천성경 (증) - 293. 영성 계발과 영계 체휼

1 선생님이 나와서 영계 뿌리를 세밀히 밝힐 수 있었다는 사실이 인류 앞에 얼마나 큰 복이고 축복인지 모릅니다. 지금 그것을 다 믿지 못합니다. 안 믿는 사람들이 많으니까 믿는 사람들이 복 받는 것입니다. 그러면 줄기가 되고 줄기 앞에 제일 첫 번 가지가 될 수 있는 것입니다. 중심 줄기와 첫 번 가지가 된다면, 그 나무가 천년 가더라도 그 줄기와 가지를 따라서 발전하는 것입니다.

기도와 정성으로 영계 체험
2 마음의 문, 심문(心門)이 있습니다. 여러분이 기도해 보면 아는 것입니다. 시간에 따라 느낌이 다릅니다. 새벽 1시에 기도하는 것과 3시에 기도하는 것이 다릅니다. 그것은 여러분이 체험해 보면 압니다. 신비스러운 깊은 경지에 들어가서 기도해 보면 기도하는 시간에 따라 느낌이 다르다는 것입니다. 아침에 느끼는 것과 낮에 느끼는 것과 저녁에 느끼는 것과 밤에 느끼는 것이 모두 다릅니다. 우리의 마음 상태에서도 느끼는 기준이 우리가 육체적인 감정을 가지고 사시사철 계절의 변화에 따라 느끼는 감도가 달라지는 것과 마찬가지로, 마음의 세계도 그렇다는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 기도하는 데도 어떤 시간에 잘되는지를 알아야 됩니다. 기도가 잘되는 시간은 하나님과의 감응의 도가 가깝기 때문입니다. 그 잘되는 시간에 마음의 문을 만나게 됩니다. 하나님의 마음 문과 인간의 마음 문이 딱 맞아서 어느 기준까지만 맞추어 돌아가는 날에는 하나님이 느끼는 것을 체휼하는 길이 생깁니다. 여러분이 이 같은 자리에 들어가기 위해서는 마음을 닦아야 됩니다.

3 대개 영적으로 느끼는 사람은 영적으로는 크지만 진리 면에서는 크지 못합니다. 처음에는 굵지만 뾰쪽해지면 시종여일이 아니기 때문에 영원히 못 가는 것입니다. 어느 때에는 반드시 굴러떨어집니다. 또 진리는 크지만 영적인 면이 작다면 영원히 못 갑니다. 그렇기 때문에 이것을 조정하는 생활을 해야 됩니다. 기도와 진리, 신령과 진리로 예배하라는 말이 있습니다. 그것은 평형을 만들어 화하는 자리에 들어가라는 것입니다. 인간은 영계와 육계를 조정해야 됩니다. 영적 세계의 중앙에 서야 되고, 진리세계의 중앙에 서서 조정할 수 있는 인간이 되어야 합니다. 그런 인간이 되지 않고는 완전한 자리가 될 수 없습니다.

4 정성을 들이게 되면 하나님의 은혜가 오는 것입니다. 기도생활을 해본 사람은 알 것입니다. 기도생활을 하게 되면 크고 위대한 힘이 옵니다. 그래서 기도하는 사람의 눈은 그 힘에 의해서 육계뿐만 아니라 영계까지도 투시합니다. 하나님은 초자연적인 실체의 이념권을 인간에게 인연맺어 주시기 위하여 종교적인 기반을 중심삼고 섭리해 나오셨습니다. 인간의 본질적인 감정을 자극시켜서 그러한 권내로 가게끔 하는 욕구를 일으키는 것입니다. 그리하여 인간을 초현실적인 선에 연결시키고자 하시는 것입니다.

