지남석으로 말하면 지남석 성분이 없는 쇠보다도 지남석 성분이 있는 쇠는 당기는 힘이 더 강한 것과 마찬가지로, 그 인연의 강도에 따라서 천태만상으로 느낌이 달라지는 것입니다.

그렇기 때문에 동족끼리 사랑하고 싶은 것은 엮어진 역사적 인연이 있기 때문이라는 것입니다. 

여러분, 아버지 어머니가 왜 자식을 사랑하느냐? 아들은 어디서 나왔느냐 하면 아버지와 어머니에게서 나왔습니다.

그러므로 그 아버지 어머니의 성품을 전부 다 빼낸다면 그 아들의 성품은 없는 것입니다. 그렇잖아요? 혹은 딸이 있으면 그 딸이 아버지 어머니를 통해서 태어났지 아버지 어머니가 없는 데서 태어난 것이 아닙니다.

아버지 어머니의 성품을 바탕으로 해서 태어났기 때문에, 그것을 전부 다 거두어들인다 하게 되면 그 딸은 아무 성품도, 아무 인연도 없는 존재가 되는 것입니다. (50- 264)

6) 愛が介在しているので - 2

磁石で言えば、磁石成分のない鉄よりも磁石成分のある鉄が引き寄せる力がより強いのと同じく、その因縁の強度に従って千態万状に感じ方が違ってくるのです。

それゆえ、同族同士で愛したいと思うのは、連綿たる歴史的因縁があるからだというのです。

皆さん、父母はなぜ子どもを愛するのでしょうか 。息子はどこから生まれたかと言えば、父親と母親から生まれました。そして、その父親と母親の性稟を皆除けばその息子の性稟はないのです。そうではありませんか。

あるいは娘がいればその娘は父母を通して生まれたのであって、父母がいないところで生まれたのではありません。

父母の性稟を土台として生まれたので、それをすべて取り去ることになれば、その娘はいかなる性稟もいかなる因縁もない存在となるのです。（一九七一・一一・八、中央修練院）

Speaking of iron, just as an iron which has more magnetic elements is stronger in a magnetic force, so you feel a different extent of feeling according to the depth of relationship. 

So, it is natural that the same brethren are inclined to feel more intimate and love. It is because of the historically close relationship by which they are bound together. Why do mothers and fathers love their children? 

It is because the children originate from their parents. Therefore, if the characters of parents were taken out of their children, there would be nothing of their own characters left. 

Whether it is a son or daughter, he or she stems from the parents. One is born, taking after the character of one's parents. 

Without his/her parents' characters, a child will become a being who has neither nature nor relationships. (50-264)
