이스라엘 신의 궤를 보내어 본처로 돌아가게 하고                                                                    (삼상5:1~12)  삼상5:1   블레셋 사람이 하나님이 궤를 빼앗아 가지고 에벤에셀에서부터 아스돗에 이르니라1Sa5:1   And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod.삼상5:2   블레셋 사람이 하나님의 궤를 가지고 다곤의 당에 들어가서 다곤의 곁에 두었더니1Sa5:2   When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.삼상5:3   아스돗 사람이 이튿날 일찍이 일어나 본즉 다곤이 여호와의 궤 앞에서 엎드러져 그 얼굴이 땅에 닿았는지라 그들이 다곤을 일으켜 다시 그 자리에 세웠더니1Sa5:3   And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was tallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.삼상5:4   그 이튿날 아침에 그들이 일찍이 일어나 본즉 다곤이 여호와의 궤 앞에서 엎드러져 얼굴이 땅에 닿았고 그 머리와 두 손목은 끊어져 문지방에 있고 다곤의 몸둥이만 남았더라1Sa5:4   And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.삼상5:5   그러므로 다곤의 제사장들이나 다곤의 당에 들어가는 자는 오늘까지 아스돗에 있는 다곤의 문지방을 밟지 아니하더라1Sa5:5   Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.삼상5:6   여호와의 손이 아스돗 사람에게 엄중히 더하사 독종의 재앙으로 아스돗과 그 지경을 쳐서 망하게 하니1Sa5:6   But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.삼상5:7   아스돗 사람들이 이를 보고 가로되 이스라엘 신의 궤를 우리와 함께 있게 못할찌라 그 손이 우리와 우리 신 다곤을 친다 하고1Sa5:7 And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.삼상5:8   이에 보내어 블레셋 사람의 모든 방백을 모으고 가로되 우리가 이스라엘 신의 궤를 어찌 할꼬 그들이 대답하되 이스라엘 신의 궤를 가드로 옮겨가라 하므로 이스라엘 신의 궤를 옮겨 갔더니1Sa5:8   They sent therefoer and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.삼상 5:9   그것을 옮겨간 후에 여호와의 손이 심히 큰 환난을 그 성에 더 하사 성읍 사람의 작은 자와 큰 자를 다 쳐서 독종이 나게 하신지라1Sa5:9   And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts.삼상5:10   이에 그들이 하나님의 궤를 에그론으로 보내니라 하나님의 궤가 에그론에 이른즉 에그론 사람이 부르짖어 가로되 그들이 이스라엘 신의 궤를 우리에게로 가져다가 우리와 우리 백성을 죽이려 한다 하고1Sa5:10   Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of Israel to us, to slay us and our people.삼상5:11   이에 보내어 블레셋 모든 방백을 모으고 가로되 이스라엘 신의 궤를 보내어 본처로 돌아가게 하고 우리와 우리 백성 죽임을 면케 하자 하니 이는 온 성이 사망의 환난을 당함이라 거기서 하나님의 손이 엄중하시므로1Sa5:11   So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.삼상5:12   죽지 아니한 사람들은 독종으로 치심을 받아 성읍의 부르짖음이 하늘에 사무쳤더라1Sa5:12   And the men that died not were smitten with the emerods: and the cry of the city went up to heaven.     우상을 만들어 섬기거나 삶에 오는 여러 홀로 극복하기 정말 어려워서 사람들은 자신의 소원을 이루기 위한 목적으로 신을 만들어 섬기는 것들이 우리 주변엔 너무도 많은 것을 볼수있을 것입니다.   It is very difficult to overcome the many hardships and challenges that come in life, so people often create and worship idols or gods in order to fulfill their wishes. We can see many such examples all around us.    그들이 우상을 만들거나 찾아서 섬기는 이유 중 모두 공통적이게 자신의 욕망과 자신의 힘으로 얻을 수 없는 일들을 해결해 보고자 찾는 일들 때문에 그들에게는 자신이 목적하는 것들을 위하여 여러 신들을 섬기는 것들을 볼 수 있습니다.   One common reason why people create or seek out and worship idols is their desire to fulfill their own wants and so solve problems that they cannot achieve through their own power. Because of this, we can see that they serve various gods in order to accomplish their personal goals.    그렇듯 그들의 목적을 이루기 위하여 지금 까지는 볼 수 없었던 신 들 중에 소문으로 들은바 어마어마한 기적을 이루시고 자신들이 찾고 있던 신과는 비교도 될 수 없는 신에 대한 관심과 그것을 차지하고푼 인간의 욕망으로 그것을 차기하기는 하였지만은 결국은 거룩하신 하나님께서는 하나님께서는 스스로 원하시는 땅을 향하여 가심을 볼 수 있습니다.   In the same way, in order to fulfill their ambitions, people became interested in a God thy had never seen before-one they had only heard about through rumors, a God said to perform extraordinary miracles and incomparable to the gods they had been seeking. Driven by their desire to possess such a God, they attempted to take hold of HIm. However, in the end, the holy God moves according to His own will, going to the place He Himself desires.    사람이 원하여서가 아니라 우리가 알고 있고 믿고 있으신 분은 권능이 많으신 우리 생명의 주관자 이신 하나님이십니다.   It is not by human will, but the One we know and believe in is God, who is full of power and the sovereign Lord over our lives.    큰 기적을 일으키심도 하나님의 뜻을 이 땅에 이루시기도 사랑이 많으신 하나님이시기에 그가 원하시는 자들의 생명과 안위를 지켜주심도 주님의 뜻 안에서 하나님의 작정하신 일들을 이루시는 하나님이심을 알게됩니다.   He performs great miracles and accomplishes His will in this earth. Because He is a God of great love, He protects the lives and well-being of those He desires. Through this, we come to understand that God fulfills the things He has ordained according to His own will.    우리는 주님의 자녀로 이 땅에 살며 참으로 감사하며 우리를 위하여 큰 능력으로 모든 만물을 주관하시는 그분으로 감사하며 그분의 은혜와 사랑 베푸심에 더욱 큰 영광을 올릴 수 있는 삶 되기를 간구드립니다.   As the Lord's children, we live on this earth with sincere gratitude, giving thanks to the one who, in His great power, rules over all things for our sake. I pray that our lives may bring greater glory to Him as we continue to receive and share His grace and love.