5 사도 바울이 영계의 3층천 세계를 보고 체험한 것은 그가 14년 동안 꾸준히 선교활동을 할 수 있는 원동력이 되었습니다. 그러한 체험이 있어야 됩니다. 선생님도 그와 마찬가지입니다. 선생님에게도 바라는 기준이 있습니다. 여러분에게 말하지 않았으나 ‘이렇게 할 것이다.’라는 곧은 뿌리가 있습니다. 선생님은 이러한 신념을 갖고 끝까지 밀고 나갈 것입니다. 이 신념이 꺾이지 않고 뭉그러지지 않는 한 어떠한 시련과 풍파가 부딪쳐 와도 밀고 나갈 것입니다.

6 우리는 하나님의 심정을 말합니다. 하나님의 심정이 어디에 있느냐 할 때, 기도 가운데서 음성을 들어 보면 ‘선생님의 말을 잘 들어라. 선생님을 슬프게 해서는 안 된다. 선생님을 기쁘게 해드려라.’라고 하는 것입니다. 그것밖에 없습니다. 그렇게 가르쳐 줍니다. 그리고 선생님이 보고 싶어서 잠을 안 자고 그러다 보니 영계가 열리더라는 것입니다. 영계가 열립니다. 선생님이 미국에서 뭘하는지 앉아서 봅니다. 그런 일이 벌어집니다. 이것은 막연하던 신앙의 주체적 대상을 현실적인 실체적 주체로서 횡적 무대에서 체휼할 수 있는 권을 형성했다는 것입니다. 이러한 사실은 종교세계에 위대한 혁명을 제시하는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 체휼이 없어서는 안 된다는 것입니다.

7 여러분이 지금까지 통일교회에 들어와서 일한다고 하는데, 어느 자리에서 일했는가를 생각해야 됩니다. 자기가 생활하는 자리에서 개인적인 생활과 화합해서 했느냐, 하늘을 중심삼고 세상과 화합하려 했느냐, 방향이 어디이고 위치가 어느 자리인가를 언제든지 생각해야 됩니다. 그렇기 때문에 기도하면서 하나님이 나와 같이하신다는 것을 알아야 됩니다. 그것은 벌써 눈만 감으면 압니다. 기도를 안 해도 안다는 것입니다. 어디 가서 말하려면 말이 술술 나옵니다. 양심 있는 사람에게 가면 내가 쭉 끌려 들어갑니다. 전부가 상대적입니다. 자기의 주체나 대상이 되면 끌어당기는 것입니다. 처음 만났다고 해서 상대가 안 되는 것이 아닙니다. 그 본질은 영원불변입니다. 그와 마찬가지로 그런 데에 가게 되면 마음이 좋고 말하고 싶은 것입니다. 그 경지에 들어가면 말을 안 하려 해도 입이 열린다는 것입니다.

8 오늘 길을 가다가 어떤 사람을 만날 것인가를 생각해야 됩니다. 첫 번째 만나는 사람은 어떤 사람일까, 두 번째 만나는 사람은 어떤 사람일까, 세 번째 만나는 사람은 어떤 사람일까를 생각하며 ‘아버지, 어떤 사람입니까? 나는 이런 사람을 만나기를 바라는데 어떤 사람입니까?’라고 기도해야 됩니다. 내가 생각하고 기도한 그 기준과 딱 맞아떨어진다면 기분이 좋습니다. 이러한 체험을 함으로써 여러분의 영적 촉감이 발달됩니다. 길을 나서면 벌써 오늘은 어떤 사람을 만날 것이라는 느낌이 드는 것입니다. 사람의 영은 무한정으로 통합니다. ‘오늘은 어떤 사람을 만날 것이다.’라고 생각했는데, 실제 그런 사람을 대하게 되면 ‘아이쿠!’ 하고 깜짝 놀라게 됩니다. 이렇게 자기의 생각과 영계에서 가르쳐 준 영감이 실제의 사실로 들어맞을 때가 많습니다. 이런 체험을 쌓아 올라가야 됩니다.

