천성경 (증) - 300. 신령역사와 영적 현상

1 영계와 지상세계는 단절된 별개의 세계가 아닙니다. 하나의 근본 존재원리 밑에서 상호 교류하고, 수수하는 상관관계 속에 있습니다. 우리 협회도 본래 신령을 통하여 통일하는 신령협회로 출발했습니다. 신령이 무엇입니까? 일시적 배분적인 영력이나 영적 작용을 말하는 것이 아닙니다. 참사랑을 중심하고 영계와 인간세계가 조화, 공명을 일으킬 수 있는 하나님의 사랑의 힘입니다. 위하고 투입하는 참사랑의 생활을 통하여 사람의 마음에 감동을 주는 것은 물론 영적 세계의 협력도 얻는 운동이 통일교회 운동입니다.

영적 현상과 그에 대한 자세
2 초대교회 때는 방언을 하였고, 신령역사를 하였고, 예언을 하였고, 별의별 일을 다 했습니다. 이와 같이 초대교회에서 신령한 역사가 많이 벌어짐으로써 그 내용을 알지 못하는 무지한 인간이 영적인 현상에 이리 부딪치고 저리 부딪쳐 혼란하게 되니, 그것을 막기 위해 ‘성경 말씀이 제일이다.’라고 하게 된 것입니다. 성경에도 ‘끝날에는 내 영을 많이 부어 주리라.’라는 말씀이 나옵니다. 그래서 초대교회에서 일어난 현상이 종말의 기독교 역사세계에 나타나 사방에서 미쳤다, 이단이다 하는 말을 듣는 무리가 많이 나온다는 것입니다. 통일교회도 그중의 대표적인 한 멤버로 들어 있습니다.

3 영의 부음을 받은 자가 이유를 모르면 하늘이 가르쳐 주십니다. 그가 눈을 뜨면 영계를 보고, 그가 행동을 하면 영계 사람의 행동을 합니다. 여러분의 눈과 여러분의 마음과 여러분의 행동과는 판이합니다. 미친 사람처럼 보입니다. 옛날 예수님도 똑똑한 사람으로 보였습니까? 그 당시 사람들이 볼 때는 바보 멍청이였습니다. 앞으로 이와 같은 영적인 현상이 휩쓸 것이며, 민족을 휩쓸 것이며, 교단을 휩쓸 것입니다. 그러므로 오늘날 세계적으로 알 수 없는 정신계통의 환자와 신경계통의 환자가 기하급수적으로 늘어 가고 있습니다. 공포의 세계, 불안하고 초조한 세계가 다가오고 있습니다. 이것은 하나님의 아들인 예수님이 초조감과 불안감과 흥분된 심정을 갖고 일생을 거치고 뜻을 대하였기 때문입니다. 그래서 세계적인 운세가 그렇게 휩쓸린다는 것입니다. 그리하여 나중에는 방향을 찾으려야 찾을 수 없게 되고, 참것이 거짓 것 같고 거짓 것이 참것 같은 현상이 벌어집니다. 거짓이 우세하고 참이 열세가 되는 시대, 거짓이 번성하며 참이 말할 수 없이 미약한 상태가 되는 시대가 온다는 것입니다. 우리는 그러한 시대를 거쳐 넘어가야 합니다.

4 끝날에 가면 갈수록 공포심에 사로잡히는 사람이 있는가 하면 그 반면에 기쁨에 사로잡히는 사람도 있습니다. 이러한 움직임이 나타나는 것은 필연적인 현상입니다. 지극히 악한 사람만 있는가 하면 지극히 선한 사람도 있는 것입니다. 지극히 선한 사람에게는 지극히 악한 것이 침범할 수 없고, 지극히 악한 사람에게는 지극히 선한 것이 관여할 수 없습니다. 이 사회는 하나님도 붙들 수 없습니다. 어떠한 신령한 사람도, 어떠한 하늘의 은사가 있는 사람도 이것을 합하려야 합할 수 없는 때가 옵니다. 그때가 오면 지극히 악한 세계에 살고 있는 사람, 하늘과 인연을 맺지 못한 자리에 있는 사람들은 영락없이 심판대에 올라갑니다. 그와 같은 실상이 여러분 마음에서 벌어질 때가 올 것입니다. 마음은 이렇게 가기를 원하나 몸은 저렇게 가기를 원합니다. 그 몸과 마음을 연결지을 수 있는 조건을 갖지 못하여 허덕이는 자는 영락없이 지옥행이라는 것입니다.

