천성경 (증) - 314. 신앙생활의 길

1 인간은 타락한 인류시조의 후손으로 태어났기 때문에 타락의 고개를 넘지 않으면 하나님을 찾을 수 있는 길이 없고, 하늘나라에 들어갈 수조차 없습니다. 또 타락성을 지닌 존재로 떨어진 인간으로서는 타락했던 고개를 되넘어갈 수 있는 길을 모색했댔자 자체로서는 불가능합니다. 타락했던 고개를 되넘는 데는 반드시 내 힘이 아닌 제삼자의 힘에 의지할 수밖에 없습니다. 이런 처지에 놓여 있는 것이 오늘날 이 땅 위에 살고 있는 우리인데, 고맙게도 하늘이 우리를 버려두지 않고 타락의 고개를 넘게 하기 위해 지금까지 역사를 통해서 수난을 당하면서 그 책임을 짊어지고 나오고 있는 것입니다.

하나님의 뜻대로 사는 길
2 참된 신앙의 길이라 할 때 참이란 하나밖에 없습니다. 신앙의 대상은 누구냐? 절대적인 하나님입니다. 신앙생활은 하나님의 뜻에 맞게끔 하나님이 원하는 소원의 목적지를 찾아가기 위한 것입니다. 내가 원하는 것이 아니라는 것입니다. 신앙하는 사람들이 원하는 것이 아닙니다. 지금까지 세계적인 신앙계가 혼란이 벌어지는 것은 신앙의 목적이 자기를 중심삼고 하는 것이 아니라 하나님의 뜻을 이루기 위한 것임을 모르고 있기 때문에 문제가 벌어졌습니다.

3 모든 것이 자기와 연결되어 있습니다. 완성하는 것도 자신에게 달려 있고, 완성을 못하는 것도 자신에게 달려 있습니다. 성공하는 것도 자신에게 달려 있고, 성공을 못하는 것도 자신에게 달려 있습니다. 신앙생활도 그렇습니다. 일평생 같은 신앙생활을 하지만, 원래 양심을 중심삼고 최고의 목표에 도달하고 싶다는 것은 만민 공통입니다. 그러나 최고의 기준에 도달한다고 하는 것은 보통 일이 아닙니다. 올라가면 올라갈수록 최후에는 점점 적어집니다. 최후에는 하나면 전체가 완성한다고 하는 결론을 내지만, 그 하나에 도달하는 것이 어렵습니다. 양심은 선한 목적을 향해 지금까지 역사를 통해 왔지만 인간으로서 원하는 곳을 완성한다는 것은 여간한 일이 아닙니다.

4 생활 가운데 어떠한 자리에서 하늘과 동행할 것인가 하는 평가의 기준을 키워 나가는 생활이 통일교회의 신앙생활입니다. 이것이 여러분이 저나라에 갔을 때 재산이 되고, 앞으로 새로운 세대에서 역사의 주인공이 되느냐 아니면 낙오자가 되느냐를 결정하는 경계선이 되는 것입니다.

5 우리에게는 승리적 기준이 필요합니다. 사명을 완수할 수 있는 출발의 기점이 필요합니다. 이 말은 자기가 주체적 입장에서 승리적 기준을 세워야 한다는 것입니다. 그러지 않고는 목적하는 바를 실현시킬 수 없다는 것은 당연한 논리입니다. 그러면 승리적 기준을 어디에 세우느냐? 그것은 나 자신에 세워야 됩니다.

6 예수님이 이 땅에 와서 하나님의 전체 사명을 대신 짊어지고 천주에서 벌어진 이 싸움을 완결하기 위한 책임자로 섰을 때 언제나 문제시했던 것이 하나님과 예수님 자신이었습니다. 하나님은 천주의 중심이 되어야 하고 자신은 실체의 중심이 되어야 했습니다. 이것을 언제나 염두에 두고 나갔습니다. 만약 여기에서 간격이 벌어지고 하나의 목적 기준을 중심삼고 상충이 벌어지게 될 때는 승리의 방향으로 전진할 수 없는 것입니다.