9 물고기 세계에서는 물이 공기와 마찬가지이고, 인간세계에는 공기가 우리의 생명을 이어 주는 모체가 되는 것과 마찬가지로 영계의 생명요소는 사랑입니다. 사랑이 공기와 마찬가지입니다. 지금까지 호흡했던 이 오관을 통해서 그것을 체질에 화하게 해서 세포 자체가 사랑을 호흡하면서 하늘과 더불어 약동하고 하나님과 더불어 호흡할 수 있는 상응적인 관계를 체휼하는 것입니다. 체휼적 신앙, 체험적 신앙이 되어야 합니다. 체휼적 사랑을 중심삼고 남편이 아내를 대할 때는 매일 체휼하면서 사랑하고 존경하고 사는 것과 마찬가지로 사랑을 중심삼고 체휼적 심정을 통해 천정과 인정이 합덕해야 됩니다.

10 마음이 반사작용을 함에 따라 몸도 같이 반사작용을 해야 소모가 벌어지지 않습니다. 전파가 들어왔는데 그 들어오는 전파를 몸이 가로막으면 반사가 되지 않습니다. 그러나 우리가 이 전파가 들어온 그대로 통할 수 있게 되면 우리 몸은 진동하는 것과 마찬가지의 작용을 하기 때문에 영적인 체험은 자동적으로 오는 것입니다. 영적 체험을 갑자기 하게 되면 부작용이 벌어집니다. 자연적으로 체험해야 됩니다. 봄이 되면 자연적으로 나무에서 꽃이 피는데, 나무가 꽃을 피우려면 꽃을 피울 만큼 자라야 됩니다. 이제 겨우 싹이 트는데 거기에서 꽃을 피울 수 있겠습니까? 꽃이 피기를 바라면서 빨리 커야 한다고 나무를 잡아당기면 되겠습니까? 뽑히면 그것으로 끝입니다. 꽃은 자연적으로 피어나야 합니다. 그러므로 신앙길은 조급하게 가지 말라는 것입니다. 천년사를 창조해 내는 길이기에 조급하게 가서는 안 됩니다.

11 심문(心門)에 맞추어 심전(心田)을 계발해야 됩니다. 이 마음의 밭을 계발하고 방향 기준을 개척하기 위해서는 반드시 주체 되시는 하나님을 발견해야 됩니다. 그런데 주체 되시는 하나님은 모호하게 느껴집니다. 하나님과 연결하려면 정신을 집중시켜 내 마음에서부터 출발하는 길 외에는 없습니다. 마음에서부터 마음을 맑혀 놓으면 반드시 방향을 알게 됩니다. 자연히 따라가는 것입니다. 동쪽을 향해서 기도를 했는데, 신비의 경지에 들어가면 벌써 방향이 달라집니다. 이런 것을 볼 때, 마음 문이 있다는 것입니다.

12 체휼하기 위해서는 먼저 기도를 해야 됩니다. 정신을 집중해야 됩니다. 될 수 있으면 무아경지인 영점의 자리에 내려가든가 해야 됩니다. 그러기 위한 제일 빠른 길이 어디냐? 이 영점 자리에 가기 위해서는 여기에 내려오는 것이 제일 빠릅니다. 그렇기 때문에 참선하는 사람이 ‘도대체 마음이 무엇이냐?’라는 문제를 놓고 고민하는 것입니다. 그것은 간단합니다. 하나님이 영원한 이상적인 선의 주체이면 그 주체적 존재 앞에 상대적 바탕으로서 언제나 변함없이 상대기준을 이룰 수 있는 것이 마음의 중심입니다. 이것을 통일교회에서는 생심의 기원이라고 합니다. 여러분이 신비스러운 기도 가운데로 들어가서 상대기준만 딱 맞으면 초연한 힘이 나타납니다. 석가모니도 그 경지에 들어가서 ‘천상천하유아독존’이라는 말을 한 것입니다.