5 하나님은 특정한 종파를 중심삼고 섭리해 나오십니다. 요셉 가정과 사가랴 가정을 중심삼고 때가 되기 전에 그 누구도 모르는 가운데 내적으로 섭리하던 것과 마찬가지로, 대한민국의 해방 직후를 중심삼고 그 누구도 모르는 가운데 하늘은 이런 섭리의 내용을 준비해 나온 것입니다. 거기에는 천사장적 사명을 하는 집단이 있어야 됩니다. 영적으로 잃어버린 것을 실체적으로 찾아야 되겠으니, 그런 시대상이 되는 해방 전을 중심삼고 육적 천사장 사명을 하는 한 사람이 나와야 됩니다. 그래서 영계를 통하는 사람들 중에 자기가 베드로니 바울이니 혹은 ‘나는 세례 요한이다.’ 하는 사람이 나옵니다. 12사도가 예수님을 믿지 못한 지상 터전을 닦기 위해서 그들의 영이 실체적으로 임해서 이 땅 위에 기반을 닦는 역사가 벌어져야 되는 것입니다. 그런 역사를 해 나왔다는 것입니다.

6 예수님의 한이 무엇입니까? 땅 위에서 제자들과 더불어 실체권을 이루지 못한 것입니다. 예수님을 중심삼고 열두 제자가 하나 못 되고, 예수님을 중심삼고 요셉 가정이 하나 못 되고, 유태교가 하나 못 되고, 이스라엘 나라가 하나 못 된 것입니다. 이와 같은 인연이 파탄되었기 때문에 그것을 12사도를 중심삼고 수습하려 했으나 다 파탄되었습니다. 그래서 영적 기준 형으로는 남아 있지만 실체 기준은 못 가졌기 때문에, 영적 승리의 터전을 닦은 12사도의 형을 이 땅 위에 재림역사와 더불어 재현해서 그때를 준비해야 됩니다. 이 터전이 닦아진 후에, 즉 불신하여 예수님을 추방하였던 사도들이 활동해 다시 신임할 수 있는 터전을 닦은 기반 위에 재림역사가 시작되어야 합니다. 그렇기 때문에 대한민국 해방 전을 중심으로 하여 영계를 통하는 사람들 중에 자기가 베드로니 요한이니 바울이니 혹은 아브라함이니 하며 역사상에 왔다 갔던 수많은 선지자들을 대표하는 사람들이 한꺼번에 이 평면적인 한국 신령계를 중심삼고 현현하게 되었습니다.

7 지금까지는 악한 영인들이 지상에 와서 역사했기 때문에 노이로제 현상이라든가 자기 인격을 파괴하는 현상이 일어났지만, 지금부터는 그렇지 않습니다. 몸을 점령해서 공명권을 이루어 바로 높은 영적인 체험권으로 들어가게 되는 것입니다. 고상한 인격권이 생겨나는 것입니다.

8 영적 현상은 하나님에 의한 영적 현상과 그 반대 현상, 두 가지밖에 없습니다. 그것은 금방 알게 됩니다. 즉 선한 현상과 악한 현상으로 나뉘는데, ‘선한 현상은 이렇게 돼야만 한다.’라는 공식적인 맥이 있습니다. 이것을 계속 맞추어 가지 않으면 아무것도 안 됩니다. 그래서 몇 백년마다 대전환기라든가 영적인 대현상이 일어나는 것입니다. 그렇게 되면 그 나라가 망하든가 흥하든가 합니다. 나라가 망하게 될 때는 악령이 동원됩니다. 또 크게 번성할 때는 선한 영이 동원됩니다. 그것을 어떻게 하면 세계의 운세에 말려들게 하느냐? 그렇게 간단하지 않습니다. 그러면 영적 현상이라든가 종교의 목적은 도대체 뭐냐? 영적 현상을 일으켜 하늘이 섭리를 이끌어 가는 것도 결국은 인간 완성 때문입니다.

