제 3계......刱(창)......시작하다......第299事

  Step 3 : Chang(刱,창)... Beginning / Initiating... Item no. 299.

刱(창)은 착함을 시작하는 것이다.

  Chang(刱,창) means initiating goodness.

쪄서 물든 것을 제거하는 것은 쪄서 시작함이다.

  Removing stains by steaming / cleansing is to begin through steaming / cleansing.

빨아서 더러운 것을 제거하는 것은 빨아서 시작하는 것이다.

  Removing dirt by washing is to begin through washing.

뉘위쳐서 악함을 제거하는 것은 착함이 시작되는 것이다.

  Removing evil through repentance is the beginning of goodness.

몸이 혼탁함을 벗겨 내고 마음의 맑은 물에 씻어 내면  가히 그 福(복)을 받을 수 있게 된다.

  When one sheds the turbidity of the body and washes oneself in the clear water of the heart,

  one becomes worthy of receiving blessings.

刱은 刱善也니 (창은 창선야니)

  Chang(Initiating) refers to initiating goodness.

蒸而去染者는 蒸刱也요 (증이거염자는 증창야요)

  Removing stains by steaming / cleansing is to initiate through steaming / cleansing.

浣而去汚者는 浣刱也요 (완이거오자는 완창야요)

  removing dirt by washing is to initiate through washing;

悔而去惡者는 善刱也니 (회이거악자는 선창야니)

  removing evil through repentance is the initiation of goodness.

脫身混乘하며 洗心淸流라 (탈신혼승하며  세심청류라)

  Shedding the bodily turbidity and darkness, wash the heart in clear flowing streams;

可領其福이니라. (가령기복이니라.)

  then one becomes worthy of receiving blessings.

 [Explanation,풀이]

惡(악)한 마음을 세탁하여 원래의 善(선)모습으로 돌아가게 한다면 그것처럼 큰 공도 없는 것이다.

  If one washes away an evil mind(惡,악) and returns it to its original state of goodness(善,선),

  there is no greater merit or achievement than this.