天聖経 (增) - 293. 霊性の啓発と霊界の体恤

1　先生が出てきて、霊界の根を詳細にはっきりさせることができたという事実が、人類にとってどれほど大きな福であり、祝福であるか分かりません。今、そ れを信じることができていません。霊界を信じない人々が多いので、信じる人々が福を受けるのです。そうすれば、幹となり、幹の最初の枝になることができる のです。中心の幹と最初の枝になっていれば、その木が千年たとうと、その幹と枝によって発展するのです。

祈りと精誠で霊界体験
2　心の門、すなわち心門があります。皆さんが祈ってみれば分かるのです。時間によって感じが違います。真夜中の一時に祈るのと、三時に祈るのは違いま す。それは皆さんが体験してみれば分かります。
 神秘的な深い境地に入って祈ってみれば、祈る時間によって感じが違うというのです。朝に感じるものと、昼に感じるものと、夕方に感じるものと、夜に感じる ものが、すべて違います。私たちの心の状態によっても、感じる基準が違うのです。私たちが肉体的な感情をもって常に季節の変化によって感じる感度が変わる のと同じように、心の世界もそうだというのです。
ですから、どの時間によく祈れるかを知らなければなりません。祈りのよくできる時間は、神様と通じる距離が近いからです。そのよくできる時間、心の門と出 会います。神様の心の門と人間の心の門がぴったり合い、ある基準にまで合わせていけば、神様が感じることを体恤する道が生まれます。皆さんがこのような境 地に入っていくためには、心を磨かなければなりません。

3　霊的に通じる人の多くは、霊的には強いのですが、真理の面では強くありません。初めは太いのに最後が細くなれば、これは始終如一（しじゅうにょいち） (始めから終わりまで同じ調子であること)ではないので、永遠に続かないのです。いつか必ず転がり落ちます。また、真理は強くても、霊的な面が弱ければ、 永遠に続きません。ですから、私たちは、これを調整する生活をしなければならないのです。
 祈りと真理、神霊と真理で礼拝せよという言葉があります。それは、平衡をつくって和合する場に入りなさいということです。人間は、霊界と肉界を調整しなけ ればなりません。霊的世界の中央に立たなければならず、真理の世界の中央に立って、調整できる人間にならなければなりません。そのような人間にならなけれ ば、完全な立場になることはできません。

4　精誠を捧げれば神様の恩恵が訪れます。祈りの生活をしてみた人は分かるはずです。祈りの生活をするようになれば、大きくて偉大な力が訪れるのです。で すから、祈る人の目は、その力によって肉界だけでなく霊界までも透視します。神様は、超自然的な実体の理念圏を人間に関係づけてくださるために、宗教的な 基盤を中心として摂理してこられました。人間の本質的な感情を刺激させて、そのような圏内に行けるようにする欲求を起こすのです。そうして人間を超現実的 な善に連結させようとされるのです。

5　使徒パウロが霊界の三層の天の世界を見て体験したことは、彼が十四年間、たゆまず宣教活動をすることができる原動力となりました。そのような体験がな ければなりません。先生も、それと同じです。先生にも願う基準があります。皆さんには話しませんでしたが、「このようにする」というまっすぐな根がありま す。先生はこのような信念をもって最後まで推し進めるでしょう。この信念が曲がらず、崩れない限り、いかなる試練と波風がぶつかってきても推し進めるで しょう。

6　私たちは、神様の心情を語ります。神様の心情がどこにあるかというとき、祈りの中で声を聞いてみれば、「先生の言うことをよく聞きなさい。先生を悲し ませてはいけない。先生を喜ばせてさしあげなさい」と言うのです。それしかありません。そのように教えてくれます。そして、先生に会いたくて眠らずにいる と、霊界が開かれるというのです。霊界が開かれます。先生がアメリカで何をしているのか、座ったまま見るのです。そのようなことが起こります。これは漠然 としていた信仰の主体的対象を、現実的な実体的主体として横的舞台で体恤できる領域を形成したということです。このような事実は、宗教世界に偉大な革命を 提示するのです。ですから、体恤がなければならないというのです。