9 악신의 역사나 선신의 역사나 출발은 마찬가지입니다. 다만 결과가 다릅니다. 떨고 야단하고 뒤넘기치는 일이 벌어집니다. 똑같다는 것입니다. 악신도 신령역사를 하는데, 결국은 역사해서 어디로 들어가느냐? 세계의 이익으로, 하늘과 땅의 이익으로 돌아가지 않고 자기 이익으로 돌아간다는 것입니다. 그렇게 되면 반드시 꺾이는 것입니다. 자기를 중심삼고 개인적인 이익으로, 자기 가정을 위주로 한 이익으로 돌아가서는 안 됩니다. 그것도 꺾여 나간다는 것입니다. 어디까지나 하나님의 섭리는 출발은 같은 모양으로 하더라도 반드시 세계를 표준으로 해야 됩니다. 하나님의 해방과 인류의 해방을 목표로 하지 않는 교회는 끝날까지 못 갑니다. 자기 욕심만큼 가다가는 자연히 무너집니다. 그 지도자를 데려가는 것입니다. 데려가게 되면 그 시대의 환경을 가누어서 연결시킬 수 없습니다. 자기가 처해 있는 위치를 모르기 때문입니다.

10 오늘날 인간세계에 살고 있는 여러분은 인간세계를 중심삼고 영적 현상을 볼 수 있습니다. 어느 시대나 어떤 때나 종교인은 물론이고 그 외의 사람들도 영계의 인연을 따라서 영계와 혼합된 생활권에서 살고 있는 것은 역사적 실증입니다. 역사과정을 통해서 그렇게 생활해 나왔다는 사실은 우리가 종교를 믿지 않더라도 꿈을 통해서라든가 여러 가지 신비로운 체험을 통해서 알고 있습니다. 그래서 영계를 보면 선한 신과 악한 신이 있고, 지상에서는 그 영향을 받아서 선한 사람과 악한 사람으로 나뉘게 됩니다. 그것은 이론적인 결과입니다. 그렇기 때문에 좋고 나쁜 사람이라는 이 개념은 뭐냐? 좋은 신의 협조를 받는 사람과 나쁜 신의 협조를 받는 사람이 있는데, 그 두 종류의 내용을 놓고 좋은 사람 또는 나쁜 사람이라고 결론을 내리는 것입니다.

11 앞으로는 영적 현상까지 볼 수 있는 것을 발명하는 시대가 올 것으로 생각합니다. 그렇게 되면 영계가 없다는 말을 할 수가 없게 됩니다. 영안이 열리면 영계를 볼 수 있습니다. 모든 현상을, 그 세계 존재의 모든 것을 감각적으로 느끼는 것입니다. 날씨예보처럼 그런 것을 볼 수 있게 되면 하나님이 없다는 등의 말을 못하게 됩니다. 그렇게 되면 종교 따위는 없어져도 됩니다. 타락하지 않았다면 그런 세계가 되었을 것입니다. 타락세계가 되어서 이렇게 되고 말았습니다. 복귀과정에서 우리에게는 이 지상이 그 세계와 상대적으로 일치시켜 가는 훈련소가 되어 있습니다.

天聖経 (增) - 300. 神霊の役事と霊的現象

1　霊界と地上世界は、断絶された別の世界ではありません。一つの根本の存在原理のもとで相互交流し、授受する相関関係にあります。私たちの教会も、本来 神霊を通じて統一する神霊協会として出発しました。神霊とは何ですか。一時的、配分的な霊力や霊的作用のことを言うのではありません。真の愛を中心として 霊界と人間世界が調和し、共鳴することができる神様の愛の力です。ために生きて投入する真の愛の生活を通じて、人の心に感動を与えることはもちろん、霊的 世界の協力も得る運動が統一教会の運動です。