7 예수님이 언제나 심중으로 깊이 생각한 것이 무엇이냐 하면, 아버지와 아들은 언제나 하나되어야 한다는 것이었습니다. 즉 승리적 주체인 하나님을 중심삼고 내가 땅에 있어서 주체적인 입장에서 승리적 기반을 갖추기 위해서는 먼저 내 마음에 하나님을 모셔야 된다는 인식을 가지고 있었습니다. 그런 입장에서 예수님이 자신을 일러 하나님의 성전이라고 한 말이 성립됩니다. 결국 승리적 기준이라는 것은 땅에서 하나님의 실체 되는 예수님을 중심삼고 성전과 같은 입장에서 일체가 되는 기반입니다. 즉 승리적 기준을 결정짓는다는 것을 표준 하지 않고는 복귀의 완결이라든가, 혹은 그 당시 예수님의 사명을 종결지을 방법이 없다는 것입니다. 이런 관점에서 신앙 기준을 세워 출발하지 않고는, 아무리 신앙생활을 오래 했고, 아무리 어려운 노정을 경과했다고 하더라도 승리의 기준을 갖춘 입장에 섰다고 할 수 없습니다. 그러므로 제일 큰 문제는 승리의 기준을 자기 자체 내에서 먼저 결정지을 수 있는 한때를 가져야 한다는 결론을 내릴 수 있습니다.

8 여러분이 참을 찾으려 할 때에는 참을 찾을 수 있는 마음이 필요하다는 것을 느껴야 될 것이며, 하늘과 땅이 즐길 수 있는 진리를 찾고자 원할 때에는 여러분의 몸이 스스로 참된 몸이 될 수 있는 참의 상대기준을 갖추어야 한다는 것을 깨달아야 됩니다. 참되신 하나님과 참된 진리와 참된 인간은 각각 그 존재방식이 다르지만, 내적 기준에 있어서는 같은 방향을 향해 움직이고 있다는 것입니다. 즉 하나님과 진리는 같은 방향을 향해 영원히 실존한다는 것입니다. 오늘날 우리가 살고 있는 이 땅을 바라보며 누구든지 이 세상이 참된 세상이 되지 못한 것을 한탄하고 있습니다. 또 자기 자신을 반성해 보며 참된 자신이 되지 못한 것을 한탄하고 있으며, 우리가 신앙의 길을 걸어 나가면서 참된 하나님을 찾고자 원하되 참된 하나님을 찾지 못하고 있는 것을 또한 탄식하고 있습니다. 이것이 신앙자들의 고통입니다.

9 우리가 생명을 걸어 놓고 신앙하는 것을 두고 볼 때도 한낱 흘러가는 세파와 더불어 흘러가 버리기를 바라고 신앙하는 사람은 없을 것입니다. 생애를 걸어 놓고 심각한 입장에서 신앙하면 할수록, 그 문제가 중하면 중할수록 그것이 깊게 넓게, 혹은 길이 남아지기를 누구나 원할 것입니다. 하나님이 우리를 대하여 바라보게 될 때에 심각한 하나님이라면 그 누구보다도 심각한 관점에서 자기를 보아 주기를 원하는 것이 우리의 소원일 것입니다. 또 자기가 연유되어서 세계에 그 무엇이 남아질 수 있기를 바라는 것이 신앙자로서 그 누구나 갖지 않을 수 없는 태도입니다.

10 신앙하는 사람들은 하나님의 아들이 된다고 하는데, 하나님의 소원이 무엇입니까? 하나님의 소원은 우리가 먹고 자고 하는 일상생활과는 관련이 없습니다. 그것은 누구나 다 하는 것입니다. 성경에 ‘무엇을 입을까, 무엇을 먹을까, 무엇을 마실까 걱정하지 마라. 그것은 다 이방 사람이 원하는 것이다. 너희는 그 나라와 그 의를 구하라!’라고 정의를 내렸습니다.