7　皆さんは、今まで統一教会に入ってきて働いたといいますが、どの位置で働いたのかを考えなければなりません。自分が生活する立場で、個人的な生活と和 合して働いたのか、天を中心として世の中と和合しようとしたのか、方向がどこで、位置がどの位置なのかを常に考えなければなりません。ですから、祈りなが ら、神様が「私」と共にいらっしゃるということを知らなければなりません。
それは、目を閉じさえすればすぐに分かります。祈らなくても分かるのです。どこかに行って話そうとすれば、言葉がすらすらと出てきます。良心のある人のと ころに行けば、「私」が引き込まれていきます。すべてが相対的です。自分の主体や対象になれば引きつけるのです。初めて出会ったからといって、相対になら ないのではありません。その本質は永遠不滅です。それと同じように、そのようなところに行けば、心がうれしくて話したいのです。その境地に入っていけば、 話そうとしなくても口が開くのです。

8　きょう、道を歩いていて、どんな人に会うかを考えなければなりません。最初に会う人はどんな人か、二番目に会う人はどんな人か、三番目に会う人はどん な人かを考えて、「お父様、どんな人ですか、私はこのような人に会うことを願いますが、どんな人でしょうか」と祈らなければなりません。自分が考えて、 祈ったその基準と合えば気分が良いのです。このような体験をすることによって、皆さんの霊的触覚が発達します。道に出ると「きょうはこのような人に会うだ ろう」と感じるのです。
 人の霊は、無限に通じます。「きょうはこのような人に会うだろう」と思い、実際そのような人に会えば、「ああっ！」と言って驚くようになります。このよう に、自分の思いと霊界から教えてくれた霊感が、実際の事実と一致するときが多いのです。このような体験を積んで上がっていかなければなりません。

9　魚の世界では、水が空気と同じであり、人間の世界では、空気が私たちの生命をつないでくれる母体となるのと同じように、霊界の生命要素は愛です。愛が 空気と同じなのです。今まで呼吸していたこの五官を通じて、細胞自体が愛を呼吸しながら天と共に躍動し、神様と共に呼吸できる相応関係を体恤するのです。 体恤的信仰、体験的信仰にならなければなりません。体恤する愛を中心として夫が妻に対するときは、毎日体恤しながら愛し、尊敬して暮らすのと同じように、 愛を中心として、体恤的心情を通じて天情と人情が合徳(和合)しなければなりません。

10　心が反射作用をすることによって、体も共に反射作用をしてこそ、消耗が起こりません。電波が入ってきても、その入ってきた電波を体が妨げれば反射し ません。しかし、私たちが、この電波が入ってきたとおりに通じるようになれば、私たちの体は震動するのと同じ作用をするので、霊的な体験は自動的にやって 来るのです。突然霊的体験をするようになれば、副作用が起こります。自然に体験しなければなりません。
 春になれば、自然と木に花が咲きますが、木が花を咲かせようとすれば、花を咲かせるぐらいに成長しなければなりません。今ようやく芽が出たというのです が、そこで花を咲かせることができますか。花が咲くことを願うあまり、早く大きくならなければならないと考えて、木を引っ張ってよいのですか。抜けてしま えばそれで終わりです。花は自然に咲き始めなければなりません。ですから、信仰の道は、焦ってはいけないというのです。千年史を創造していく道なので、 焦ってはいけません。

11　心門に合わせて、心田を啓発しなければなりません。この心の畑を啓発して、方向基準を開拓するためには、必ず主体であられる神様を発見しなければな らないのです。この主体であられる神様は、ぼんやりと感じられるものです。神様につながるには、精神を集中させて自分の心から出発する道以外にはありませ ん。心を清めておけば、必ず方向が分かるようになります。自然についていくのです。東に向かって祈ったとしても、神秘の境地に入れば、すぐに方向が変わり ます。そのようなことを体験してみるとき、心の門があるというのです。

12　体恤するためには、まず祈らなければなりません。精神を集中しなければなりません。できるだけ零点の位置に下りていかなければならないのです。この 零点の位置に行くためには、神様のみ前に対象の位置に下りていくのが最も早いのです。ですから、参禅する人は、「いったい心とは何か」という問題で苦悶す るのです。
 心とは何かという問題は簡単です。心とは何ですか。神様が永遠の理想的な善の主体でいらっしゃるならば、その主体的存在の前に相対的基台として、いつも変 わりなく相対基準を形成できるものが心です。これを統一教会では、生心の起源と見ているのです。皆さんが神秘的な祈りの中に入っていってこの相対基準さえ 合えば、超然とした力が現れます。釈迦もその境地に入っていって「天上天下唯我独尊」という言葉を語ったのです。

