<p>Spain and Portugal are facing a major power outage.</p><p>The outrage knocked out subway network, phone lines, traffic lights and ATM machines.</p><p>Authorities are still looking into what caused the blackout.</p><p>One Portuguese official said the problem appeared to be with Spain's electricity distribution network.</p><p>The Portuguse National Cybersecurity Center says there was no sign that was due to a cyber attack. </p><p>Hospitals and other emergency services in both conturies switched to generators and gas stations stopped working.</p><p>Spanish airports were operating on backup electrical systems and some flights were delayed.</p><p>I'm Marcela Sanchez.</p><p> </p>
