[뜻1] 有歲(유세)......세월이 걸림.

 [Meaning 1]  Yuse(有歲,유세)... Taking time / Passage of years.   

有歲(유세)는 악을 버리고 善(선)을 취하는 것으로서 족히 몇 해 동안의 시간이  걸리는 것이다.

  Yuse(有歲,유세) means discarding evil and pursuing goodness(善,선),

   a process that takes several years to accomplish.

인간의 본 바탕이 惡(악)하면 사람을 상하게 하고 마음이 惡(악)하면  사람을 함정에 빠뜨리며
욕심이 惡(악)하면 사람에게 잔인하게하니,

  If human basic nature is evil, it harms others ; if the mind is evil,

  it leads people into traps ; and if desire is evil, it acts cruelly toward others.

능히 이 세 가지 惡(악)을 제거하고 善(선)을 이룩하여 또 그 햇수가 오래됨을 이루어서
예전의 시작으로 되돌아가지 않으면 어릴 때부터 쌓은 착함과 같이는 이루기 어려워도
가히 그 福(복)을 받을 수 있게 된다.

  Therefore, if one successfully removes these three forms of evil, achieves goodness,

   and maintains it over many years without reverting to past beginnings,

   even if it is difficult to equal the goodness accumulated since childhood,

   one still becomes worthy of receiving blessings.

有歲者는 去惡就善이 足有幾歲也라 (유세자는 거악취선이 족유기세야라)

  Yuse(Taking Time / Passage of Years) regers to discarding evil and pursuing goodness,

  which takes a considerable number of years.

性惡은 傷人하며 心惡은 陷人하고 (성악은 상인하며 심악은 함인하고)

  If one′s basic nature is evil, it harms others ; if the mind is evil, it entraps others ;

欲惡은 殘人이니 能去三惡而就善하고 (욕악은 잔인이니 능거삼악이취선하고)

 and if desire is evil, it acts cruelly toward others.

  If one eliminate these three evils and pursue goodness,

取又有歲하여 不回舊頭면 (취우유세하여 불회구두면)

  and maintain this over many years without turning back to old ways,

難于稚善이라도 可領其福이니라. (난우치선이라도 가령기복이니라.)

  even if it is difficult to equal the innocence of goodness accumulates since childhood,

   one  still becomes worthy of receiving blessings.