Cheon Seong Gyeong Ⅱ - 293. Developing Our Spirituality  

1 You do not know what great grace and blessing it is that I have revealed in detail the root of the spirit world. At present, not everyone believes in the spirit world. Since there are many disbelievers, those who do believe will receive blessings. They can become the trunk and the first branches that grow out from the trunk. Once the central trunk and first branches of a tree develop, even if that tree lasts for a thousand years, it will grow and develop on the basis of that trunk and those branches. Experiencing the spirit world through prayer and offering devotions
2 There is something called the gate of the mind. You will know this when you pray. You get a different feeling depending on the time of your prayer. Praying at one o’clock in the morning is very different from praying at three o’clock. You will see for yourself when you experience this. When you go into a deep, mystical state and pray, you will see that you feel differently depending on the time of your prayer. What you feel in the morning, at noon, in the evening, and at night are all different. The feeling within our mind differs in the same way that our physical senses respond differently to the changes of the four seasons. Therefore, in offering prayers, you should know at which time you can pray well. The time when you can pray well is the time when your degree of correspondence with God is the highest. At that time you will discover the gate of the mind. Once the gate of your mind is in perfect accord with that of God, they revolve around each other and reach a certain level. At that time the path opens up so that you can experience what God feels. To reach such a position, you need to cultivate your mind. (76-127, 1975.02.02)
 
3 In general, people who are spiritually adept may not have clear perception with regard to the truth. They start out strong on one side, but they are weak on the other side. Since they are not consistent throughout, they cannot make their way forward. At one time or another, they will roll over and fall down. Conversely, if the side of truth is big but the spiritual side is small, that person cannot keep going. Therefore you need to make an effort to balance these two aspects in your daily life. The Bible says to worship “in spirit and truth”; that is, with prayer and with truth. This means you need to reach a level where you can balance the two aspects and harmonize them. Human beings are meant to mediate between the spirit world and the physical world. You therefore need to become people who can mediate by standing at the center of the spirit world and at the center of the world of truth. Unless you become such people, you cannot attain the position of perfection. (76-137, 1975.02.02)
 
4 When you offer devotions, God’s grace will come to you. Those who have practiced a life of prayer will know this. When you pray, a great and mighty power will come to you. Thus, through that power, the eyes of a person who prays can see in both the physical world and the spirit world. God has carried out His providence through the religious foundation to make a connection between the supernatural realm of substantial ideology and humankind. By stimulating people’s core emotions, He causes them to desire to go to such a realm. By so doing, God is trying to connect us to the transcendental plane. (18-067, 1967.05.21)
 
5 What Saint Paul saw and experienced in the third heaven of the spirit world became the driving force that enabled him to carry out his mission tirelessly for fourteen years. You need to have such an experience. This also holds true for me. I too have a standard that I aspire to. Though I have not told you about it, I have a non-negotiable standard that dictates, “I will do such and such.” With such a conviction, I plow my way through to the end. With this unyielding conviction, I will plow my way forward no matter what hardships and troubles I face. (27-128, 1969.11.30)
 
6 We speak of God’s heart. If you wonder where His heart is and you listen while praying, you will hear His voice say, “Listen closely to what Reverend Moon is telling you. Do not make him sad. Make him happy instead.” That is what you will hear, and this is what He will teach you to do. And if you stay awake because you miss me so much, you will find that the spirit world opens before you. The spirit world will open, so that you can sit where you are and see what I am doing in America. Such things will take place. This means you have reached a realm in which you can experience a higher level of faith, where what was previously obscure becomes real and substantial on the physical plane. This fact will usher in a great revolution in the religious world. That is why you need to have such experiences. (76-152, 1975.02.02)
 