11 환경을 극복하여 하나의 새로운 면의 돌파구를 이루어서 매일같이 방향을 달리하는 길을 찾아가지 않고는 하나님이 원하는 세계로 갈 수 없는 것이 신앙길입니다. 그렇기 때문에 우리 자신이 신앙길을 가기 위해서는, 내 힘이 부족하고 나 자신이 하나님을 중심삼은 어떠한 습관적 기준, 생활적 기준을 갖지 못함으로써 이것이 변하기 쉬우므로 우리는 언제나 하나님을 표준으로 해서 오늘의 생활을 조정하지 않으면 안 됩니다.

天聖経 (增) - 314. 信仰生活の道

1　人間は、堕落した人類始祖の子孫として生まれたので、堕落の峠を越えなければ神様を訪ねることができる道はなく、天の国に入ることさえできません。ま た、堕落性をもった存在に落ちた人間としては、堕落した峠を再び越える道を模索したとしても、自分では不可能です。堕落した峠を再び越えるには、必ず自分 の力ではない、第三者の力に頼らざるを得ません。このような境遇に置かれているのが、今日この地上に生きている私たちなのですが、有り難くも、天は私たち を放置されず、堕落の峠を越えさせるために、今まで歴史を通して試練しながら、その責任を担ってきているのです。

神様のみ旨どおりに生きる道

2　真の信仰の道というとき、真とは一つしかありません。信仰の対象とは誰でしょうか。絶対的な神様です。信仰生活とは、神様のみ旨に合うように、神様が 願う目的地を訪ねていくためのものです。「私」が願うものではないというのです。信仰する人たちが願うものではありません。今まで信仰界の混乱が世界的に 広がったのは、信仰の目的が自分を中心としてするのではなく、神様のみ旨を成就するためのものであることが分かっていないからです。

3　すべてのことが自分と連結されています。完成するのも自らにかかっていて、完成できないのも自らにかかっています。
 成功するのも自らにかかっていて、成功できないのも自らにかかっています。信仰生活もそうです。一生涯、同じ信仰生活をしますが、本来、良心を中心として 最高の目標に到達したいというのは、万民共通です。
しかし、最高の基準に到連するというのは並大抵のことではありません。上がれば上がるほど、最後にはだんだんと少なくなります。最後には、一つで全体が完 成するという結論が出るのですが、その一つに到達するのが難しいのです。今まで歴史を通して良心は、善の目的に向かってきましたが、人間が願うところを完 成するというのは、並大抵のことではないのです。

4　生活の中で、どんな立場で天と同行するかという評価の基準を育てる生活が、統一教会の信仰生活です。これが皆さんがあの世に行ったとき、財産になり、 今後、新しい世代が歴史の主人公になるのか、あるいは落伍者になるのかを決める境界線になるのです。

5　私たちには勝利基準が必要です。使命を完遂できる出発の起点が必要です。これは、自分が主体的立場で勝利基準を立てなければならないということです。 そうでなければ、目的とするところを実現させられないというのは、当然の論理です。それでは、勝利基準をどこに立てるのでしょうか。それは、「私」自身に 立てなければならないのです。

6　イエス様がこの地に来て、神様の全体の使命を代わりに背負い、天宙において起こったこの闘いを完結するための責任者として立った時、いつも問題視した のが神様とイエス様御自身のことでした。神様は、天宙の中心にならなければならず、イエス様は実体の中心にならなければなりませんでした。これをいつも念 頭に置いていたのです。もし、ここに間隔が広がり、一つの目的の基準を中心として相いれないことが広がるようになるときは、勝利の方向に前進できないので す。

7　イエス様がいつも心中で深く考えたこととは何かというと、「父と息子はいつも一つにならなければならない」ということでした。すなわち勝利的主体であ る神様を中心として、自分が地において主体的な立場で勝利的基盤を備えるためには、まず自分の心に神様を迎えなければならないという認識をもっていたので す。そのような立場でイエス様が自分のことを「神の宮である」と言った話が成立するのです。結局、勝利の基準とは、地で神様の実体となるイエス様を中心と して、聖殿と同じ立場で一体になる基盤です。
すなわち、勝利の基準を決定することを標準としなければ、復帰の完結や、あるいはその当時、イエス様の使命を終結させる方法がないというのです。このよう な観点から信仰の基準を立てて出発しなければ、いくら信仰生活を長くしたとしても、いくら困難な路程を経過したとしても、勝利の基準を備えた立場に立った と言うことができません。ですから、一番大きな問題は、勝利の基準を、自分自体内でまず決定できるひと時をもたなければならないということであると結論を 下せるのです。