霊的現象とそれに対する姿勢
2　初代教会の時は、異言を語り、神霊の役事を行い、預言を語るなど、ありとあらゆることがありました。このように初代教会で神霊の役事が多く起きること により、その内容を知らない無知な人間が霊的な現象にあちこちでぶつかり、混乱するようになるので、それを防ぐために「聖書のみ言が一番である」と言うよ うになったのです。聖書にも「終りの時には、わたしの霊をすべての人に注こう」(使徒行伝二・一七)というみ言が出てきます。それで、初代教会で起きた現 象が終未のキリスト教の歴史世界に現れ、四方で気が狂った、異端だと言われる群れが多く出てくるというのです。統一教会も、その中の代表的な一メンバーと して入っています。

3　霊の召命を受けた人はむやみに行動できません。その人が、起きる霊的現象の理由を知らなければ、天が教えてくださいます。彼が目を開ければ霊界を見 て、彼が行動すれば霊界にいる人のような行動をします。皆さんの日と皆さんの心と皆さんの行動とは、非常に異なります。狂った人のように見えます。昔のイ エス様も賢い人に見えましたか。その当時の入たちが見るとき、気が狂った人のように見えました。これからこのような霊的な現象が襲い、民族を襲い、教団を 襲うでしょう。
したがって、今日、世界的に、未知の精神系統の患者と神経系統の患者が幾何級数的に増えていっています。恐怖の世界、不安でいらだつ世界が近づいていま す。これは神様の息子であるイエス様が、焦燥感と不安感と興奮した心情をもって一生を過ごし、み旨に対されたからです。それで、世界的な運勢がそのように 巻き込まれていくのです。
そして、最終的には方向を探そうとしても探すことができなくなり、真のものが偽りのようになり、偽りのものが真のようになる現象が起こります。偽りが優勢 になり、真が劣勢になる時代、偽りが盛んになり、真がこれ以上ないほど微弱な状態になる時代が来るというのです。私たちは、そのような時代を経て越えてい かなければなりません。

4　終わりの日になればなるほど、恐怖心にとらわれる人がいるかと思えば、その一方で喜びにとらわれる人もいます。このような動きが現れるのは必然的な現 象です。この上なく悪の人がいるかと思えば、この上なく善の人もいるのです。この上なく善の人には、この上なく悪の人が侵犯できず、この上なく悪の人に は、この上なく善の人が関与できません。
この社会は、神様もつかめません。いかに神霊的な人でも、いかに天の恩賜がある人でも、これに合わせようとしても合わせることができない時が来ます。その 時が来れば、この上なく悪の世界で生きている人、天と関係を結ぶことができなかった位置にいる人々は、間違いなく審判台に上がります。そのような実相が皆 さんの心から起こる時が来るでしょう。心はこっちに行くのを願うのですが、体は他のほうに行くのを願うのです。その心と体を連結できる条件をもてずに、も がき苦しむ人は、間違いなく地獄行きだというのです。

5　神様は、特定の宗派を中心として摂理してきます。ヨセフ家庭とザカリヤ家庭を中心として、時になる前に、誰も知らない中で内的に摂理したように、大韓 民国の解放直後を中心として、誰も知らない中で、天はこのような摂理の内容を準備してきたのです。そこには、天使長的使命を果たす集団がいなければなりま せん。霊的に失ってしまったものを実体的に取り戻さなければならないので、そのような時代相になる解放前を中心として、肉的天使長の使命を果たす一人の人 が出てこなければなりません。それで、霊界に通じる人々の中で、自分がペテロだ、パウロだ、あるいは「私は洗礼ヨハネだ」と言う人が出てきます。十二使徒 がイエス様を信じられなかったので、彼らの霊が実体的に臨んで、この地上で基盤を築く役事が起こらなければならないのです。そのような役事をしてきたとい うのです。

