*on the blink-not operating well (상하여, 못쓰게 되어)

  ex)My computer is on the blink again.

*ahead of-in advance of; at an earlier time than (앞선, 이른)

  ex)We arrived an hour ahead of them.

*fed up-unable or unwilling to put up with something any longer (지친)

  ex)Jack was fed up with the poor customer service and canceled.

*cheapskate-a stingy person; a miser (구두쇠)

  ex)Sean was such as cheapskate that he never tipped.

*bargain basement-very low-priced (아주 싼 가격의)

  ex)We couldn't afford the food stuff, so we bought the bargain basement variery.

*ante up-to hand over; pay (기부하다)

  ex)I can't believe that you have to ante up so much for the bill.

*shop around-to go from store to store in search of merchandise or bargains (물건을 사러 상점을 순회하다) 

  ex)Mary always hops around to make sure she gets the lowest price.

*scout around-to go in search of something (정찰하다, 찾아다니다)

  ex)I scouted around the neighborhood for a decent coffee shop.

1.on the blink

   a. 텔레비전이 고장날 때마다 내가 세게 치면 다시 작동한다.

    b. 내 노트북은 내가 할 일이 있을때 마다 고장나는 것 같다.

    c. 내가 리모콘을 떨어뜨렸더니 지금은 그게 고장났다.

2.shop aroudn

   a. 엄마는 내가 상점을 둘러 봐야만 한다고 말씀하셨다.

    b. 엄마는 상점을 여러 군데 보고 다녀야 한다고 주장하기 때문에 나는 엄마와 쇼핑몰에 가는 것이 싫다.

    c. 물건을 보고 다니지 않으면 너는 많은 돈을 쓰게 될 것이다.