8　皆さんが真を求めようとするときには、真を求める心が必要だということを感じなければならず、天と地が喜ぶことのできる真理を探そうと願うときには、 皆さんの体が自ら真の体になる真の相対基準を備えなければならないことを悟らなければなりません。
 真であられる神様と真の真理と真の人間は、それぞれその存在の在り方が異なりますが、内的基準においては同じ方向に向かって動いています。すなわち、神様 と真理は同じ方向に向かって永遠に実存するというのです。
 今日、私たちが生きているこの地を見つめ、誰でもこの世が真の世の中になり得ないことを嘆いています。また、自分自身を反省してみながら、真の自身になれ ないことを嘆き、私たちが信仰の道を歩みながら真の神様と出会うことを願いますが、真の神様と出会えないことを嘆いています。これが信仰者たちの苦痛なの です。

9　私たちが命を懸けて信じるのを見るとき、単に流れる世の荒波とともに流れてしまうことを願って信じる人はいないはずです。生涯をかけて深刻な立場で信 じれば信じるほど、その問題が重要であればあるほど、誰でも、それが深く、広く、あるいは長く残されることを願うでしょう。神様が私たちを見つめるとき、 深刻な神様ならば誰よりも深刻な観点で自分を見てくれることを望むのが、私たちの願いでしょう。また、自分が起点となって世界に何かが残ることを願うの が、信仰者として誰もがもたざるを得ない態度なのです。

10　信仰をもつ人たちは、「神様の息子になる」と言いますが、神様の願いとは何でしょうか。神様の願いは、私たちが寝食を中心とする日常生活とは関連が ありません。それは誰でもすることです。聖書には、「何を食べようか、何を飲もうか、あるいは何を着ようかと言って思いわずらうな。これらのものはみな、 異邦人が切に求めているものである。あなたがたの天の父は、これらのものが、ことごとくあなたがたに必要であることをご存じである。まず神の国と神の義と を求めなさい」(マタイ六・三一～三三)と定義されているのです。

11　環境を克服して一つの新しい面の突破口をつくり、毎日のように方向を異にする道を訪ねていかなければ、神様が願う世界に行けないのが信仰の道です。 ですから、私たち自身が信仰の道を行くためには、「私」の力が不足し、私自身が神様を中心とした習慣的基準、生活的基準をもつことができないことによっ て、これが変わりやすいので、私たちは、いつも神様を標準としてきょうの生活を調整しなければならないのです。

Cheon Seong Gyeong Ⅱ - 314. The Path of Faith  

1 Because human beings are born as descendants of the fallen first human ancestors, we can neither find the path to God nor enter the heavenly nation unless we overcome the obstacle of the Fall. Furthermore, as beings encumbered with fallen nature, it is impossible to find the way to reverse the Fall on our own. In order to reverse the Fall, we cannot rely on our own power, but must rely on the power of a third party. Such is the plight of people living today. Fortunately, Heaven has not forsaken us. Throughout history Heaven has toiled, taking responsibility to guide us in reversing the conditions of the Fall. (076-091, 1975.02.01)
 