6　イエス様の恨は何でしょうか。地上で弟子たちと共に実体圏を形成することができなかったことです。イエス様を中心として十二弟予が一つになれず、イエ ス様を中心としてヨセフ家庭が一つになれず、ユダヤ教が一つになれず、イスラエルの国が一つになれなかったのです。このような関係が破綻したので、それ を、十二使徒を中心として収拾しようしたのですが、すべて破綻しました。それで、霊的基準型としては残っているのですが、実体基準はもてなかったので、霊 的勝利の基盤を築いた十二使徒型をこの地上に再臨役事とともに再現して、その時を準備しなければなりません。
この基盤が築かれたのちに、すなわち不信してイエス様を追放した使徒たちが活動し、再び信任される基盤を築いた上で、再臨役事が始まらなければなりませ ん。ですから、大韓民国の解放前を中心として、霊界に通じる人々の中に、私がペテロだ、ヨハネだ、パウロだ、あるいはアブラハムだと言って、歴史上に生ま れては死んでいった数多くの預言者たちを代表する人々が、一度にこの平面的な韓国の神霊的な人たちを中心として顕現するようになったのです。

7　今までは、悪の霊人たちが地上に来て役事したので、ノイローゼ現象や人格を破壊する現象が起きましたが、今からは違います。体を占領して共鳴圏を形成 して、正しく高い霊的な体験圏に入っていくようになるのです。高尚な人格圏が生じるのです。（259-163,　1994.04.02）

8　霊的現象は、神様による霊的現象とその反対現象、その二つしかありません。それはすぐ分かるようになります。すなわち善の現象と悪の現象に分けられる のですが、「善の現象はこのようにならなければならない」という公式的な脈があります。これをずっと合わせていかなければ何にもなりません。それで、何百 年ごとに、大転換期や霊的な大現象が起きるのです。
そのようになれば、その国が滅びたり栄えたりします。国が滅びるようになる時は悪霊が動員されます。また、大きく栄える時は善霊が動員されます。それをど のようにすれば世界の運勢に巻き込まれるようになるのでしょうか。それほど簡単ではありません。そのように考えれば、霊的現象や宗教の目的とはいったい何 でしょうか。霊的現象を起こして天が摂理を導いていくのも、結局は人間完成のためです。

9　悪神の役事も善神の役事も、出発は同じです。ただ結果が違います。おびえながら大騒ぎして、身もだえするということが起こります。全く同じだというの です。悪神も神霊役事をするのですが、結局は、役事してどこに入っていくのでしょうか。世界の利益に、天と地の利益に戻っていかず、自分の利益に戻ってい くというのです。そのようになれば必ず消えうせていくのです。自分を中心として個人的な利益に、自分の家庭を中心とした利益に戻っていってはいけません。 それも消えうせていくというのです。
あくまでも神様の摂理は、出発は同じ姿でしても、必ず世界を標準にしなければなりません。神様の解放と人類の解放を目標にしない教会は、終わりの日まで続 きません。自分の欲のままに行っては、自然に崩壊します。その指導者を連れていくのです。連れていくようになれば、その時代の環境を整えて連結させること ができません。自分が置かれている位置を知らないからです。

10　今日、人間世界に生きている皆さんは、人間世界を中心として霊的現象を見ることができます。どの時代も、いかなる時も、宗教人はもちろん、それ以外 の人々も、霊界との関係によって、霊界と混合した生活圏で生きていることは歴史的事実です。歴史過程を通じてそのように生活してきたという事実は、私たち が宗教を信じなかったとしても、夢を通じるなどして様々な神秘的な体験を通じて知っています。それで、霊界を見れば、善神と悪神がいて、地上ではその影響 を受けて善人と悪人に分けられるようになります。それは理論的な結果です。ですから、良い人、悪い人という、この概念は何でしょうか。良い神の協助を受け る人と悪い神の協助を受ける人がいるのですが、その二つの種類の内容に基づいて、良い人、または悪い人と結論を下すのです。

11　これからは、霊的現象まで見られるものを発明する時代が来ると思います。そのようになれば、霊界がないということを言えなくなります。霊眼が開かれ れば、霊界を見ることができます。すべての現象を、その世界に存在するすべてのものを、感覚的に感じるのです。天気予報のようにそれを見ることができるよ うになれば、神様がいないという言葉は言えなくなります。そのようになれば、宗教のようなものはなくなってもかまいません。堕落していなければ、そのよう な世界になっていたはずです。堕落世界となり、このようになってしまいました。復帰過程では、私たちにとってこの地上が、その世界と相対的に一致させてい く訓練所になっています。

