6 ○그리스도의 은혜로 너희를 부르신 이를 이같이 속히 떠나 다른 복음을 따르는 것을 내가 이상하게 여기노라
7 다른 복음은 없나니 다만 어떤 사람들이 너희를 교란하여 그리스도의 복음을 변하게 하려 함이라
8 그러나 우리나 혹은 하늘로부터 온 천사라도 우리가 너희에게 전한 복음 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 저주를 받을지어다
9 우리가 전에 말하였거니와 내가 지금 다시 말하노니 만일 누구든지 너희가 받은 것 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 저주를 받을지어다
10 이제 내가 사람들에게 좋게 하랴 하나님께 좋게 하랴 사람들에게 기쁨을 구하랴 내가 지금까지 사람들의 기쁨을 구하였다면 그리스도의 종이 아니니라
 
No Other Gospel

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—
7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under Godʼs curse!
9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under Godʼs curse!
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

우상을 만들어 섬기지 말라

15 ○여호와께서 호렙 산 불길 중에서 너희에게 말씀하시던 날에 너희가 어떤 형상도 보지 못하였은즉 너희는 깊이 삼가라
16 그리하여 스스로 부패하여 자기를 위해 어떤 형상대로든지 우상을 새겨 만들지 말라 남자의 형상이든지, 여자의 형상이든지,
17 땅 위에 있는 어떤 짐승의 형상이든지, 하늘을 나는 날개 가진 어떤 새의 형상이든지,
18 땅 위에 기는 어떤 곤충의 형상이든지, 땅 아래 물 속에 있는 어떤 어족의 형상이든지 만들지 말라
19 또 그리하여 네가 하늘을 향하여 눈을 들어 해와 달과 별들, 하늘 위의 모든 천체 곧 너희의 하나님 여호와께서 천하 만민을 위하여 배정하신 것을 보고 미혹하여 그것에 경배하며 섬기지 말라Idolatry Forbidden

15 You saw no form of any kind the day the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully,
16 so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman,
17 or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air,
18 or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below.
19 And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.