7 You have continued to work from the time you joined the Unification Church until now, but you should think about the position in which you are working. You should think about your direction and your location at all times, and consider whether you are leading a self-centered life or working to harmonize the world centered on Heaven. Thus through your prayer you will come to know that God is with you. You will know this as soon as you close your eyes. You will know it even if you do not pray. When you go somewhere and speak, you will find yourself talking eloquently. If you meet a conscientious person, you will be drawn to that person right away. Everything is reciprocal. If someone becomes your subject partner or your object partner, one of you will attract the other. Even if you are meeting someone for the first time, that person could become your object partner. The essence of this principle is eternal and unchanging. Likewise, if you go to a place with receptive people, you will feel pleased and will be compelled to speak. Even if you had not intended to speak, your mouth will open up. (230-030, 1992.04.15)
 
8 You need to think about who you are going to meet today along the way. Wondering what kind of person the first person you meet will be like, what the second and third people you meet will be like, you should pray, “Father, what kind of person will it be? I wish to meet a person who is like this, but what kind of person will it really be?” When the person you meet is exactly the person you imagined in your prayer, then you will feel pleased. Through such experiences, your spiritual senses will develop. As soon as you go out on the street, you will feel you are going to meet such and such a person today. The human spirit goes beyond all limits. If you think, “I will meet such and such a person today,” and you actually meet such a person, you will be surprised and will exclaim, “Wow!” In this way, there are many instances in which your thoughts and intuitions from the spirit world actually come true in perfect accord with one another. 9 The life element of the spirit world is love. It can be likened to the water that sustains the life of fish and the air that sustains our life in the human world. Love is like the air. When your physical body and all five senses are in harmony, you experience a corresponding relationship with the spirit world, through which your cells breathe love, move in rhythm with Heaven and breathe together with God. You need to have faith based on experience and actual feeling. As a husband loves and respects his wife every day through real life experience, so divine love and human love should be harmonized through real life experience. (211-065, 1990.12.28)
 
10 When the mind moves and the body reflects that motion, there is no consumption of energy. If our body were to block the waves of energy from the spirit world, it would not respond. However, if those waves could pass freely through, our bodies would respond with a kind of vibration and spiritual experiences would come to us automatically. If you have a spiritual experience too suddenly, you will suffer side effects. Therefore you need to experience these things naturally. In the spring flowers naturally bloom on trees, but in order for a tree to blossom, it needs to grow big enough. If a tree has only just sprouted, could it blossom? Would it work if you pulled on it to make it grow more quickly, wishing it to have flowers? If the tree were uprooted, that would be the end. Flowers must bloom naturally. Therefore I am telling you that you should not rush on the path of faith. Since it is the path through which the history of a thousand years is created, you cannot tread upon it hastily. 11 You need to cultivate the field of your mind in line with the gate of your mind. In order to cultivate this field of the mind and pioneer its direction, you must discover God, the subject. However, you may feel that God, the subject, is obscure. If you want to connect to God, you must focus your mind and set out from your mind, for there is no other way. If you illuminate your mind from within, you can come to know its direction clearly. Then you will follow it naturally. You may have been praying facing east, but once you enter a mystical state, the direction will have already changed. Based on this, there really is a gate of the mind. (76-144, 1975.02.02)
 
12 In order to have spiritual experiences, first you need to pray. You need to focus your mind. If you can, you should descend to the zero point. What is the quickest way to achieve this? To go to the zero point, the quickest way is to humble yourself. That is why people who practice Zen meditation focus on the question, “What is the mind?” The answer is very simple. As God is the eternal, ideal subject of goodness, the mind can at any time achieve the position of an unchanging object partner in front of that subject being. This is referred to in the Unification Church as the spirit mind. If you go into a mystical state in prayer and engage in a reciprocal relationship with God, then transcendental power appears in you. It is when he reached nirvana that the Gautama Buddha remarked, “In heaven and earth, only I am the honored one.” (76-143, 1975.02.02)