Cheon Seong Gyeong Ⅱ - 300. Divine Spiritual Works and Spiritual Phenomena 
 
1 The spirit world and the earthly world are not two separate worlds cut off from each other. Under the fundamental principle of existence they have a mutual relationship of giving and receiving, that is, mutual exchange. We began our association originally as the Holy Spirit Association, with the aim of achieving unity through divine spiritual power. What is divine spirit? It does not refer to distributing transitory spiritual power or spiritual activity. It is the power of God’s love through which the spirit world and the human world can harmonize and resonate based on true love. The Unification Church movement of course moves the hearts of people through a lifestyle of true love, living for the sake of others and investing oneself for others, but also through gaining the spirit world’s cooperation. Spiritual phenomena and our attitude toward them
2 In the early days of Christianity, all manner of wonders took place, including speaking in tongues, carrying out works of the divine spirit and uttering prophecies. Because there were so many works of the divine spirit in the early church, ignorant people who did not understand the content and who encountered spiritual works here and there became confused. To overcome that confusion, they said, “The words of the Bible are best.” In the Bible we read that “In the Last Days I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh.” (Joel 2:28) This foretells that in the final days of Christian history, the phenomena of the early church will reappear in the world. Many groups will arise and will be accused from all quarters of being insane or heretical. The Unification Church is one such group. (6-184, 1959.04.26)
 
3 When those who have received an outpouring of the spirit do not know the reason for it, Heaven enlightens them. When they open their eyes, they see the spirit world, and when they act, they behave like the people in the spirit world. Their eyes, hearts and actions may be completely out of the ordinary. They may look like lunatics. Long ago, did Jesus appear to be a normal person? In the eyes of many people of the time, he must have seemed like a fool or a dullard. In the future, such spiritual phenomena will sweep through us, sweep through societies and sweep through religious bodies. Therefore around the world today the number of patients suffering from incomprehensible mental illnesses and diseases of the nervous system is increasing. A world of fear, a world of anxiety and fretfulness, is fast approaching. This is because Jesus, the Son of God, lived his whole life engaged with the Will, with fretfulness, anxiety and an agitated heart. That is why similar phenomena will sweep the world. When that happens, people will not be able to find their direction, try as they may, and events will come to pass in which what is true seems false and what is false seems true. An era is coming in which what is false will gain power and what is true will lose power, an era in which what is false prospers and what is true loses its voice. We need to pass through such a period. (6-184, 1959.04.26)
 
4 The more the Last Days advance, while some people are seized with dread, others will be seized with joy. Such developments will inevitably emerge. While there are some people who are extremely evil, there will be others who are extremely good. Something that is extremely evil cannot invade an extremely good person and something that is extremely good cannot have anything to do with an extremely evil person. Even God will not be able to hold on to this society. A time will come when even a spiritual person, even a person who has received the grace of Heaven, will be unable to unite this world, try though he might. When that time comes, the people living in the extremely evil world, the people who have failed to form a connection with Heaven, will surely find themselves subject to judgment. A time will come when a state like this will unfold in your heart: the mind desires to go this way, but the body desires to go that way. Those who struggle due to their failure to set the conditions to be able to unite their body and mind are surely bound for hell. (7-237, 1959.09.20)
 
5 God carries out His providence centered on a specific religious denomination. At the time of Jesus, He developed His providence internally in advance, without anyone knowing, centered on the families of Joseph and Zechariah. In the very same way, right after the liberation of Korea, Heaven prepared the content of this providence unknown to anyone. Thus, there had to be a group that could fulfill the mission of the archangel. What was lost spiritually will have to be found substantially, and the time to do this was the time before the liberation, so in that period one person who could carry out the mission of the archangel in the flesh had to come forth. This is why, from among the people who can communicate with the spirit world, some came forward claiming they were Peter or Paul, or asserting, “I am John the Baptist.” The twelve disciples did not have faith in Jesus, so to atone for having failed to lay a foundation for him, their spirits had to come down to lay this foundation substantially on earth. Such work has been carried out until this day. (50-207, 1971.11.07)
 