The path we must go in accordance with God's Will
2 When we talk about the true path of faith, “true” means there is only one path. What then, is the object of our faith? It is the absolute God. A life of faith is about seeking and finding the destination of hope desired by God, in accordance with His Will. A life of faith is not about what I want; it is not about the desire of those who lead a life of faith. Confusion has occurred within the global community of faith because people have not understood that a life of faith should be centered upon accomplishing God’s Will, not centered upon oneself. 3 Everything depends on oneself. It is up to each of us whether we achieve perfection or fail to achieve it. It is the same regarding whether we succeed or fail in life. Our life of faith is no different. Although our faith may be constant throughout our life, our conscience urges us to strive after ever-higher goals. Reaching the highest standard is, however, no ordinary undertaking. The higher we climb, the closer to the peak we are, until ultimately we realize that everything ends in unity. It is difficult, though, to reach that point of oneness: historically, our conscience has sought the purpose of goodness, yet the perfection we desire as human beings still eludes us. 4 In the Unification Church, your life of faith requires you to raise the standard by which you eval‎‎uate yourselves as you walk with God in your daily fives. When you go to the spirit world this higher standard will be your asset. It will also be the determining factor deciding whether in the new era you will be remembered in history as a hero or an outcast. (25-215, 1969.10.04)
 
5 Each one of us needs a victorious standard, a starting point from which we can accomplish our mission. This means we must establish a victorious standard from the subject partner position. Naturally, unless we establish a victorious standard, we will not be able to accomplish our purpose. Where must we establish this standard? It must be created within ourselves. (29-265, 1970.03.11)
 
6 When Jesus came to earth carrying God’s entire mission on His behalf, standing as the one responsible for ending a cosmic struggle, the issue for Jesus was always to focus on his relationship with God. God was to be the center of heaven and earth and Jesus the substantial center. Jesus was constantly mindful of this fact. If any gap between himself and God had opened, or a conflict over their purpose had arisen, they would not have been able to progress toward victory. (29-265, 1970.03.11)
 
7 Deep in his heart, Jesus carried the conviction that the Father and Son must always be united. In other words, centering on God, the victorious subject partner, Jesus was fully aware that in order to prepare a victorious foundation as a subject partner on earth, he needed to attend God in his heart. It is from this standpoint that Jesus referred to himself as the temple of God. Achieving a victorious standard means to create a foundation of unity, of becoming a temple centering on Jesus, the substantial manifestation of God on earth. In other words, to complete a victorious foundation, a standard must be established. Otherwise the completion of restoration, the accomplishment of Jesus’ mission, would be impossible. Therefore, unless we establish a standard of faith and begin, we cannot claim that we have attained a victorious foundation. This is true no matter how long we have practiced a life of faith or how difficult our course may have been. In conclusion, the most important point is to have one moment that defines the standard of victory within oneself. (29-266, 1970.03.11)
 
8 When you seek what is true, you need a heart that longs for what is true. When you yearn for the truth in which heaven and earth can take delight, you must realize that you have to prepare yourself to match the standard of what is true from Heaven’s perspective. The means of existence may differ between the true God, true truth and true human beings. However, from an internal point of view, all three move in the same direction. In other words, God and truth move in one direction and coexist eternally. When we look at today’s world, we lament that this world has not become a true world. Furthermore, when we look deeply within ourselves, we lament not becoming true people and deplore not finding the true God in our lives of faith, despite yearning to do so. This is the agony faced by those who lead a life of faith. (4-187, 1958.04.20)
 
9 No one who lives a life of faith at the risk of his or her life wants to see his or her faith simply crumble amid life’s tribulations. The more seriously we practice our faith, the greater the trials we encounter and the more we want our faith to become deeper, wider and more enduring. If God is a serious God, then when He looks at each of us, we want Him to look more seriously at us than others look at us. Furthermore, as believers we all desire to leave a legacy in this world related to the cause most dear to our hearts. (44-322, 1971.05.30)
 
10 As believers, we say we will become God’s children. Yet what is God's wish? God’s ultimate wish for us has nothing to do with the mundane matters of our daily lives such as eating and sleeping. These activities are common to everyone. The Bible clearly tells us, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things... But strive first for the kingdom of God and His righteousness.” (Matt. 7:31-33) (104-097, 1979.04.15)
 
11 A life of faith involves overcoming the constraints of our environment, making breakthroughs every day and constantly seeking new paths. Unless we do so, we cannot enter the kingdom desired by God. Since we often lack energy and since our habits and daily lives do not meet a high standard on our path of faith, we need to uphold God as our standard and adjust our daily lives accordingly.
