아들아 일이 어찌 되었느냐1Sa4:16   And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son?삼상4:17   소식을 전하는 자가 대답하여 가로되 이스라엘이 블레셋 사람 앞에서 도망하였고 백성 중에는 큰 살육이 있었고 당신의 두 아들 홉니와 비느하스도 죽임을 당하였고 하나님의 궤는 빼앗겼느니라1Sa4:17   And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.삼상4:18   하나님의 궤를 말할 때에 엘리가 자기 의자에서 자빠져 문 곁에서 목이 부러져 죽었으니 나이 많고 비둔한 연고라 그가 이스라엘 사사가 된지 사십년이었더라1Sa4:18   And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.삼상4:19   그의 며느리 비느하스의 아내가 잉태하여 산기가 가까웠더니 하나님의 궤 빼앗긴 것과 그 시부와 남편의 죽은 소문을 듣고 갑자기 아파서 몸을 구푸려 해산하고1Sa4:19   And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard that tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.삼상4:20   죽어갈 때에 곁에 섰던 여인들이 그에게 이르되 두려워 말라 네가 아들을 낳았다 하되 그가 대답지도 아니하며 관념치도 아니하고1Sa4:20   And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it.삼상4:21   이르기를 영광이 이스라엘에서 떠났다 하고 아이 이름을 이가봇이라 하였으니 하나님의 궤가 빼앗겼고 그 시부와 남편이 죽었음을 인함이며1Sa4:21   And she named the child lchabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.삼상4:22   또 이르기를 하나님의 궤를 빼앗겼으므로 영광이 이스라엘에서 떠났다 하였더라1Sa4:22   And she said, The glory departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.  * 에벤에셀(האבן העזר, 하에벤 하에제르) ‘그 도움의 돌’이란 뜻. 하나님께서 이스라엘을 도와 이긴 기념으로 사무엘이 미스바와 센 사이에 세운 비석인데 후에 지명이 되었다.(삼상7:12) * 그룹(הכּרבים, 하케루빔) ‘그 그룹들’ 이란 뜻이다. 언약궤 위에 있는 두 그룹 형상으로서(출25:18). ‘그룹’은 하나님의 존엄과 거룩을 파수하는 호위 천사를 말한다.     오늘 말씀을 보게 되면 마음이 너무 싸늘해져요. 너무 아쉽고 또 주님앞에서 두려움도 생겨납니다.   When I read today's message, my heart feels very cold. I feel so regrtful, and I also begin to feel fear before the Lord.     이스라엘 백성이 하나님의 법궤를 빼앗기고 겪어내는 여러 일들이 너무 무섭고 두렵기 까지 합니다.   The events the people of Israel experienced after the Ark of God was taken from them are very frihtening and make me feel deeply afraid.      우리에게 생겨나는 주님께 받았던 수많은 진기한  보물들에 대한 그러한 가치에 대하여 알지 못하여 오는 하나님의 심판의 순간 앞에서 숨죽일 수밖에 없는 시간인 것 같습니다.   It feels like a time when we can only fall silent before God's judment, realizing that we have not fully understood the value of the many precious treasures we have received from the Lord.     저 또한 자녀들과 삶을 살아가면서 다가오는 모든 순간들 앞에 진정으로 깨어있어서 믿음과 신앙으로 대처할 수 있는 지혜를 가지기를 원합니다.   As I live my life with my children, I hope to stay spiritually awake in every moment that comes before us and have the wisdom to respond with faith and trust in God.     순간순간 우리에게는 자연스럽게 하나님의 뜻보다는 세상의 흐름속에 세상의 여러 가지 불신앙적인 일들을 과감하게 자르지 못하고 또한 바르게 서있지 못하여 믿음보다 세상의 가치관이 커지게 만들어 나와 나의 가족들과 이웃에게까지 바른 영향력을 나타내보이지 못하는 일들에 대하여 회개로 주님앞에 나아가기를 기도합니다.   Moment by moment, we are often swept along by the ways of the world rather than God's will. We fail to boldly turn away from things rooted in unbelief and do not always stand firm in faith. When the values of the world grow greater than our faith, we cannot show a right influence to our families and neighbors. For these things, I pray that I may come before the Lord in repentance.     나 한사람의 신앙의 본이 되지 못하여 오는 죄의 결과 앞에 하나님께 다시 나를 비추는 시간이 되기를 간구드립니다.   I pray that this may be a time to reflect myself before God, recognizing that I have failed to be a model of faith as an individual, and facing the consequences of my sins.     그래서 더욱이 하나님께서 우리와 함께 하실 수 있는 믿음의 사람이길 원하고 말씀을 사랑하는 사람이 되기를 기도합니다.   Therefore, I especially pray to become a person of faith with whom God can dwell, and a person who loves His Word.     또한 하나님의 사랑을 아는 자가 되었고 그 은혜 안에 사는 우리에게는 기쁨의 소식 또한 함께 주셨음에 감사를 드립니다.   I am also grateful that we, who have come to know God's love and live in His grace, have been given the good news of Joy.