6 What is Jesus’ greatest sorrow? It is that he was unable to establish a substantial realm on earth with his disciples. The twelve disciples were unable to unite centered on Jesus; Joseph’s family was also unable to become one centered on Jesus; Judaism was unable to unite and the nation of Israel was unable to unite. Jesus tried to manage the situation based on the twelve disciples, but everything broke down. Jesus left behind the model spiritual standard, but because he could not establish the substantial standard, we need to reproduce the model of twelve disciples who establish the base of spiritual victory and work with the Lord of the Second Advent on the earth. After the foundation has been laid—that is, once the disciples who did not believe in Jesus and expelled him can believe in him and work again—the work of the Second Advent can begin. That is why in the time before the liberation of Korea, among those who could communicate with the spirit world, people claimed to be Peter, John, Paul or Abraham, and people representing many of the prophets who have come and gone in the course of history appeared all at once in the spiritual groups in the horizontal world of Korea. 7 Up to the present day, because evil spirits have come down to earth and carried out their work, there have been phenomena such as mental illness and the degradation of people’s character, but this will not be the case henceforth. We will conquer our bodies, form a realm of resonance and immediately enter the higher realm of spiritual experience. A realm of noble character will be formed. (259-163, 1994.04.02)
 
8 There are only two kinds of spiritual phenomena: those that are caused by God, and those that are not. We can tell right away; that is, when we classify spiritual phenomena as good or evil, we have a standard that tells us what a good phenomenon should be like. We should not move forward unless we check the phenomena according to that standard. Every few hundred years or so, a period of great transition or extensive spiritual phenomena comes about. When this takes place, a nation either perishes or prospers. If evil spirits are mobilized, it perishes. If good spirits are mobilized, it prospers exceedingly. How could the fortunes of the world get mixed up with all this? It is not a simple thing. Then what is the purpose of these spiritual phenomena or of religion? The reason Heaven stirs up spiritual phenomena in the course of the providence is in the end for the perfection of humankind. (227-117, 1992.02.11)
 
9 The works of an evil spirit and the works of a good spirit begin in the same way, but their results are different. In both cases, there is trembling, a disturbance and the overturning of things. There seems to be no difference between the two. But what comes of these works in the end? When carried out by an evil spirit, rather than profiting the world or benefiting heaven and earth, the results of such works profit only the evildoer. When you do something, it should benefit not only you as an individual or a family where you are the center. If it is done egocentrically, whatever the good intentions, it will eventually come to naught. To some extent, the spiritual phenomena of the providence of God at the start may appear the same as the evil side. But God’s providence sets its standard on the world level. A church with a purpose other than the liberation of God and the liberation of humanity cannot endure through the Last Days. That church will go its way based on greed and naturally collapse. Its leader will be taken away. And when that happens, that church will not connect to the environment of the age. This will be because the leader did not understand the situation he was placed in. 10 We who live today can witness spiritual phenomena in the world. It is a historical fact that, no matter the age or time, the realm of life for religious believers and non-believers alike has intermingled with the spirit world in accordance with each person’s relationship to the spirit world. We know that people lived in this way throughout history, even if we do not believe in religion, through dreams and various mystical experiences. Good spirits and evil spirits dwell in the spirit world and, owing to their influence, people on earth are divided into good and evil. This is logical. Then what is our concept of a good person and an evil person? There are those who receive help from good spirits and others who receive help from evil spirits. From these two sources of help, we can judge whether a person is good or evil. (131-167, 1984.05.01)
 
11 I think an age will come in which we even can invent instruments that will help us see spirit-world phenomena. When that comes to pass, no one will be able to say there is no world of the spirit. When your spiritual eyes are opened, you can see the spirit world. You will be able to perceive through your senses all the phenomena, everything that exists, in that world. If you could see such things as you would a weather forecast, you would not say, for example, that there is no God. Then it would be natural for religion to disappear. If there had been no Fall, this would have been such a world. Things turned out the way they did because of the Fall. In the process of restoration, this earth is a training center for us, to bring us into reciprocal relationship with that world. (256-250, 1994.03.14)
